Netherton Green offers a safe setting for older people to receive personalised care and support. Four houses make up the purpose built home, providing different types and levels of care for short or long term requirements.

The home is situated in a pleasant residential area, close to the centre of Dudley and offers comfortable accommodation within a warm and welcoming environment. Bright and airy rooms have been furnished and decorated to the high standard expected in a Advinia care home.

Both hot and cold options are available at mealtimes and the in-house chef fully understands residents’ needs and dietary preferences to make sure they receive food that they find both satisfying and enjoyable.

Residents can continue to enjoy their pastimes in the home or even start new ones with the help of the dedicated activity co-ordinator, always on hand to suggest new ideas and help clients to achieve a fulfilling lifestyle. We will always be extremely grateful for the way the staff of Netherton Green cared for our Aunt, in the final days of her life. She was treated with respect and dignity and love. Thanks to the team at Netherton's Windmill House unit, she was able to have a conversation with her sister in Canada, via
a video mobile call, facilitated by one of the carers, on the afternoon she passed away. They couldn't have been more accommodating. Thank you very much.

Mom was brought in to Netherton Green from the hospital for stepdown after a nasty fall. Mom is normally very active, so to be told she would spend a few weeks in a nursing home was a shock to her, but staff soon reassured her and spoke to help her adjust to life in there. All the staff are very friendly,
helpful and kind.

My father was in Netherton Green having been diagnosed with Vascular Dementia at a time when we could no longer cope at home. From the offset, Dad had a room overlooking the garden which he loved. All staff befriended and encouraged him with all tasks. The care and compassion was second to none. Most
of all, he was treated like the lovely human he was, not a number.

My dad went in for palliative care. His needs were very demanding but the staff were excellent and showed him dignity and respect in his last days. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they even looked after us with tea and biscuits. Both the day and night staff were very professional.

My mom was moved to Netherton Green from her home where she had carers attend to her four times a day very sporadic and not suitable for her care needs. For the four months she spent here, my mom was comfortable and happy, she ate and drank regularly and enjoyed the interaction with the staff. We always
found the staff to be friendly, approachable and supportive. Knowing that my mom was safe and being well looked after was a great comfort.

The staff are wonderful and very professional. The nurses were calm, reassuring and an enormous help. The corridors are very echoey so voices and trolley noise was disturbing on occasions. The door is very noisy, particularly at night.

My nephew was treated with utmost care and attention and, in difficult moments, persuaded by senior staff to stay with them a little longer for his own well-being (for the first 48 hours or so, he just wanted to go home) and he soon became content. All members of the family were treated with care, assistance
and good food, for which we were grateful at this very painful time. Thank you.

Thank you for the care and compassion shown by all staff members at Darby House. At all times, my father's dignity was respected and he received high-quality, individual palliative care, taking into account his wishes at all times. As a family, we trusted completely that even when at times we couldn't
be present, Father's needs would always be met and he would be comfortable. We felt looked after as a family at a sad and difficult time.

My father was a resident in Darby House, Netherton Green following a fall on the night of my mother's death. Dad and all the family were treated with dignity and respect. All assistance was given to all of us on the day of my mum's funeral and all care given to my father until his death on 16/09/19.
Every member of staff showed sympathy, compassion and caring to all of us at this difficult time.

I cannot fault Netherton Green. The staff are excellent, polite helpful and very pleasant. The food is excellent and very tasty. The rooms are very good with beds that are very comfortable and long enough for tall people.

My whole experience of Netherton Green so far is outstanding. From the first phone call to the liaison lady, to my unexpected visit, to speaking to the staff and being greeted by the Home Manager, I was made to feel welcome and at home. The room my dad is in is very spacious and looks onto the garden.
I love how we can personalise his room and we have already made a recommendation to a friend. Keep up the high standard. Thank you.

My father was at the nursing home for about six weeks. In that time, the staff were really caring and helpful and went above and beyond what was expected from them. They looked after my father exceptionally. In his last few days, they were there for us as well as him and made the sad process much easier
to bear.

We cannot thank the staff and management enough for making the stay at Darby House a pleasurable one. Whilst the situation was stressful, everyone was friendly, caring, sociable and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
What a lovely crew! An asset to any home.
The standard of service was impeccable.

My mum is in primrose. The nurses/managers and other staff are extremely helpful, they deal with any issues swiftly, they are kind and courteous and are a credit to the home in general.
Mum is happy and settled in a clean, caring environment. I would highly recommend Netherton Green to anyone looking

Job Title: Administrator Joined: 2019

Nikki has been with Advinia for just over three years, joining as an Activities Coordinator, and after helping out in the office during Covid she then moved to the Receptionist position on the rehabilitation House. This is a role that she thoroughly enjoyed and felt that she was able to learn so much more about the home. From there Nikki joined the Finance team where she is the home Administrator.


Outside of work, she is a mum to a 5-year-old little boy and has just brought her first home with her partner, who she is due to marry in 2023.

I joined the team at Netherton Green in June 2001 as a Care Assistant, roughly 18 months later I was successful in promotion to Senior Care Assistant which was a role I had for 16 years. For the last 3 and a half years I have worked in the Activities and Wellbeing team and was again successful in promotion to Senior Activity and Wellbeing Coordinator at the beginning of 2022. Being in the Activities team allows me to get to know the Residents and their families in a different way, being able to help them engage with and enable Residents to continue to do the things that they enjoy, really is what I love about my job.
