My mother moved in May 2018 and she is a very hard lady to please, but she is very happy there. The staff are very good with her and she gets a good quality of care.
Hello Patricia, I am extremely pleased with your mothers experience of Manor House. This review is appreciated by care staff and management. Best Regards.
Staff are extremely attentive to all residents and the activities are brilliant. I am more than happy with the care that my grandmother receives and enjoy seeing her really happy and comfortable.
Hi Nicole,
Thanks for the super review!
Best.
Mom is well cared for and receives exceptional treatment from all the staff. She can be difficult but staff recognise her moods and often know when she's agitated or tired. She is encouraged to join in activities and I know she loves a sing-song.
Dear Jacqueline,
Your mum is a pleasure to look after.
Thanks.
Mum is a new resident but the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. For my part, the manager, deputy and administrator have been so helpful, reassuring and patient.
It is a lovely building - clean and welcoming.
Hi Barbara,
Thank you for your kind review.
Best
I am very pleased with Manor house. The staff can't do enough for Mom and also make relatives feel comfortable when visiting. I could not single out one member of staff as they are all doing such a grand job. Overall I have not got any complaints and would recommend you highly to others.
Thank you for your very kind words - our staff will be pleased to hear that all of their hard work is appreciated and that Mom is well cared for.
Caring environment, pleasant grounds.
Hi Bill, thank you for your pleasant review. Best.
My mother has been a resident for 18 months and in that time has been extremely happy. She is very well cared for and treated with the utmost dignity. I would definitely recommend the home as the treatment of the residents is exceptional.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this excellent review.
Kind regards.
The staff are all very polite and helpful and do whatever they can to assist, as they are very busy looking after residents. The resident seem to be well looked after. The standard of food is very good and a good variety. The standard of cleanliness is also very good.
Dear Reviewer,
Thank you for your review. The staff have worked extremely hard to improve the quality of care.
Staff work very hard, however, I feel every visit there isn't enough staff to cater for every resident's needs.
Hi Ralma,
Thank you for your review. I will raise your staffing comment at the next manager's meeting.
As a person who believes in humanity, I am overjoyed with the kindness, love and patience I observe given to residents. I would like to point out some exceptional circumstances when residents are treated so wonderfully. I look forward to my weekly visit. Great people, lovely place.
Dear Dorcas,
Thank you for your kind review. The team at Manor appreciate your comments.
Best.
First class! Care home staff are very understanding, caring and helpful.
Hi Hilary,
We are very proud of our 'Outstanding' rated home at Manor House. We are by no means resting on our laurels, we will continue to exceed the high expectations set by our residents and their families.
As her only visitor, I do not make frequent visits but in my now being less able to visit I am content to know my sister is well cared for, is very happy in the home and is popular and I know I can rely on the home to contact me if necessary.
The staff at Manor House are polite, respectful and above all caring towards all the residents.
I would highly recommend this care home.
A supportive team that provides the highest standard of care with friendliness, kindness and endless smiles. They offer an array of stimulating and interesting activities for their residents, who I have only ever seen being treated with dignity and respect. After the initial sadness and realisation of my nan needing to go into residential care. I couldn't have asked for her to be placed anywhere better. She is happy and calls this place home.
Nothing is too much trouble.
More activities required but this is being addressed.
Very happy to recommend Manor House.
Leadership in the manager appears strong.
Any issues we have the management team listen and address them.
Keep up the good work!
Have been to Manor House on numerous occasions to see some of the residents who used to live in the same sheltered accommodation. They all seem very happy with the care there receiving at Manor House. They are enjoying the Summer menu and also enjoying the recent entertainment, they had Gaynor in last week and have had a chippy supper this week.
My aunt has recently been in hospital following a fall, then needing 24 hour care, Manor House was highly recommended by an ex member of staff who retired. We followed up the recommendation finding Manor house to be suitable for my aunts needs. We have found the settling in period a stress-free and comforting experience. We look forward to my aunt enjoying many years here. Thank you to all the staff at Manor House.
I can't fault staff especially carers, nothing is too much trouble for them and they are always kind, helpful and caring. The only issue the family has is the one resident who has a problem with personal hygiene. This matter has been brought to the managers attention but unfortunately has not been resolved. He advises us that they are unable to force the resident to wash, have a bath or change their clothes.
My mother has been in Manor House for 5 and a half years and I have no complaints. The staff are excellent and always friendly. They are committed to ensuring my mothers welfare, and as she has recently deteriorated, they have respect and patience to help her. The facilities are excellent and my mother has always enjoyed the food.

Sarah has been part of the Manor House family since 2001, when she joined as a Care Assistant. Over the years, she has progressed through a number of roles, including Senior Carer, Administrator and Deputy Manager, before becoming Home Manager.
Her career in care began during a placement at a nursing home while studying for a BTEC National Diploma at Sutton College. She discovered a passion for supporting older people and has remained in the sector ever since. Sarah holds Health & Social Care qualifications at Levels 2, 3 and 5.
What Sarah enjoys most about her role is getting to know residents and their families, sharing in their stories and supporting them through life's important moments. She believes compassion, dignity and kindness are at the heart of great care.
Outside of work, Sarah loves spending time with her family and grandchildren, reading novels by Lee Child and enjoying city breaks. After more than 20 years at Manor House, she remains passionate about creating a warm, supportive environment where residents feel truly at home.
