All staff at The Knowles never cease to amaze me with their care.
We recently took my mother in law out. All the staff had reminded her and encouraged her to feel positive and get ready, even making sure she didn't eat too much before we arrived.
When we returned it was just like going back home.
She was greeted with great humour and asked all about her adventure.
Leaving her in the knowledge that she is safe and happy is a true gift - thank you!

The home is a very welcoming, warm and the staff are all very caring, warm-hearted and they all work very hard to keep all the residents happy.
There are lots of activities for the residents, dancing, singing, Jumping Jacques and more. The manager and assistant who run the home are very dedicated
and out the care of the residents 1st in every case.
I give the level of care 10 out of 10.

I am absolutely overwhelmed by the support, care and dedication of the staff. Their attention to detail and needs of each resident can be clearly seen, especially the Acting Senior. Staff are dedicated, have a sense of humor and will assist and discuss my mother's care at every opportunity. The residents
are happy and you can clearly see they are safe, secure and cared for.

The core of regular full-time staff show their knowledge of the resident's needs and care for them with patience and humour. However, some of the agency staff cannot match this and show they are not so well suited for the job.
All the full-time staff including cleaners, cooks and maintenance staff
show a willingness to help whenever they can.

The home is clean and comfortable for its residents. The staff are kind and helpful to residents but the laundry is haphazard and items get lost or are poorly treated. My only concern would be that there is not enough to occupy or stimulate residents during the day. I realise that costs must be taken
into consideration, but leaving residents sat in front of a TV is no good for people with poor eyesight or hearing and is not enough to occupy what minds they have left.

Our mother came to The Knowles after a long stay in hospital, it was decided she could no longer live within her housing with care setting.
She is 97 years old and this was an enormous change for her, but I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at The Knowles, they put her at ease and made her feel
very welcome.
The care and support received has been of a very high standard, and all of us family members have been welcomed on each visit.
The time has now come for Mum to move on to a permanent placement and we would like to thank all the staff at The Knowles for everything they have done over the last six weeks.
