The care they take of mum is wonderful, she is always clean, tidy and food is fabulous. However, it's the activities and outings that are so amazing, two activities a day and amazingly diverse, sometimes I visit so I can join in the activities!

My mother-in-law is treated very well and is about to complete 4 years at Burnworthy House at the end of this month (August). Although wheelchair bound and unable to walk, she is taken out to many places and able to join in activities, even at the age of 101 plus.

My father-in-law moved into Burnworthy House 2 1/2 years ago. Throughout this time he was welcomed in by all the staff and made to feel comfortable in his new surroundings. All the staff are wonderful and you can see they enjoy their work, as they are so caring and attentive. He enjoyed banter and laughs with all the staff and residents. He particularly loved all the visits from local animals e.g. dogs, owls, tortoises, reptiles, lambs etc. I would have no hesitation in recommending.

My father moved into Burnworthy House back in Nov 2023. He sadly passed away through frailty of old age in May 2026. From the first day right through to his passing, he received excellent care, support and attention from all the wonderful staff. I received calls with updates when necessary, and I felt he was safe in their wonderful care. They have been so thoughtful and considerate after his passing to myself and my husband. I would highly recommend the home.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, my name is Alison, and I am proud to be the manager of Burnworthy House.
My passion for care services started from an early age, as I was introduced to this career path by my late mother who worked in a residential care home all her working life and installed the benchmark I aim to work to – “would I accept this for my family?”.
I started my own career path in care in 1996 as a domiciliary care worker, and for the last 26 years I have worked various roles covering the many different aspect of care. These have included being a care coordinator, trainer, risk assessor, quality supervisor, deputy, and interim manager.
I hold an NVQ level 3 in health and social care, NVQ Level 5 in leadership for health and social care and several other qualifications including a trainer the trainer in moving and handling.
When not working I enjoy reading, going to aqua aerobics, spending time with my family including my dog (Max) and eating cake.
I look forward to meeting you and working together to make new moments and memories with you and your loved ones.
