Wonderful purpose built care home with caring staff and excellent facilities. The food is of an excellent standard, and tea/coffee, biscuits and cakes are frequently offered to both residents and guests if desired on a daily basis. There are weekly visits by local GPs, and residents' eyes and hearing
are checked regularly. Arts and crafts sessions are held on a weekly basis, and there are visits by outside entertainment and activities to encourage physical fitness and mobility, all in all, brilliant.

Visited an old friend at Trinity Lodge since he became a resident recently. Pleasantly surprised how clean, bright and inviting the place was. The staff are very accommodating. Most of all, our friend is more than happy staying there.

My husband has only been in Trinity Lodge 3 weeks, so it is early days. He appears happy and content. There are a few small issues which I'm sure will be sorted. All staff are kind and caring.
Reply from Estelle Johnson, Manager at Trinity LodgeThank you for taking the time to review Trinity Lodge and we are pleased that you rate our safety/ security as excellent. Thank you for your kind comments regarding our team, which I will pass on. It's lovely to know your husband has settled in at Trinity Lodge. We appreciate your time to discuss your husband's care and I will make the necessary arrangements for personal care. We await the Fixxon buttons to help identify laundry but will ensure this is operational as soon as possible. My door is open to discuss our care and all aspects of day-to-day life at Trinity Lodge.

From the first time we came to view Trinity it felt the right place for Mum to come to. She has been here since October and she has settled in really well. The staff are so good to everyone and make my mum's days pleasant. I can go home knowing she is well cared for, she is being fed, drinks, showered
and most of all safe. Thank you to the wonderful staff for looking after my mum, there is no better place for her.

This is the best place by far of all the homes we looked at. The mother-in-law seems very happy every time I come to visit. The staff and facilities are excellent and cater to everyone's needs. I would highly recommend Trinity Lodge and their number 1 care. Thank you.

All the staff at Trinity Lodge are outstanding. This includes the team leader, carers, cleaners, cooks and the handyman. We are always kept well informed of any concerns and involved in all discussions regarding care. The staff are attentive, caring and kind to residents. The residents are treated with
dignity and respect. I would recommend Trinity Lodge to anyone who wanted excellent care for their loved one.

I am not satisfied with the care that has been provided to my mum. In the three months she has been there she has had more falls than in the 3 years I have looked after her. She is a high-risk faller. She has suffered black eyes, multiple bruising and wounds. She has lost 1/2 stone in weight. The last
fall has resulted in a broken hip and at 84 shouldn't have had to go through that pain and I was then told they don't know how it happened!
Reply from Kim Slade, Manager at Trinity LodgeWe take all feedback and concerns very seriously at Trinity Lodge, where the health, safety and wellbeing of our residents is our priority. I am sorry to see that you are not satisfied with the care received at our home and did not feel that all your concerns were addressed in our previous communications and visits. Concerns raised with external agencies, such as social services have been fully investigated and no further action has been taken. If you would like to discuss this with me again, please do not hesitate to contact me.

My mother has been here just over a year and appears to be looked after extremely well even though she can occasionally be difficult. The staff seem to work extremely hard organising regular activities even though they seem very busy and work long hours. They are also very friendly and happy to talk

We found ourselves in the unfortunate position of needing an urgent short stay for Mother a few days before Christmas. Mother has vascular dementia and had deteriorated for unknown reasons to us quite quickly resulting in scary unseen behaviours to us as a family and to my father. We did not know Mother
as she presented, terribly scared and confused.
A very traumatic time for us all.
Mother went to Trinity Lodge and I actually believe if she had not, Mother would not be home with us today.
From the very first night when Mother was most scared and behaving out of character, the staff worked tirelessly and patiently to calm her. They called me and I spoke to Mother via Zoom. The home happy to embrace with technology. Mum could see me and we encouraged Mum back to her room to try and settle her. The staff diligently trialled new medication and encouraged her to sit in the lounge, eat well and converse. Mother is home now weeks later and calm and doing well on new meds. Fantastic home.

Mum has been at Trinity Lodge for 3 months now. It was very upsetting making the decision that Mum needed to go into care, but the whole family agree that she couldn't be in a better place. The residents are relaxed and happy and move around a lot mixing with the staff, who are all lovely. The staff
sit with the residents in the lounge doing bits of paperwork while they all have tea and cakes in the afternoon. So much nicer than residents sitting on their own as there is more fun and conversation. Also, many activities and visits take place.

All the staff are lovely and really friendly and helpful! There is a lovely homely atmosphere at the home and Mum very obviously feels at home and as though the staff are friends rather than carers. I very often hear staff saying I love you if a resident is distressed and needs soothing. The building
and equipment are kept spotless and in good repair and the meals are beautiful with snacks and drinks provided/offered as needed. I fully recommend Trinity Lodge.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.559)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.559) out of 10 for Trinity Lodge is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 31 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 29 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.559 for Trinity Lodge is calculated as follows: ( (258 Excellents x 5) + (77 Goods x 4) + (9 Satisfactorys x 3) + (11 Poors x 2) + (8 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 363 Ratings = 4.559
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Trinity Lodge is based on 29 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 40 registered maximum number of service users is 8, which has been reached with 29 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
