Burnworthy House

My mother-in-law is a resident. The care she receives is second to none. The staff go above and beyond. I would recommend Burnworthy to anyone looking for a care home. Thank you to all the staff.

My grandmother has only been here a short while, but we can see an improvement in her mood and care already. We were shown her room and any questions we had were answered by the lovely staff. Moving was easy and the staff made her feel safe and cared for, as she's very anxious from dementia. There's plentiful activities every day, which my grandma loves and the staff print the schedule for every resident's room. Food is never complained about and the staff are always working hard. In fact, they are always around and sometimes you don't even have to ask for something! They're so friendly, helpful and wanting to help. Visiting is simple. Safety and happiness come first and the rooms are perfect.

Before my lady moved into this home I supported her twice weekly in her own home, since moving in 2 years ago I have taken her out for coffee and cake regularly. Can honestly say the staff have made me feel welcome, informed me of new covid policies and kept me well informed on the health and mindset of my lady. She always appears as she did at home and the home presents as well kept, homely and the food appealing and varied. This experience has changed my preconceived ideas of how well she would have “fitted in” she has made it her home and that’s been down to the care, support and kindness of the whole team. Just a huge thank you for all the hard work which I know my lady will have needed and you have all wonderfully given.

Always plenty going on. My nan does have a small room but always clean. The staff are always polite and friendly.

My nan has recently moved into Burnworthy. She was reluctant to give up her home but everyone has been so welcoming and kind. She instantly feels at home. As a family, when we visit, we are also made to feel very welcome. The staff genuinely seem to care and go that extra mile.

My mum is being well looked after by all the staff, who are always friendly and very caring. On walking into the home, you feel like it is a home and not a hospital, as other care homes can feel like. It is bright and cheerful and I am so pleased my mum is there.

Everyone is so helpful, friendly, nothing is ever too much trouble. My mum is so well looked after. So grateful we got her here, home from home. Came up when she got there. Always clean and tidy, Mum is, although I know she says she wants to go home, that's where she was with her parents. Just like to say thanks, everyone!

There is a friendly, caring atmosphere in the home. When the home was closed due to covid, it was great that residents could still see their families in the pod. I know from personal experience, not all care homes made this possible. The garden and front of the home look colourful thanks to the efforts of the staff. The front paved area is ideal for sitting on to catch the morning sun and people watch.

In the majority of carers when I've visited or phoned they have been courteous, friendly and efficient. I feel secure in the knowledge that mum is being well treated and cared for.

I have been delighted with the care and consideration my nana has received at Burnworthy House. I always appreciate how willing the staff ate to spend time with the residents and not rush off to the next job. It is an encouraging environment to be in with lots of energy and genuinely caring staff.

It provides great comfort to the family knowing that nana is being so well cared for. The accommodation at Burnsworthy House with the outlook and gardens provides a lovely environment. Nana always compliments the food and how nice the staff are. I have always found them personally to be polite, caring, compassionate and fun, this is a real positive as nana loves to laugh. I would recommend it to another family looking for similar accommodation for their loved one.

Apart from the comfort of knowing my mum is well looked after in a clean, friendly and professional home. I like the way all staff have the time to spend a few moments chatting with my mum. That personal, caring touch with the time to do it is greatly valued.
