Coombe End Court is located on the outskirts of Marlborough, a historic market town with plenty of shops, offering residential, dementia and respite care services.

The home underwent a major refurbishment in 2016 and now boasts a separate dementia care household, incorporating elements of best practice dementia design to support its residents living with dementia.

As part of the refurbishment, a new café, cinema and shop were added to bring the heart of the home to life, with lounges and the hair salon also being updated for resident comfort and relaxation.

Spacious bedrooms with en-suite facilities look out onto landscaped gardens, and the team of staff are on hand at all times to ensure every resident continues to be as independent as they can be.

There is a varied programme of events, activities and outings where residents can continue to pursue their hobbies and interests and also try some new things out. Daily social activities include:

Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
services at the time you request them.
They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
be paid for by yourself.

My mother has recently moved to Coombe End Court Care Home and living in Australia has meant I've been unable to see Mum for three and a half years or see her new home due to Covid. I state emphatically that I will be returning to Australia feeling very comforted and reassured by the level of care,
support and kindness Mum is receiving. She is in the right place.

My mother is extremely well cared for by friendly and caring staff. I feel the staff go beyond their duties to help and to make Mum's life here as most enjoyable as it can be. Actually, my husband has been here for seven years but I'm writing this in August 2022. Very pleased with everything generally and staff are good with my husband who needs a lot of care. Front of house are always super when I arrive. He doesn't do any activities so cannot comment.

My mother has just turned 100 years old and has lived at Coombe End Court Care Home for five years. The staff are very caring and look after her well - she is very happy. The staff are very accommodating and make me feel very welcome whenever I visit - my mother has recently enjoyed an activity where
an ex-racehorse visited the residents and I was able to enjoy the experience with her which we both loved.

A home from home for all the residents! Being able to pop into the in house shop, to having a pamper in the hair salon and enjoying a cup of tea and piece of cake in the cafe! All-day to day needs and wants are taken care of by the fantastic teams that keep the home running 24-hours and day 7-days a
week. The care team, work tirelessly ensuring the needs of the residents are met, this is helped by the outstanding work done by the kitchen team, housekeeping team and day centre/activities team. Management is very approachable and holds a friendly open-door policy ensuring any queries or concerns are answered and dealt with accordingly. Overall, a beautiful home with happy residents and staff.

My father is very well looked after. He is now safe at Coombe End Court after living alone. The staff have helped him settle in well, allowing him to be independent, but helping when needed. The facilities are second to none and there is always something to do.
I am always informed by the staff of

Mum has Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia. She has needed 24hr care for around 18 months now, her home being Coombe End Court since August 2018.
During this time, her care needs have rapidly increased and staff have embraced the new plans for her with professionalism and great kindness.
Mum, despite
struggling with every daily task always appears cared for. The team go beyond the pale to ensure the residents' individualised needs are met and incredibly make the home feel "like home".
Activities Coordinators help enhance the overall happiness and wellbeing for residents, always trying to involve everyone.
The management team have always been extremely open and helpful if we have had any questions or concerns at any time. I am very very happy and extremely grateful for all the care and commitment the staff in every department have shown in this particularly challenging period of time dealing with the Coronavirus lockdown.
We miss Mum horribly but have absolute confidence that she is happy.

Kelly Edwards

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2014

Kelly had eight years of experience in Health and Social Care when she joined the Trust and Coombe End Court in early 2014, and she has achieved her Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care. Kelly’s focus in her role as Home Manager is to ensure that all residents and staff are happy, and she believes the two go hand in hand.


Out of work, Kelly is the captain of her local netball team, and she also runs.

Vanessa

Vanessa Coles

Job Title: Care Leader Joined: 2013

Vanessa has always worked in healthcare, with some years with the ambulance service before joining the Trust and Coombe End Court. She started as a carer and soon found she was learning more skills and was promoted.


Vanessa loves how supportive the team at Coombe End Court is, getting to know the residents and listening to all their fascinating life stories. Getting to know the residents’ families is also very important to Vanessa so that they feel able to come to her if ever they need anything.
