Netherton Green offers a safe setting for older people to receive personalised care and support. Four houses make up the purpose built home, providing different types and levels of care for short or long term requirements.

The home is situated in a pleasant residential area, close to the centre of Dudley and offers comfortable accommodation within a warm and welcoming environment. Bright and airy rooms have been furnished and decorated to the high standard expected in a Advinia care home.

Both hot and cold options are available at mealtimes and the in-house chef fully understands residents’ needs and dietary preferences to make sure they receive food that they find both satisfying and enjoyable.

Residents can continue to enjoy their pastimes in the home or even start new ones with the help of the dedicated activity co-ordinator, always on hand to suggest new ideas and help clients to achieve a fulfilling lifestyle. I was taken to Netherton Green Care Home on 25th December 2018 from hospital as I was not expected to live very long. If it was not for the care and attention given to me which was wonderful I would not be here today. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Now back home, able to walk again with aids
and now feeling much better, all thanks to staff at Darby House.

Very pleased with the cleanliness of the establishment and the staff from all levels of the business were friendly, polite and made time to talk to the residents and also visitors. Quite impressed with the day trips out and entertainment provided.

My husband was in Darby House for 5 days. The care, support - staff - nurses all made his last days comfortable and pain-free. I tried to care for my husband at home, but at 84 was unable to cope. I thank everyone at Darby House for getting me through this difficult time.

Mom only spent seven days here due to the final stages of a terminal illness. Even though she was only here for a short time, the care she received was absolutely brilliant. The staff are caring, courteous and professional. Their caring and sensitive natures are what has made a terribly difficult time

The home is well run and the staff do an excellent job caring for the residents and for any visitors. The staff keep you informed of any changes and also how the resident is doing.
They always keep you in the loop with anything you need to know and hold relatives meetings where you can ask questions
and give your opinions of how things are being done. It is a very well run home with friendly and caring staff.

My brother was admitted to Netherton Green Nursing Home following a diagnosis of terminal cancer. All of the staff were excellent, they were very friendly, approachable, polite who did their job with diligence and good humour. The nurses were extremely professional and diligent in respect of the safety
and security issues of the medications. The carers were all very supportive and treated all of their charges with respect and worked hard to maintain the resident’s dignity. The support staff, particularly the cleaning and catering personnel, were cut from the same cloth in their day to day contact with residents and visitors. Overall, the staff are what makes this an excellent facility. Without exception, all of the staff who had any dealing with my brother or any of his visitors are lovely people doing an extraordinary job. I have no reservations in recommending this care home to anyone and would be very happy to be cared for should I ever need palliative care.

We would like to thank all the staff at Darby Unit for the last nine months of Mom’s life. Mom had complex needs and was bedridden.
The unit was well organised and everything clean and tidy. The staff were incredibly friendly, caring and compassionate - we couldn’t fault them.

Staff at Darby House were very supportive and showed care and compassion to both my Mum and the family. I knew whilst I was away at work Mum was receiving good care. I was kept informed about my Mum's care and any health issues.

My brother in law was admitted to Netherton Green Care Home (Darby House) and spent the last ten days of his life being cared for by its dedicated staff.
The building may need a bit of 'TLC' but the professional and caring staff could not be faulted. They listened to the needs of my brother in law
and followed them exactly. They took the time to listen to our concerns and gave us all the information we needed.
From the cleaning staff to the care assistants to the nurses and administrators everyone was as professional and as kind and caring as they could possibly be. They laughed with us when times were good and when the end came for my brother in law, they cried with us.
On behalf of the family, I would like to give them a huge thank you, they made a terrible situation so much easier to bear.

Went to visit my relative today 27/08/18 and was welcomed by 2 lovely nurses outside the building as we were unsure where to go, they were very polite and helpful and directed us the way. On entering the building was very impressed how clean and well kept it looked, the atmosphere was calm and relaxed,
entering my relative's room it looks cosy and welcoming, tv on and clean, staff were very helpful and quickly responded to request made, must say first impressions are important and I was very happy.

My mom was only with you for 3 weeks but the kindness and compassion we were shown means the world to us. Everyone worked really hard but always had a smile and a hello, even making us drinks and sandwiches which were really appreciated. I would have no hesitation in recommending Netherton Green Care

I am happy with the treatment my husband gets. He is always clean and properly clothed. The staff keep their eye on him and are very affectionate.
He can't communicate verbally but they know him and can understand his needs.

My mom is well settled here. We looked at different homes, came here and we liked it from the first look. Mom doesn't deal with change due to her Vascular Dementia. The friendly faces of staff always help in every way.

Mom has been in care at Netherton for almost two years. She has settled well and as a family, we are happy with the care she gets. The unit she is on is a dementia unit and is a difficult unit but she receives the care she needs and the staff are caring and accommodating. Mom is a self-funder and the
care costs are excessive in my opinion.

Nikki has been with Advinia for just over three years, joining as an Activities Coordinator, and after helping out in the office during Covid she then moved to the Receptionist position on the rehabilitation House. This is a role that she thoroughly enjoyed and felt that she was able to learn so much more about the home. From there Nikki joined the Finance team where she is the home Administrator.


Outside of work, she is a mum to a 5-year-old little boy and has just brought her first home with her partner, who she is due to marry in 2023.

I joined the team at Netherton Green in June 2001 as a Care Assistant, roughly 18 months later I was successful in promotion to Senior Care Assistant which was a role I had for 16 years. For the last 3 and a half years I have worked in the Activities and Wellbeing team and was again successful in promotion to Senior Activity and Wellbeing Coordinator at the beginning of 2022. Being in the Activities team allows me to get to know the Residents and their families in a different way, being able to help them engage with and enable Residents to continue to do the things that they enjoy, really is what I love about my job.
