We were always very welcomed and looked after too. Many, many thanks from all the family for looking after Mum during her stay it is much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Wyndham House
My relative was in Wyndham House for approximately 11 months as a resident and prior to that for regular respite. I can not fault the care that he received. He was treated with kindness and dignity at all times. He loved the garden and the activities, and also loved the food. Thank you.
Kind regards,
Wyndham House
The care mum received in the 15 months she was a resident at Wyndham was excellent. All the staff were professional and caring. They treated mum with respect and dignity. She loved the activities and interacted with the staff. She really felt like she was at home, she had not been as happy in a long time. Her partner died in the home in 2024, and they all helped her through her grief. We cannot thank everyone in the home enough for all their care and love. We would definitely recommend Wyndham House.
Kind regards,
Wyndham House
My brother had a fear of moving into a care home because of his trust issues, but his dementia had reached a level preventing him from remaining in his flat in London despite having regular carers. In December he moved into Wyndham House and the staff have transformed his life with their care. He is joining in the arts and music activities, enjoying their meals and feels like he's in heaven. The staff have shown exceptional consideration in caring for him and we the family are always made welcome when visiting him. We thank the staff for their exception efforts in caring for my brother.
Dear Camilla, thank you for taking the time to share your 5-star feedback for Wyndham House. We understand that making the transition into care can be emotionally challenging for everyone involved, and are pleased that we were able to support your brother to feel more comfortable during this time....
The food is really good and I've eaten there many times myself . To have dinner with my mum and dad. Is such a great thing to do with them.
I love the way the place looks. It's so clean everything is organised practical and functional. It's a great weight of my mind that I know both my parents are being looked after very well . That they are in a safe environment. The last thing I'd like to add is there is always some form of entertainment and always activities going on. Help is always at hand to help the residence with anything that they need.
Best regards,
Wyndham House
A lovely welcoming home with the most amazing staff. There's always something going on for the residents. Every ones happy there. Mum is receiving the best care and we know she is being well looked after. As she told us 'you can't look after me as well as they do!' The food is excellent and a good choice. Visitors are made so welcome - home from home.
Best regards,
Wyndham House
As ever a pleasant visit to Wyndham House. I was greeted at the door with a smile and asked how I was today. Dad was happy in his room it was a sunny day and we went for a pub lunch. The staff were happy to cancel his lunch with WH. Both my parents came to WH in the summer of 2022. Mum died in 2024. I am a regular visitor. The care received has been excellent not only to my parents, but to me when mum died. All the staff have been amazing and I have peace of mind and don't have to worry. This is priceless.
Kind regards,
Wyndham House
Brilliant staff kept us informed, kept in touch throughout. Dealt with any issues promptly and professionally. Really great team did absolutely everything they could to make us all feel welcome and to ultimately find an appropriate place for mum.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful feedback for the team at Wyndham House in Minehead. We are delighted that you rate every aspect of your experience as 5 stars! Best regards, Wyndham House
I visited the residential home at the beginning of the month- it was my first time and pleasure. I've never seen such a beautiful and well organised place! The members of staff were so polite, kind and devoted to the residents, all team was hard working and united in delivering great service, management was fully engaged and supportive, the house is so clean, the activities that day were making everyone happy. We've had live music on (played by one of managers and local musicians), pizza making, bikers show which put excitement on resident's faces, there were tears of joy, lots of laughter..I loved the beautiful garden - it was so well kept, and I was impressed how warm and inviting are the residential rooms. I would be happy to stay there, but I still have to many years to go ! Very professional and well organised 5 star residential home, highly recommended for everyone who wish to stay in house that is being in high standards. Thank you for an amazing experience Daria & Wyndham House

Mum and dad both loved their time at Wyndham House, but as their conditions worsened, and my dad had a fall breaking his hip meaning he needed additional care that Wyndham were not able to cater for. They have moved to another nursing home. I chose this as it is in the same group under Somerset Care. So are they seem happy in their new home. Thank you Wyndham for making the transition as easy as it could be.
Best regards,

The residents I spoke to were really enthusiastic about the activities that had been organised, especially the motorbike cavalcade where about a dozen local bikers had brought their bikes along to display. Even though it rained everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
Best regards,

Very friendly and caring staff. Both my parents are in Wyndam House. They are in a friendly and caring place very homely atmosphere, and we'll be looked after. They were able to bring their reclining chairs from home, which made them feel at home. I would not want them anywhere else.
Best regards,
Wyndham House
What a wonderful and caring home Wyndham House is. I and my uncle have been so impressed with the whole experience since the first meeting with the management team at the assessment stage. The care and thought that went into the preparation of his room and the subsequent welcome was very reassuring and very much appreciated by my uncle and the rest of the family. I have had lots of experience visiting care homes and I can say without doubt that Wyndham House and the caring staff is the very best. My uncle is there for a 2 weeks Respite Break but after only a couple of days there he has told me he would like to stay full time 10/10. Thank you.
What amazing feedback to receive! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review for your Uncle's respite stay at Wyndham House. It is our pleasure to care for him, and we are delighted that both he, and his family, have been pleased with his experience. We always strive to ensure Wyndham...
In the two weeks my sister was in the care of Wyndham House, I could see the change in her, uplifted, happy and like a new woman under the circumstances, the staff were amazing, the food was fabulous! Always something to do also. Highly recommend.
I personally would like to thank all of you for making my sisters two week stay amazing! My sister is going through a really tough time at the moment, with her husband terminally ill with cancer, and the on set of dementia.
She sometimes finds it hard to find the right words to communicate with her strokes she has had in the past, it takes patience and care to listen to her, all the staff at Wyndham House have made her feel heard, listened to, cared for and so welcome.
So much so that is is calling Wyndham House her second home, and wishes to return one day. The food is outstanding! My sister keeps telling me how lovely the cakes are and about all the fabulously delicious meals that she's had.
The activities have been a great icebreaker, as when my sister arrived she was very nervous and anxious being in a new place, but now she has really come out of her shell, gaining confidence from embracing new activities to going out on her electric scooter on her own for the first time! (she is so very proud of this accomplishment, as are we!)
The care has been exemplary!
From cozy chats one to one to having her hair done (which I have to say, is the best hair do my sister has had).
My sister has made some lovely friends too with people that are staying in the care home, this too has helped boosted her spirits.
I've watched my sister arrive ay Wyndham House two weeks ago, nervous, sad, lost, absolutely exhausted and worrying about her husband and her future.
She is leaving, confident, happy, restored and like a new woman.
Wyndham House team have given my sister this up lift which I am eternally grateful to you all.
I just want to thank everyone and it is everyone that has made this possible, cleaners, caregivers, hairdressers, kitchen staff, activities staff and management, you all are a piece of the puzzle that has made this possible. I value you all as the fabulous team that you are.
You have rebuilt my sister in two weeks respite care, WOW that's outstanding! Thank you all so much.
On behalf of the whole Wyndham House team, thank you so much for your heartfelt and truly moving review. We are so glad to have been able to offer your sister the care, support and rest that she needed during her respite stay with us, and will gladly welcome her back with open arms should she wish...
My Mum was at Wyndham House for two years and during that time she was well cared for every day until she passed away. The staff are some of the kindest people I have ever met, from the manager through to everyone who worked there. I was always kept informed about Mum's health and wellbeing, with a call to me if anything changed. She was encouraged to get up in the morning, take part in activities and chat to other residents, but never forced to. If she chose to get up late, then she could. Her room was small, she only went there to sleep though so it wasn't a problem. The food is varied and cooked extremely well, lots of treats as well as a balanced diet. Outside, the garden area is large and well maintained, Mum enjoyed sitting there on sunny days. As her time neared its end all the staff were so kind and caring, not only to Mum, but to my husband and I as well. If I could give them six stars I would.
Thank you for sharing such heartfelt feedback. It was an honour to care for your mum during her time at Wyndham House. We're so pleased to hear that she felt comfortable, supported, and able to enjoy activities and our garden. Your kind words about our team mean so much, and we're glad we could...
My husband and I visited the home today and were very impressed by the care given to our friend. She was well dressed and groomed, very happy. She told us that the yellow coats provided excellent activities. Her room was clean and comfortable and the food excellent. She was well cared for by the nursing staff.
Thank you for sharing your experience of visiting your friend at Wyndham House in Minehead. We are so pleased that you were impressed with the care and environment on offer, and that your friend is happy to call Wyndham House her home. Best regards,Wyndham House
My wife has been attending Wyndham House for one day a week for a couple of years now. I am totally confident she receives the best of care. She is totally reliant on her carers for everything. She is always happy when I fetch her and has enjoyed the range of enrichment activities put on her the residents. She has developed trust in the staff who work hard to ensure both her physical and emotional needs and well catered for. I thank the staff for adding to her social interactions and making her life more positive.
Thank you so much for leaving such a positive review for the day care your wife enjoys at Wyndham House. We are so pleased to hear that this is both enriching and enjoyable for her, and are pleased to support her with the care and interaction she needs to live a fulfilling life.
The staff were all kind, thoughtful and nothing too much trouble.
As one of the younger 'inmates' I found end-of-day meals somewhat limiting but appreciate it suits most of the clients.
Thank you for leaving a review for your respite stay at Wyndham House. We are glad that your stay with us has assisted you in being able to safely return home from hospital, with the right support in place. We wish you all the best for the future. Best regards,Somerset Care
All staff were attentive to our needs. A credit to themselves and residents. Well done.
All the staff address you by name. They are very knowledgeable, caring and reassuring. The food is good and of high quality. The cakes were excellent! The rooms are okay, loos nearby. TVs are available. There are three lounges, one with TV.
