Grovelands is a modern and purpose-built care home, offering a versatile lifestyle and professional care.

The dedicated dementia suite supports independence, with staff who are expertly trained in supporting adults who live with dementia. Daily activities and regular outings are organised by dedicated activities coordinators.

Ongoing training and investment keeps standards high. Other facilities include a hair salon and shop. Meals are prepared daily by the on-site kitchen team, offering a nutritious and varied diet.

We cannot speak highly enough of Grovelands, the staff are caring, conscientious and professional. They know the residents really well, are skilled in anticipating their needs and treat them with dignity. They are helpful and respectful of family members and go out of their way to support. The family
will never forget the wonderful party that they gave for Mum's 100th birthday. Finally, the management is outstanding, like the home.

I enjoy the activities especially when I go out and about.


All the staff are kind and helpful and I have a good relationship with them.


Grovelands is a lovely place to live, it is comfortable and has a beautiful garden to sit out in the summer.

Finding a care home for my mother-in-law was a very daunting prospect for my husband and I. We viewed a number of care homes that horrified us. From the start, the feeling at Grovelands was so comforting and home-like.
The management and staff at Grovelands could not have been more supportive and
helpful. My mother-in-law has dementia and has settled in extremely well. The communication between the home and ourselves is very good. They call us if anything at all happens or my mother-in-law is unwell and regularly update us on Dr's Visits etc. The food is excellent and my mother-in-law enjoys the regular tea trolley with biscuits! We take great comfort knowing she is so well cared for and all her needs are being neat. Highly recommend Grovelands.

My mother has been here for nearly a year and the staff care very well for her. They have gone to great pains to get to know her and what activities she likes and doesn't like. They keep the family very well informed of medical and other issues. The home is just that - a home where we can pop in anytime
we like. A real find.

Each time I have visited my uncle I have found the staff very caring and informative. The home is kept beautifully clean. The food served looks delicious and seems varied. Trips out and activities within the home seem to meet the needs of the residents all of whom seem happy and well looked after. It
is good to see such a well run and happy home which has high standards and excellent care. I am very happy to recommend the home facilities and staff.

My mother has settled in well and made friends with both the residents and the staff very easily which is very comforting. She gets out and about regularly and enjoys the many activities in the home to occupy her.


The staff are all very helpful and look after all her needs despite my mother being

very independent.


All the above makes it easier to accept my mother is in a home and brings peace of mind that she is well looked after. Thank you.

My father attended Grovelands for daycare twice a week throughout 2017. He is living with vascular dementia and needed the activities and social contact this care home could offer. The staff are wonderful, kind, patient and unfailingly friendly. The variety of activities is imaginative, ranging from
singing to cookery. Dad usually took part in them all with gentle encouragement sometimes. Thank you Grovelands staff for your wonderful care of my dad.

Mum loves going to Grovelands for daycare. She has told me"they are like my family". She enjoys all the varied activities and has been taken on several wonderful day trips which have been fantastic. The staff are very welcoming and caring and have helped with medication when needed. Nothing has been
too much trouble and I can relax when I know mum is there.

I have nothing but praise for Grovelands. The care given to my wife is second to none. The staff are brilliant and offer all kinds of therapeutic activities and trips out. The care workers go that extra mile with their patience and caring. All residents get fantastic food with a daily choice of menu.
My wife is happy and contented at Grovelands. I could not wish for more.

I enjoyed my two weeks at Grovelands where I went while my son and daughter in law were on holiday.


The staff were all very friendly and helpful and I only had to ask for anything I needed and it was provided. I love my garden at home and would have liked a room looking onto a garden and wish I had

asked to have a walk sometimes.


Grovelands has a happy atmosphere and I enjoyed having a bath which I no longer have at home as I changed it to a shower.


I am looking forward to my next holiday at Grovelands.

My father in law has been a resident for two years and is very happy and content with the care he receives. The facilities are good and surroundings clean and comfortable. I have found over that time that the majority of staff treat their job as a vocation, and go the extra mile to make sure father
is well looked after. Now in his ninety third year and having been in a managerial post for most of his working life, he can be very demanding in his nature, and fussy about his diet. The staff are very patient and cope with his demands very well. He remains in his room for the majority of his day and will not eat in the dining room with the other residents. Consequently, when his food arrives it is sometimes quite cold. He loves the garden and enjoys the occasional stroll, and wishes more attention could be paid to its upkeep. These are only a few small niggles in what is generally a very well run home.

When you visit Grovelands the surroundings are well maintained and comfortable. The rooms are large (with en-suite) allowing residents to bring their own furniture to personalise their space. All the food is to a high and well-balanced standard. The overall environment is well above average but the
staff take the home to the extraordinary level of care. Based on solid professionalism they engage with each and everyone and make every effort to make this home a truly caring place. It is this alone that makes this particular Residential Care home excellent.

Our mother stayed twice as respite care before she became a full-time resident and this allowed mum to get to know home and staff (and vice versa) which has been very beneficial, management, staff and carers are professional, very approachable, cheery and very welcoming to mum and visitors. We recently
had a care review, and care plan recommended mum needed a "key" carer who has now been appointed and mum is benefitting from this extra personal care since her care requirements have changed since she first arrived at Grovelands.
Mum has made some good friends and enjoys a good laugh with both staff and residents.

I have worked at Grovelands since 2007 and feel a strong sense of pride in the outstanding reputation of the home and the dedicated staff team who are committed to caring for our residents. It is greatly important to me to support people to make our home their home, with photos and furnishings to truly personalise their environment. It is also important to support and encourage residents to maintain their interests and be introduced to new adventures and make new friends!


When residents choose to live at Grovelands I feel it is the beginning of a new chapter and journey in their lives, and my aim is to make this the happiest time possible and ensure that meaningful regular contact with their family and old friends is a priority.
I believe strongly in paying attention to detail and empowering staff to provide the best standard of residential and PETALS dementia care with compassion and dignity.


Visitors always comment on our incredibly friendly staff, the warm welcome they receive and the homely atmosphere. I am proud that residents and their families speak so highly of Grovelands and recommend us to their friends. I welcome feedback to enable changes and continual improvements to be made with the service.
