My mum, 90 years old and suffering from Double Parallel Dementia has been a resident for 2 years now. We as a family could not wish for more from the care and attention that she has received from the staff. So patient and understanding. The facilities are so well kept and cleanliness is apparent at all times in both residents own rooms and with the public areas. Staff ensure that all residents are clean, up and out of bed. And meal times ensure that they are well fed.

Overall, I am very happy with the care my mother receives. She always looks clean and well cared for. The staff are polite and often say "hello" to her when passing. My only small gripe, is that weekend staff appear to be less plentiful, so there is not the same consistency as weekdays.

My mother is very content in Faithfull House where she has been a resident for two and a half years. Her room is the highlight as it has lovely views across Suffolk Square. We, as a family, feel that she is well looked after by caring staff and is safe in their hands.

I have been very happy here for nearly 12 years having arrived on 1st March 2005. I have been very well treated and cared for in sickness and in health. I have been given a great deal of privacy and independence. I am secure in the knowledge that if necessary I will get immediate help and hospital treatment. There are plenty of people for companionship and a good choice of friends. I know that if anything happens to me the management would immediately get in touch with my family and next of kin.

Overall Experience

Mum has been resident at Faithfull House for 1 year. I am impressed by all those at the home: the receptionists who are happy to deal with family concerns, the catering staff who take the trouble to learn the individual likes and dislikes, the kindly and dignified approach to offering personal care, the activity coordinators who encourage involvement in the range of activities and events offered, the domestic staff who ensure the rooms and public areas are clean and fresh. Carers and senior staff have proved attentive to any ill health concerns and have sought prompt medical attention and provide regular room checks on those in bed. While residents are encouraged to be up and participating, they also allow for personal choice of staying in bed/their rooms. Special events are celebrated (Queen's birthday, Christmas, individual birthdays), and family members are openly welcome and can join residents for meals. The question regarding Value for money - can you put a price on peace of mind?
