Thank you for your review, we have noted your comments regarding the aesthetics of Clarendon House and it needing re-decoration. Recently, my mum's health declined and as our family faced a difficult situation, we found that the staff and management could not have been more helpful and understanding. Each individual member of staff that we had contact with were considerate, kind and professional in the way they cared in such a personal way for Mum.
Thank you for your review and acknowledging the person-centred care given to your mother during her stay at Clarendon House, it was a pleasure caring for your mother and she is missed dearly by all.
Had a great visit today with my mum and sister. Mum was very happy eating her dinner with us. We were offered to have dinner with Mum as well, which was a very lovely offer. The staff were so helpful, and nothing seemed to be too much.
Thank you for such a positive review. We are pleased to hear the staff were helpful and accommodating when visiting your Mother. Your review is highly appreciated.
Been today, visited my mum. Nice to see mum well dressed with her teeth and glasses. Had a lovely visit to the home. Staff were very helpful and attentive to our needs and Mum is very well looked after here.
Thank you for leaving such a positive review for Clarendon House Care Home and recognising the excellent work carried out by our staff. Your review is highly appreciated.
Our dad was a resident at Clarendon House Care Home from September 2020 until he passed away there in June 2021. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, we were limited in visiting at times but the staff did their utmost to facilitate within the restrictions including window visits, many telephone calls and eventually seeing Dad within the home. From the moment Dad arrived the management and staff were very accommodating to his care needs and we always felt that Dad was very well looked after and cared for. Clarendon House always felt homely, comfortable and very welcoming. All members of staff throughout Dad’s stay treated him with great kindness, empathy and honest affection which was also extended to us as family. Despite the challenges of the pandemic the Clarendon House team always maintained positivity, respect and often went above and beyond. Ultimately an emotional and difficult time for the whole family was made easier by all at Clarendon House. Thank you to you all.
Thank you for such a positive review, it was a pleasure getting to know your father and caring for him at Clarendon House. Your positive review motivates us to keep on providing high-quality care to our residents and making their stay with us as enjoyable as possible.
Satisfied that my wife is cared for with dignity. The management and staff are pleasant and helpful.
Thank you for your feedback and review. Dignity and respect towards our residents are of priority enabling our Resident's to have a positive experience of care in addition to being a member of the Dignity in Care Network.
I feel like there is a very nice and safe vibe in here, friendly and safe and caring. Staff are attentive and attend to everyone's individual needs. The home is relaxed and homely. My mum has come on leaps and bounds since being here.
Thank you for your positive feedback. Our staff are our greatest asset in our home and we strive to ensure the best care is delivered for our residents.
Excellent care is given - very positive and happy staff. They spend time with my mother and make her feel happy and secure.
Thank you for your review; we are pleased to hear our staff make your mother feel happy and secure within Clarendon House. We have also noted your review of Activities within Clarendon House, and we will work towards improving in this area.
Seems settled and happy. Staff have done a good job in making her comfortable.
Thank you for your review and the feedback above. We have noted that "Activities" require attention in your opinion, and the home will work towards improving in this area.
My husband became a resident of Clarendon House in October 2020, during the pandemic. I have only recently been able to go in to see him and interact with the staff. All staff members have been very helpful and caring and my husband is happy and contented and well looked after.
Thank you for such positive feedback, our staff are our greatest asset and they put our residents at the centre of all they do. Thank you once again.
My dad, who suffers from Alzheimer's, was admitted to Clarendon House in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result, I have been unable to visit him inside. The staff did arrange for window visits using a telephone and this was very helpful for me and my dad. In addition, a member of staff calls me every day to let me know how my dad is doing and what his activities have been. It is clear that all of the staff are very caring and concerned that my dad is looked after as best as possible. Overall, my dad is well looked after and I feel he is in very good hands.
Thank you for such positive feedback. With the Covid-19 pandemic restricting visiting in care homes, communication is more important than ever, we are happy to hear you are satisfied with the care we provide to your father. Visiting restrictions are being eased as of next week under government guidelines, we will communicate to you further Clarendon House's arrangements.
Over 2 years of experience of Clarendon House care, I have only praise for the care the residents receive. I note the gentleness when giving medicines and the sympathetic and caring manner given to those in their care.
My mum had been a resident for several years now and is very well looked after at Clarendon House. The staff are all very caring and provide a high level of care. The home is comfortable and the food is freshly cooked every day. I would highly recommend Clarendon House if you were looking for a friendly home for your relative.
Hi, many thanks for your review and for recommending Clarendon House Care Home for prospective families looking for a care home for their next of kin.
My father has been a resident of Clarendon House for over 2 years. In that time he has received exemplary care. The staff are caring, very kind and polite. They are a complete credit to their profession. Not only has the care been excellent but since new management has taken the home over, significant improvements have been made to the facilities and there is a very professional but yet caring approach. Of particular mention is one gentleman, who is a very caring young man, who has been in regular contact with my mother and I and is a wonderful advert for someone in the caring profession. That by no means is any different from the other staff who are all caring, polite and diligent. I would have no hesitation in recommending Clarendon House.
Thank you for your your review of Clarendon House Care Home. Our staff are our greatest asset within the home and they make the place what it is! We appreciate your recommendation and it is such feedback which motivates us to do what we do, providing excellent quality care!
My dad has Alzheimer’s and has been a resident for a number of years. The staff I have come into contact with in recent times make me feel reassured that he is receiving excellent care. As his dementia progresses, any issues are dealt with sensitively and with my dad’s best interests at heart. Under the current ownership a real effort has been made to improve and modernise the appearance of the home, yet it still retains a homely feel. He is very settled and to be honest I can’t imagine my dad being anywhere else.
Hi Gary, many thanks for your positive review. Delivering excellent care along with maintaining a homely feel within Clarendon House are our utmost priority.
My family are very much indebted to the care and attention shown throughout our family member's stay in Clarendon House. The owners, senior staff and main staff showed great affection for him, all are ‘hands on’ and they constantly communicated with us. We are pleased that he spent his last days in their company.
Thank you very much for your review and such positive feedback. It is so important being 'hands on' in the setting we operate in to ensure every resident at Clarendon House Care Home gets the care they deserve! It was a pleasure caring for your brother-in-law and he is dearly missed by residents and staff alike.
Overall care in Clarendon House is first class. The staff are caring and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. They treat their charges with utmost respect. The home is clean and tidy. Food is well presented and residents have enough to eat.
Thank you for your review. We are happy to read such positive feedback from yourself especially your comment that overall care in Clarendon House is first class!
Subsequently, we moved him to Clarendon House. The contrast in care and approach couldn’t have been more different. After several weeks in his new setting, my father-in-law had thrived. All the staff treated my father-in-law with the dignity and kindness he deserved, he was always well presented and he was treated as a gentleman with a back-story not just a resident with Alzheimer's. The care home manager was amazing and was obviously completely devoted to her residents. Sadly my father-in-law passed away a few months later but reassuringly I knew that in the last few months of his life, he had been happy and had received the best care possible. I cannot praise the manager and her wonderful staff enough for their care and compassion.
Hi Jean, a very big thank you to you for leaving us such a positive review. Our residents are at the forefront of everything we do at Clarendon House and we strive to ensure each resident receives the best care possible within our home. Many thanks once again for your feedback.
Small and intimate - staff know the residents and the residents know the staff. The staff really care, the residents are not a number. The staff work very hard to ensure that the resident's individual needs are met. The home itself is kept extremely clean and residents bedrooms are well looked after. I am confident that Dad is safe and well looked after.
Thank you very much for your kind review. Everyone at Clarendon House work hard to create a very homely feel whilst providing professional care; something often not possible in larger establishments.
