On my arrival at Clarendon House, I was greeted by a lady who was very polite and friendly. I was shown to my dad's room. I had never been in my dad's room before and my first impressions were that it was bigger than I was expecting. It was being cleaned by members of staff, which is always a good sign. Overall the room was a nice size and a clean space with a lovely view. Dad, in himself, seemed very comfortable and relaxed. His appearance was very clean and tidy.

I wold like to start by saying how truly grateful I am to the staff at Clarendon House. My grandma has been a resident here for the best part of 15 years and in that time the love and care she has been given is incredible. No matter what I request, if this is last minute visits or someone to talk to the staff at Clarendon always go above and beyond. I feel so lucky to have my grandma in such an amazing place and with a very very special team. Thank you.

My grandmother has been a resident for 2 years at Clarendon House and has received the best personal care I could hope for. The staff are very aware of her as an individual and are able to anticipate her needs. The standard of cleanliness is second to none and my nan's personal hygiene is immaculate. The staff are friendly when we visit and Nan's able to associate with other residents which is important to us as her family.
Thank you for your review and leaving such positive feedback for Clarendon House. We will share this review with our team.
As a daughter, the hardest decision I had to make was to accept my mum's situation and move her into a caring facility. From the moment I stepped into Claredon House, I was greeted with compassion and understanding. I knew this was going to be my mum's new home. I have nothing but respect for such a genuine team, their care is second to none. On behalf of me and my family, I would like to thank you all for your hard work, love and support you give my mum on a daily basis. I am forever grateful.
Thank you for your review and your kind words. It is a pleasure caring for your mother, we will share this review with our staffing team.
Mum was admitted into Clarendon House in February 2023. Unfortunately, she had progressed into the latter stages of dementia, and even with a care package in place at home we could no longer administer the appropriate care that she needed. After viewing a couple more care homes which really weren’t suitable, Clarendon were able to offer mum a place and we are so pleased that they did. A smaller home with a more personal feel where residents are treated like family. All of the staff work incredibly hard to deliver an excellent level of care whilst keeping the resident's dignity. They were all genuinely kind and compassionate. Mum unfortunately passed away in July 2023. We know that during her last few months she spent her days being given the best possible care in a lovely, caring environment. The family would like to give a very big thank you to the director, the manager and all involved in Mum's care. We would highly recommend Clarendon House.
Hi Inger, thank you for such positive feedback and recognition of the staffing team. It was a pleasure caring for your mother-in-law and she is dearly missed by all.
Obviously, that covered the Covid pandemic, and although it was a difficult time for everyone who had loved ones in care homes, the staff did everything they could to mitigate the situation by helping with window visits etc.
When Dad entered the home he was very agitated angry and confused because of his illness. Since entering the home, even taking into account the fact that the illness has progressed, he is happy relaxed and content. This is a result of all the hard work the staff do. He feels ‘at home’.
Clarendon House is a much smaller home than a lot of the other homes we considered, and I think that is what makes it so perfect for Dad, and what contributes to its homely feel.
I would be happy to recommend this home to someone seeking a place for a family member or loved one.
Thank you for your review and it is great to read your father-in-law "feels at home" at Clarendon House. It is reassuring to read you would be happy to recommend Clarendon House to prospective care seekers. We will share your review with our team and thank you for your review once again.
They also do lots of different things within the community involving the residents.
The manager and the director are very accommodating when I bombard them with questions or queries over Mum's care and always respond in a timely manner. Other staff are often phoning me to update me on Mum's health and well-being.
Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend Clarendon House to anyone who has a relative in need of care.
Thank you for your positive review and recommending Clarendon House to prospective care seekers. We will share your review with our team who will be delighted to read your feedback. Thank you once again.
I would like to thank Clarendon, the staff and all those involved, who obviously make the time in my dad's life a happy one.

My uncle has stayed at this home for around 9 months now and the care he has received has been phenomenal. He's been looked after while he's been ill and the staff have made sure he had everything he needs. My uncle enjoys the entertainment they provide. We get regular updates from the home regarding his activities and his health. The home is clean and tidy and I would recommend it to anyone who needs to find a home for a loved one.
Thank you for your review and for leaving us such positive feedback. We are pleased to read the care your uncle receives is phenomenal and for recommending Clarendon House to prospective care seekers. We will share your review with our team.
My mother has been at Clarendon House Care Home for one year this month as she has Alzheimer's and vascular dementia. The staff are the most caring and patient people and look after Mum with empathy and sensitivity. The provision of simple things that Mum has always liked, such as occasional music and dance sessions which trigger happy memories for her and attention to her personal care which she finds difficult to understand but was always most important to her in the past. Mum also now eats proper meals which has improved her health and she definitely enjoys the cooking done by the staff there. I feel that I can leave my mum at Clarendon and she will be well cared for on a day-to-day basis and that I can visit her as her daughter and enjoy the time we have. It is as always, a pleasure to deal with the whole family at Clarendon House and I thank you for your ongoing care.

The attention to detail is superb.
After a not so good experience with a previous home, it has been a pleasure dealing with Clarendon House. Thanks.
Thank you for your review, it is highly appreciated. We are happy to read your experience has been better with Clarendon House than the previous care home your parents resided in. We will share your review with the staff team and thank you once again.
She had one-to-one care and is now walking with a frame. She eats meals which in her previous home she refused, she has a shower and the staff involved with her I can't speak highly enough of. The staff and the care gives me peace of mind.
Thank you for such a positive review of Clarendon House. It is reassuring to read the staff and care being delivered gives you peace of mind, we will share this review with the staff team. Thank you once again.
