The staff are lovely & welcoming & Grandma has been very happy here.
Before her health declined Grandma enjoyed all the activities on offer & it was lovely to hear all about them on our visits.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are lucky to have such a wonderful house full of love and happiness and a whole feeling of togetherness from Residents, staff and family and friends.
When my mother turned 100 Field House put on several celebrations - one for her fellow residents, a party for the family and a small lunch for friends. Communications were v. good and nothing was too much trouble. We had a v. festive weekend and I thank all concerned. The staff are wonderful - and many thanks to Caroline.
Thank you so much for your kind review. It was a pleasure to hold such a wonderful celebration and have the experience of enjoying it with you.
My mother has been at Field House for 2 years now. She has been very happy ever since she moved in, her mood improved dramatically after living on her own throughout the weeks, (coming to stay with us only at weekends) The staff are friendly & jolly, and encourageing my mother to get involved in the many fun & interesting activities they provide constantly.
Thank you for your kind review, we enjoy Moms company and we also really look forward to your smile when you visit always uplifting the mood within the home.
The staff were so kind & made me feel very welcome. It was so warm & friendly & nothing was too much trouble. I had a lovely lunch & always enjoy my visits to Field House.
Thank you for your kind review. I am glad that you enjoyed your visit and we will look forward to welcoming you again very soon.
I have visited my friend almost weekly and it has been a real joy to see her within weeks of moving there after a long spell of hospital stays; recovered, restored to her old self. She has been personally cared for in many way. Not just physically with nurses and food but made to laugh - known for who she is. Each visit I have witnessed the carers happy smiley faces. It is small enough to behave as a family. Wonderful, and I and my husband are very thankful.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review, we love welcoming you into our home on your visits.
We look forward to the wonderful celebrations that we have planned in the very near future.
My gran absolutely loves it here & has just celebrated her 84th birthday where she felt so spoilt and loved. After loosing my grandad last year this is the very best place for her and we cannot recommend Paula and the girls enough!
We love nothing more than your family visits you are what makes the family feel that we are so lucky to have.
The care provided to my mother by the entire team at Field House has been exceptional. Since moving in, she's been settled, well cared for, and all her needs fully met. She's become very sociable and enjoys a wide range of engaging activities that always give us plenty to talk about when we visit. The food is excellent, with great choice and quality, and staff happily accommodate individual requests. My mother mentioned to the chef that she hadn't had a Queen of Puddings in years - he made one the next day, and she said it was delicious. Those thoughtful touches mean so much. All staff are friendly, polite, and attentive, and the home is immaculate and welcoming with lovely communal areas, especially the upstairs lounge. Communication is excellent, with staff keeping families fully informed. Paula and Stephanie lead the team superbly - they are a credit to Barchester.
Thanks you so much for a wonderful review , Your Mom is a wonderful lady and she brings such joy and laughter to the home every day.
Very good care and support for my mother over the last 12 months. Most impressed with the staff ratios including weekends, range of activities and quality of food and personal care. My mother has had some health challenges in this period which can be expected given her age but the staff have communicated and assisted us in managing these. Many thanks to all involved
Thank you for your lovely review. It is a pleasure to have your Mom in our Field House family.
I have stayed for respite care at Field House before & have always had a good experience there. The staff & management are friendly & helpful & because of its size the home always has a warm & welcoming feel. All the residents know each other & are encouraged to join in various group activities. The staff work well together & for me personally I have found it to be "a home from home".
Thank you for your feedback. We look forward to seeing you again.
I try to visit her almost everyday but sometimes it's not possible but it's always reassuring to know she is in a nice residencial home that there is a lot happening , activities , lovely meals and great care. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending FH .
Mum went in for post op care in Oct 24 and she has Alzheimer's. Field House was highly recommended by a friend of mum's who has made it his permanent home. From the first step in the door I knew it was the place to be. Four months on it has turned out to be such a godsend. For mum she has regained her physical health, made good friends, got a stable happy safe life with round the clock care from people she respects and likes. She feels the team can't do enough for her and particularly "treat me as normal, even when I do daft things"! My anxiety levels about mum's wellbeing, from when she lived in her own home, have dropped completely and the advice and guidance I've received from the team has been invaluable. They are definitely doing something very right and go the extra mile to make the home caring and fun. They do an incredibly difficult job and mum and I are hugely appreciative.
Thank you so much for your review, your mom and yourself always bring a laughter and smiles to the home we enjoy every moment of providing her care.
Very comfortable home. Dedicated staff. Mum is very well cared for and enjoys the food and activities.
Thank you so much for your kind review, we enjoy every moment of having Mom in the Field House family and listening to her wonderful stories.
Community lunch - excellent food, lovely atmosphere. Thank you for your support of local groups.
Wonderful visit for a charity lunch today - we were treated with care and respect from start to finish, we will be back!
Barchester The Field House Care Home is a lovely care home. Our dad came here soon after our mum died - he was frail, sad and withdrawn - he has settled in so well and has a whole new lease of life. It is such a friendly, active home - lots of trips out, entertainment and activities. He is so well looked after and happy. We can not fault it.
Thank you for your kind review and thank you for being a supportive member of the Field House family, we always look forward to your visits as much as your dad. You bring happiness and laughter to our happy home.
He has blossomed in a way I would not have believed possible. He takes part in all the activities and is constantly telling me what he has been doing. The staff are amazing they look after him in a respectful manner and are kind and attentive. Everything is clean and organised and the food is lovely, always with a choice.
I really can find no fault in the care we/he receives. I am disabled myself and they are always on hand to help me as well as dad.
Keep on with what you are doing, it's brilliant
Thank you so much for your kind review. We love every moment of having your father and his loving daughters within our Field House family, we look forward to every visit and the laughter that will be shared.

Hi, my name is Stella, and I am proud to be the Head Chef at Field House. I am responsible for providing a top class dining experience and ensuring that the menus reflect the high standards that every resident should enjoy. I am constantly speaking with residents to find out what foods they prefer, the way they like things presented and how I can make every meal a great experience.
Working with the care staff to ensure each resident's unique dietary requirements are met, is just one of the ways that my kitchen team support the health and well-being of our residents. I spend time with each new resident to ensure that my team and I are aware of their preferences and favourites when they first move in to Field House.

Hi, I joined Field House in 2021 from another Barchester home. I have worked in care for the last 30 years and a big part of that has been with Barchester.
Here at Field House, I organise a variety of activities and social events within the home and in the community, such as gardening club arts and crafts, and weekly exercise sessions along with live singers and musicians every month. We are also keen on regular outings to local landmarks, museums, cafes and shopping centres.
