I live at Bemerton Lodge and have done for some time. I enjoy my time here. The staff deal with some very difficult situations and do so much with so much patience and kindness. They still retain so bright and cheerful no matter what. It is a difficult job, there have been many bad reports on the TV. I am so lucky to have been place here, I would wish for nowhere else. The whole team from the top down deserve so much praise.

Rebecca joined the trust in November 2019 and has worked in the care sector for over 20 years. Rebecca decided to work in care at school when she helped play schemes for children with learning disabilities. She really enjoyed that experience and after college started working full time with adults. Rebecca has worked in various organisations in numerous roles working her way up to management. Rebecca also worked for a long time at a Learning and Development manager teaching staff how to safely work with people in care.
In Rebecca’s spare time she runs dog training classes and likes to spend time with her own dogs and her family.

Laurie joined OSCJT at the beginning of 2021 after 20 years in the hospitality industry. Having been front of house in hotels and dealing with lots of people at events, she’s settled in very well to life at Bemerton Lodge. Laurie is probably the first person you’ll speak to at Bemerton Lodge, and interacting with the residents and their families is her favourite part of the job. Out of work, you’ll find Laurie spending time with her friends and family, walking in the New Forest, or reading a good book.
