Overall Experience

My sister is non verbal and at first I didn't want her to go into a care home, this was until I came to Stoneleigh house and seen for myself how the other residents were excelling. I spoke with residents on my visit and they shared how happy they are with living at Stoneleigh and how well they are treated. The CQC Rating does not reflect how great this home is, I feel that this should be looked into as the home and its team deserve top marks. When my sister stayed in hospital staff stayed with her for the whole duration of her stay. Management are fantastic, they go above and beyond to ensure the residents needs are met and family are kept well informed. The management devised a bespoke care plan and risk assessments for my sisters needs that is fantastic.I can't praise this home enough the staff and management are fantastic, the home is clean and smells fresh.Residents are given choices and are always excited to tell us of there outings and where they are going to next.

Overall Experience
Our Son (61 yrs) Has been a resident at Stoneleigh since November 2024, before that a day care user for about 10 years. He has Autism, Learning Disabilities, Cancer and has had an operation that has left him with a Stoma Bag that he doesn't cope with, he can also be very challenging.
I cannot fault the care he gets from the Staff at Stoneleigh, staff are always on hand to help him and to clean him up when he has had an accident with his bag, (which is quite frequently). He has his own en-suite room in the bungalow, where there is a lounge/dining room and freedom of the whole complex.
As he is semi-independent and has his own mobility scooter which he uses most days and the staff have gone the extra mile on the occasions he has flattened his battery to go and push him back to the Home.
The food is good, plentiful and well balanced, and the staff provide him with numerous cups of tea anytime he asks day or night.

The Home is perfect for our son.

Overall Experience

This is the second time we have used this facility for emergency respite. We would consider it again but only in an emergency. My issues are 1:- safety, residents are expected to cross a busy main road between facilities when required. (supervised). 2:- Cleanliness. Our child cannot clean himself. On this latest visit the school taxi operators complained to the care home staff that the child was dirty only to be told "no-one told us he can't clean himself". There are other instances of non communication between staff too. I'm not pleased with this home.
