Dad moved into Watersmead in January of this year, he was previously resident at another home and we decided to move him because the home just did not have any atmosphere. So we visited Watersmead and found that the atmosphere was very vibrant and looked like a busy place with lots going on.

Dad is much happier here as the atmosphere is so much better and the staff are always around to assist with all of their needs.

Thank you for your feedback on Watersmead. We're so pleased you like the atmosphere here, and that your dad is happy with us. Please don't hesitate to ask if there is anything else we can do to support him.

My Stepdad loves all the fun things to do. The activities coordinators are so good at matching activities to the residents. A visit from a local mobile farm was a favourite as it brought back happy memories of bottle-feeding the lambs in my stepdad's younger days on the farm.

The day-to-day care is top notch and communication is very good. Any questions are answered promptly. All staff members are so friendly and are in tune with the residents and their families. Although they are always busy they always seem to have time for a quick chat or cuddle. They seem to get the balance right in being friendly but also are firm when needed but I've never seen aggression or anger shown, just compassion.

Mum has been at Watersmead for some 2 1/2 years now and has been cared for exceptionally well. Whilst she no longer participates as actively as she once did in the activities provided in the home I know she is otherwise engaged as much as is possible by the staff. She always tells me that she is well looked after and I get the impression that this is indeed the case. I certainly commend the home and its staff in their quest to provide support with dignity for its residents.

Mum's care is very good, the staff all treat Mum with respect and dignity. Mum is always taken care of and they try and offer Mum the right care and support for her needs. Mum's room does not have a en-suite which would make it much nicer for Mum as she likes her privacy.

The staff at Watersmead are excellent, friendly and caring. They work tirelessly, the home is clean, well furnished and its layout is perfect for the elderly residents, enabling them to be able to manoeuvre around the home safely.

My grandmother has been in their care for two years and the team has provided her with constant stimulation, support and love. And as a family, we are so happy and grateful for their continued care.

Although my husband doesn't want to be in there, he has been well looked after despite him being less than nice to the staff who have tried to help him. He has been having to move as I have moved out of the area. He has vascular dementia and anxiety and depression so is never going to be the life and soul of the place. The lack of energy suite facilities is one huge drawback.

I think the staff do a wonderful job under difficult circumstances. I think there should be more control over residents wandering around at night and bothering my mother in her room. More separation is needed between those who are of sound mind and those who are unfortunately not.

Visited my mum on the off chance she may have been awake, but needed to drop off nighties the care assistant had requested she needed. I was welcomed by music coming from the dining room - a gentleman playing the accordion and singing. Very entertaining for the residents and visitors alike. A shame my mum was in her room as she used to love music, but these days she likes to spend a great deal of time in her room resting but also in a place where she is safe and happy.

Lovely care home. Very helpful and friendly staff always giving my loved one lots of attention and care they are all a pleasure to say hello to when we visit. Nice clean facilities, lots of activities from visiting animals donkey and an owl, to art therapy, soap making, fish and chip nights. Garden patio area was recently refurbished and will be nice for residents in the springtime. Very glad that my relative ended up in this care home we couldn't have asked for better.

What can I say, my mum moved in last month and she has regained much of the mum I thought I had lost forever. I visit every other day and the staff are just so good and attentive to Mum's needs giving a score would seem silly. The care home is spotless and nothing is too much trouble, Mum has come back out of her shell and now has the quality of life she deserves. I can't thank the staff at Watersmead enough for making what was a big change so good. I can now sleep at night knowing Mum is in safe caring hands.

My grandmother has been at Watersmead since May 2023. She was extremely anxious about moving into a care home at the age of 95 and we were concerned about her settling in. The staff at Watersmead have made her feel so welcome and she is so very happy to be there. She has excelled in her mental and physical health since being there. She has been cared for with the utmost respect and dignity. The staff have been excellent with communication with myself too. Can not speak highly enough of Watersmead.

Very pleased with the level of care provided by all the staff and management. Always found the caring team to be friendly and attentive to the resident's needs. I am kept regularly informed should there be any incidents concerning my mother's state of health, I have every confidence in the team and cannot fault their diligence and the respectful way they talk to the residents. I have always found the communal areas and my mother's bedroom to be clean and well-maintained. The team are a credit to Watersmead.
