We are very satisfied with all the care and services provided - the staff are so helpful and friendly.
What lovely words about The Laurels & Pine Lodge. Our lovely friendly team will be thrilled with your kind comments.
Although my auntie was only at the Care Home for a very short period of time, the staff showed understanding and patience with my auntie's needs. The care and compassion shown by all staff was excellent. I would recommend highly The Laurels and Pine Lodge.
Thank you so much for your very kind words about The Laurels & Pine Lodge. It was our pleasure to look after your auntie. We shall share your lovely review with all the team that cared for her.
I have been visiting the care home of Oakdale, The Pine Lodge and what I have to deal with. Two care workers are very rude and make up lies about me. I have phoned the manager in charge and it is no better when I visit once a week and telephone every day. There is nowhere to wait in bad weather. I am in need of warmth which I haven't got.
The staff at the Laurels and Pine Lodge are always friendly and helpful and cared for my dad very well, in sometimes challenging times. The food always smells lovely when you walk by and looks lovely too.
Thank you very much for your wonderful comments about the Laurels & Pine Lodge. It was our pleasure to look after and support your dad during these very challenging times. We shall pass on your compliments to our fantastic chef.
Pine Lodge has provided a reassuring final home for my mother-in-law during the last years of her life. It is a difficult decision to move an elderly relative from their home of many years. In our case, it was a necessity due to her advancing dementia. We were comforted by the care and consideration shown to her always, particularly knowing how tough it was for staff recently, with the pandemic. Everyone has been wonderful and this meant a lot to us given that we live some distance away from Poole. Being able to check in via Skype provided a regular opportunity to know she was safe and well. Our sincere thanks to the guardian angels at Pine Lodge.
What a wonderful review of Pine Lodge. Thank you very much for your very kind words about the way in which we have cared for your mother-in-law. It has been a tough time for all of us, but our main priority throughout has been to keep you, our residents' relatives, full informed about your loved...
Overall a well-run, clean, tidy, and caring home. The staff are very caring. Residents are treated with dignity. Thank you.
Thank you very much for your very kind comments about The Laurels & Pine Lodge, which we will share with our wonderful team members, who are caring for your loved one.
On arrival, I was treated with respect and found him in good spirits. The staff were all very helpful.

I knew about The Laurels when I was a little girl, always heard good things about it. So when I was older and became a private carer; and my ladies could no longer cope at home, The Laurels was the first home I thought of. The staff are wonderful, helpful, friendly, and problems are sorted out promptly. Both my ladies are very happy there, and I visit regularly when Covid permits.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review of The Laurels & Pine Lodge. It is our pleasure to look after your ladies, and we are so glad they are very happy in our care. We shall share your fantastic comments with all our helpful, friendly team, who will be delighted to know how much you appreciate everything they are doing for your lovely ladies.
My husband came to stay with you 11/11.2020. For me, this has been a very setting time. I am finding it very difficult to come to terms with it but saying this, the only good thing that has come out of it is finding you, as my brother-in-law knew someone who was looked after there said how caring they were, which is so true. I can't thank the staff enough for helping me and looking after him; they give me so much support, which is ongoing. They are just wonderful to him. As they say, this is the only good thing which has come out of this, this is more than a good home, they even sent me valentines cared from him, I just cried. They just go the extra mile, can't wait to cuddle him soon. My thanks to you all.
Thank you so much for your wonderful words about The Laurels and Pine Lodge. We fully understood how upsetting it was for you when your husband came to stay with us, but we wanted to reassure you that we would do everything we could to support you during this very difficult time. It is our pleasure...
My mother has now been a resident for four years, and always appears cheerful and well looked after. In the four years I have been visiting, the vast majority of staff have remained unchanged - speaking volumes for their own happiness and welfare at The Laurels & Pine Lodge.

You have done a very good job with my mother, considering working with the virus hanging around.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. This means so much to us all at The Laurels during what has been a very challenging time but our priority throughout has been to keep your mother and all our residents safe and well throughout. We shall share your lovely comments with all the team here.
I have been at The Laurels since 10th Dec 2020 and find it a very sociable and friendly care home. All the staff are very willing to look after us and nothing is too much for them to do.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It's a pleasure to look after you here at The Laurels especially during this challenging time. We shall pass on your kind remarks to the terrific team which has been looking after you.
Due to the virus, we have been unable to actually see Mum in person for around 10-11 weeks now. But thanks to the wonderful staff, we can Skype, or speak to Mum on the phone anytime, and they kindly post any activities they do on Facebook, so we can see photos as well. Who knows how long this will go on for, but we do know Mum is as safe as she can be and well looked after by such lovely caring carers. We just hope we can visit again soon until then thank you to all the staff and keep safe.
Thank you so much for your very kind words about The Laurels & Pine Lodge. In these challenging times, we know how important it is for us to keep you in touch with your Mum through Skype and on the phone. Our Facebook page is also the ideal place to show you what everybody is doing, keeping safe,...
I can't express enough, how grateful I and all the family are, that we chose The Laurels for our Aunty when she needed to go into care. It's such a blessing to know she is cared for by each and every member of staff, in such a friendly happy atmosphere. She has a lovely homely room, which they encouraged her right from the start, to give it her personal touch to make it her home. She can spend time there when she wants to relax with her radio, but she can choose to join others in the lounges which she enjoys. There are many social events too aimed at bringing a smile with music from the past. Family and friends are also welcomed and we in turn, have had a lovely time. She so enjoys the food they serve, and all her medical and mobility needs are met. Thank you. Sadly we are now in a difficult time with Covoid19 but we are so pleased she is in the right place. Being cared for by a bright and friendly team, and knowing she is safe and happy. A big thank you to you all.
Thank you very much for your wonderful review. We are so glad you are happy with the way in which we are looking after your Aunty. Our aim is always to ensure our residents live their best lives whether they prefer to stay in their rooms and relax alone, or join in with some of the many activities...
My aunt was only in The Laurels for 6 days, after a trying time in hospital. All the staff treated her with dignity, patience (they needed it!) and caring. She ended her days being safe and supported 24/7. I cannot praise the management and staff enough for their care and consideration to my Aunt and myself.
What a lovely review. Thank you so much for your kind comments about The Laurels and Pine Lodge. We are so glad you were happy with the way in which we cared for your aunt in the latter days of her life. Our wonderful team there will really appreciate your praise and thanks.
The Pines was initially recommended by social services. My wife entered into respite care periods after a short stay in hospital. I was impressed by the welcome and atmosphere. It is always warm and 'pleasant smelling'. The staff do an excellent job despite the many demands on their efforts. My wife quickly settled in and was made very welcome. Her room is kept at a high standard, as is her personal hygiene. I'm very glad my wife is at The Pines, I know she's happy and well looked after.
Thank you so much for your very kind words about the Pines. We are delighted you are really happy with the way our fantastic team there is caring for your wife. We shall pass your lovely comments on to them so they know how much their efforts are being appreciated by you.
My friend has enjoyed her stay and thanks to all the staff at The Laurels for their care and support. All your staff are a credit to you.
Thank you for your very kind words. We are delighted that your friend enjoyed her stay with us at the Laurels. We shall certainly pass on her thanks and your praise to the team that cared for her.

Meet the Team (2)

As Home Manager at The Laurels and Pine Lodge Residential Home, I am proud of the journey I have taken, and I feel deeply privileged to work with such a dedicated team and wonderful residents.
I began my career here as a carer and over the years, through determination and a passion for the care industry, I was fortunate enough to progress through the roles from Senior Carer all the way to Home Manager.
I love what I do and feel privileged to make a difference in our residents' lives. Person-centred care is central to my approach, ensuring every resident is treated with respect, compassion, and dignity. It's not just about providing care; it's about building meaningful relationships and ensuring that each resident feels like a valued part of our family here at The Laurels and Pine Lodge.
I am grateful for the opportunity to lead a team of dedicated professionals and to continue providing the highest standard of care for our residents. Every day is a chance to learn, grow, and make a positive impact, which makes this job so special to me.

I have worked at The Laurels and Pine Lodge for ten years now, starting my career with Hartford Care back in 2013 as a Care Assistant, becoming a Senior Care Assistant in 2017 and now being promoted to Deputy Manager.
I love working here, we have a fabulous, supportive team at The Laurels and Pine Lodge, and I love being able to give the residents and their families the best care possible and uphold the company values of care, comfort and companionship.
