Mum has been at Talbot View for the past 4 years and during that time I can honestly say I have been very happy with her care. Of cause inevitably on occasion there are minor issues crop up, but those have always been resolved to our satisfaction. The new management are a huge improvement to the previous one, and always happy to listen and make time for me - which is much appreciated. Well done to all of you!
Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience. We're delighted to hear that you've been happy with your mum's care over the past four years. Your feedback means a great deal to our team, and we're especially pleased that you've felt listened to and supported...
Mum lived at Talbot View for over three years. Her room was brightly decorated and she was able to bring her own drawers and bookcase with her, this gave a homely feel to her experience. In comparison to other care homes, the building is spacious and 'airy'. We very much enjoyed the garden too. Talbot View provided the best care they could for Mum, always respectful of her routine, wishes and character, relationships were 'built' up over the years, there was amazing trust. The Care Assistants are down to earth, professional and a credit to Care South.
Thank you for your thoughtful and heartfelt review. We are so pleased that Talbot View felt like a true home for your mum and that you enjoyed the welcoming environment and beautiful gardens. Your kind words about our team, respectful care and the trusting relationships they built over the years mean a great deal. We will be sure to share your lovely feedback with them.
There are daily options for activities, and the staff are attentive, kind, and really interested in our mother and her life's story. There is space for group activities, as well as personal space for quiet times. Many activities are delivered by the home care team, whilst guest visitors provide an outside interest for residents.
There is a beautiful garden, easily accessible to mother and it has garden furniture and sunshades which makes her visits to the garden very enjoyable. We are delighted with our choice of a safe, comfortable, and caring community for this stage of mother's life. The administration and management is efficient, calm and confident.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We're delighted to hear that Talbot View has provided such a welcoming and comfortable home for your mother. Your kind words about our team, dining, activities, gardens, and management mean a great deal to us. It's a privilege to be part of your mother's journey, and we're grateful for your trust and support.
The staff were kind and very good. The home was bright, cheerful, light and airy. The library was well stocked and a pleasant place to sit. The lounge was very comfortable to sit in. The dining room was laid out attractively. The food was very good. The garden was lovely and it was a pleasure to sit outside. The activities were very well organised.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We're delighted you enjoyed the warm atmosphere, comfortable surroundings, beautiful garden, activities, and food. Your kind words about our staff mean a great deal to the whole team.
Always feel my aunt is very well looked after by the staff.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It means a lot to hear that you feel that your aunt is well looked after. Our team works hard to provide a caring and supportive environment, and feedback like yours reassures us that we're making a positive difference. We'll be sure to share your comments with the staff.
She always spoke highly of all the staff and couldn't be happier with the care her husband was receiving, so it was just natural for her to move to TV when she needed to. It was like home from home.
My friend passed away recently. My friend had a good quality of life in her last months. The Care Team at TV didn't just provide physical comfort to her, they also ensured she was emotionally well.
All the time, my friend lived at TV she was treated with dignity and respect, knowing her husband would continue to be treated the same way.
Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt tribute. We're deeply sorry for your loss, but truly grateful to hear your friend felt at home and was cared for with dignity, comfort, and compassion. Your kind words mean a great deal to our team.
My friend seems contented at Talbot View. The extremely kind staff are patient in their dealings with a man who has dementia, and was in normal life an independent spirit. He delights in the home's gardens, and he loves the food. The music played in the hallway is of one type only, and sadly doesn't fit with the taste of all residents. My friend was a professional musician and teacher, and likes mid 20th Century jazz and classical music. The laundry can be disappointing, but considering the demands made on it, it's hardly surprising. Talbot View is a very good place to be if you need care.
Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We're delighted to hear your friend is enjoying the gardens, food, and the care provided by our team. We truly appreciate your comments about the music and laundry... these are helpful, and we'll look at how we can better cater to residents' individual tastes and continue improving our service. Your kind words mean a great deal to us.
All the staff are brilliant but Jamie is outstanding. He is kind, patient, funny, patient focused and he has a heart of gold. I hope he qualifies for some sort of internal recognition. As an ex service director if he was in my team he would be a strong candidate for employee of the year.
Thank you so much for your kind review. I will share your feedback with the whole team, I know it'll be greatly appreciated. Many thanks once again, it means a lot.
My mother was a resident in 2025, l had to take her out the manger would come into her room and drink her rum directly from the bottle, which is very inappropriate upset her greatly. We left my mother in their trust, we assumed that she would be looked after, which was obviously not the case we are still pursuing action against them.
Thank you for sharing your concern in relation to your mother's care whilst a resident at Talbot View. As you are aware, Care South has taken steps to address the situation (via its own robust procedures) and you and members of the team have met to discuss the issues and, so as to ensure that the...
Discussions & comments have been made previously but since nothing has really changed! We are still short of certain cutlery & not enough suitable tables etc. Again, we found my dad with a dirty face & wet trousers. We were told choice of meals was always shown to the residents but they are not. There are a lot of little things I could comment on but I have mentioned it all before. As stated previously, there is not enough staff (carers).
Thank you for your review. We always welcome any feedback good or not so as an opportunity to further improve. I am sorry that you have had to raise previously raised concerns again and I would be delighted to meet you with the new home manager at your earliest convenience to ensure that our high standards of care are met.
Positives for this: large, beautiful gardens. Warm, clean, well decorated, attractive home. Reception staff very welcoming and helpful. Majority of carers show empathy to residents and good level of support. Negatives: training is needed to keep hearings aids safe - lost too frequently. Smart speaker (Mulberry floor) sound speaker sometimes plays loud, inappropriate music - other people are not asked about music choice. More communication between relatives and seniors regarding medical concerns. More one to one conversation with residents in their rooms all day.
Many thanks for your review. Your comments will be passed on to the team.
Mum spent a very happy 14 months here. She was well looked after by an excellent team of carers. From the moment she arrived at Talbot View she received kind and loving care, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff here. Many activities are arranged for residents and Mum joined in where she could and as a family we were grateful to be included either at the time or by being sent photos of her interaction. During her final days she was treated with the utmost respect and you could feel and see the genuine love, care and kindness that the staff had for her. We could not recommend Talbot View highly enough. You would not find better care for your family member.
Thank you so much for your review, it means a lot and it will be shared with the team, I know they will very grateful to read your kind words.
Choosing a care home for my mother was a very difficult decision due to advancing Alzheimer's. Due to the nature of my employment within the NHS, I chose Talbot View as Care South have really improved have really improved over the last 5 years. The rooms are bright and airy, I love the fact that Talbot View has small areas for residents and have created a real family atmosphere. I have never known such a kind, caring and dedicated staff; they are all amazing.
Thank you so much for your review. It's lovely to hear that you think the staff are all amazing, kind, caring and dedicated. They will really appreciate the feedback. Again, thank you so much, it means a lot.
Amazing staff! All so helpful and caring towards my mother (89 years). We were initially very worried about mum going into full time care, but the manager and the rest soon assured us of the level of care here, and it became obvious that this is where she needs to be. Thank you all.
Thank you for your review, we are so pleased to hear that your worries about full time care have been alleviated and that you are happy with the level of care your Mother is receiving. The team will be so happy to hear that you think they are amazing, it means so much. Thank you again.
My mother has been with Talbot View since the end of May. The staff are amazing and anticipate mum's needs so quickly. She has been able to settle in smoothly and joins in activities every day. The rooms are immaculate and cleaned every day and we have been able to personalise mum's room without any problems. All departments are happy to help with requests and they don't mind me popping in every day to see how mum is doing. It feels like one big family and I am so pleased I secured mum a place, she is so happy.
Thank you so much for your review. We are so pleased that Mum is happy and has settled in smoothly. It's great that you find the home to be immaculately clean and that you find the team are happy to help with your requests. We will share your wonderful feedback with everyone in the team and thank you again for your kind words, it means a lot.
Both parents are staying in Talbot View, and I can't fault the caring staff as well as looking after their health and safety, the staff make them welcome and happy at a difficult time. They work tirelessly but always have a smile and a good sense of humour with residents and visitors.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We're so pleased to hear your parents feel welcome and well cared for at Talbot View. Your kind words mean a lot to the team and will be truly appreciated.
Talbot View in my opinion, is definitely the tops. Management, head carers, all the carers and staff working there give wonderful care, attention, and love to all the residents and visitors. My husband and I used to visit residents from our church who had moved to Talbot View, and he actually said years ago to a head carer that when he got too old to cope, that Talbot View was where he wanted to be. Thankfully, when that time cam,e his wish was granted.
Thank you so much for sharing this touching message. It means a great deal to know that Talbot View left such a lasting impression on you both, even years before your husband became a resident. We're honoured to have been able to support his wish and care for him in the way he hoped for. Your kind words will mean a lot to the whole team.
My father has been a resident at Talbot View for almost 3 years. During that time, I have got to know many members of the staff. I visit Dad frequently and I always receive such a warm, friendly welcome from them. My father has also developed a strong rapport with them and they are so caring and kind towards him. The attitude of staff throughout Talbot View is so very professional and I know that he is in very safe hands. His carers do their best to put a smile on Dad's face every day and he really enjoys their company. The staff never rush when they are helping Dad even though they have many other residents to care for. Dad's preferences are always a priority and staff are always available to answer queries when family members seek reassurance.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're delighted to hear that your father feels happy and supported at Talbot View, and that you've experienced such a warm welcome from the team. It's lovely to know he enjoys the company of our staff and that his care feels personal and reassuring. We'll be sure to share your feedback with the team - it means a great deal to them.
Able to park on arrival, good safe security on front door. Toilets lovely and clean downstairs. Rooms all very clean and tidy. My auntie is nearly 102 and frail, but they try and get her up and out in wheelchair. She always looks neat and tidy and clean - skin always looks well-creamed etc. Always offered a hot drink - staff so helpful and friendly and able to update us on Auntie's health. Thank you.
Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear your comments around the cleanness and friendliness of the home and team and will share this review with the home.
My father had been resident at Talbot View Care Home for nearly two years until his death on the 29th of January 2025. My husband and I are very grateful to all the staff for their love, care and kindness - and the many cups of tea.
Thank for your review - We all send our condolences to you and your family at this sad time. Thank you for your lovely words, we will share them with the team.
