My father could not have received any better care and this is the most vulnerable time in his life. He was treated with dignity and respect and it was most reassuring knowing that living with us geographically quite a distance away he was always in safe hands. The chef took great care in preparing nutritionally appropriate and delicious food. Very satisfied.
We miss him every day and we hope that our relationship will continue, we look forward to inviting you to any events that take place within the home and spending time with you in the future.
Mum had the dignity and respect that we felt would only be possible at home. We felt that a great deal of the burden was taken off our shoulders and we could spend some precious and special time with mum at the end of her life. The atmosphere of the home was very lovely. There was always a sense of genuine caring, chatter and interest that we observed between staff and residents. One day we saw the chef having a really delightful conversation with a resident. All the staff, whoever they were, seemed to have the same sunny and compassionate approach, not just to residents, but to visitors too. We thank you all very much for all you did for us.
Providing this care was an absolute pleasure for us and we feel very honored to have been a part of your moms last days and hours.
Staff and management are very friendly and caring!
It is a pleasure to have you as a part of the Field House family.
The atmosphere of the home is very pleasant and friendly, unlike some that we visited prior to selecting Field House.
Very happy that Mum is being well cared for.
Thank you for your lovely review, it is a pleasure to have Mum as a part of the Field House family.
Visited a resident twice during her stay, always made very welcome. Would certainly recommend.
Thank you for the lovely review. I am glad that you have had a nice experience here at Field House.
I cannot fault the staff or the service provided.
Mom is a pleasure to have as a part of the Field House family.
We had hoped our mother could end her days at home with our help, but her health declined rapidly and we needed more people, especially for night time care. We booked her into Field House Care Home, as being the nicest we saw. It's like a small hotel, but with lots of people to call on and watch over you. The care provided was excellent and as Mum's health continued to decline, Field House dealt very well with her changing needs. We had booked Mum in initially for four weeks, but she declined further and passed away after two weeks. The care home was particularly brilliant the last few days, seeing what was happening and calling in the right NHS nursing teams. At home, we’d have been given the NHS 111 run-around, but Mum's terminal NHS care was managed in an exemplary way by the care home, knowing which local NHS team to call and when. We thoroughly recommend the Field House.
Thank you so much for your lovely review.
It was a pleasure to look after your mother during her final days and ensure that she received care of the highest quality. We are like a big family here at Field House and we welcome you to visit us at any time for cake and coffee and a chat.
I went to Field House what a lovely home it is lovely. The staff are very pleasant and very helpful and all the residents look really happy and contented what a lovely home Field House is and the grounds are beautiful.
Thank you for your lovely review, we will look forward to seeing you again soon.
Thank you so much for taking care of my auntie, especially the manager and another staff member who went up and beyond to make her stay a happy and comfortable one. When you walk into the home you feel part of the Barchester family and nothing is too much trouble for all the residents and visitors.
She was a huge part of our family here at Field House, as were you.
Please stay in touch and visit us when you can for coffee and cake.
I think the care, food and quality of living here are perfect.
Anyone part of this care home should be proud to be a part of it.
It makes me humbled that you feel this way, and I will be sure to pass this on to my team.
We look forward to welcoming you to Field House again very soon.
Always a warm and friendly response given by the Staff here.
Which in turn makes you feel very welcomed.
Thank you for your kind words, we hope to welcome you into Field House again soon.
Came up for 3 afternoons to see my mum. Very impressed with the staff and home. Friendly feel and mum speaks so highly of everyone. I could not be more pleased. Safety and regulations are paramount which is great to see.
We have really enjoyed having your Mum in our home and we are very glad to hear that she is comfortable and happy.
I found all the staff very approachable and ready to have a chat about medical matters and about what was on the TV the previous evening if time allowed. During the first 6 weeks of my stay the home underwent a major refurbishment which by its very nature created a lot of noise and disruption to routine, but once completed the house would be appreciated with its new look. The food was excellent with a wide choice. Residents are encouraged to do as much for themselves as their health and ability allowed. Varied entertainment was provided but not taken advantage of by a lot of residents.
We hope that we can welcome you into Field House again very soon to enjoy a coffee and a chat.
Social distancing was very much in evidence.
Thank you very much for your review Stephen, I am hoping that very soon we will be able to have more face to face interaction. We are very honoured to have the privilege of your mom's company every day and we endeavour to provide her with the highest standard of care.
All in all, a home from home, and one which I am pleased to call my home.
If there is anything more that we can do to make you feel more comfortable here at Field House, please do not hesitate to ask. As you are aware, we like to...
Please thank all your wonderful staff for their kind and caring support which they gave to my Mum. Thanks once again to all at Field House, Church Stretton 10/10.
Thank you for your kind review. It was a pleasure to care for your mum during her short stay and we hope to welcome you all back soon.
During the lockdown, the staff and management team have gone out of their way to reassure and comfort my mother. She has had staff take extra time with her to ensure she does not feel lonely and has been encouraged to do activities. I write to my mother every week and was blown away when she wrote back. Her first letter in many years. She also recorded a video message for me too. I feel content and so pleased she is in such a loving environment.
Thank you for your kind review. We appreciate that lockdown has been difficult for all, but we are so pleased that the residents have embraced communication styles (old and new!) to keep in touch. We look forward to seeing you soon.
High quality and consistency are what I appreciate about Field House. These attributes are reflected in the facilities but most importantly in the care of my mother. The staff has high standards and is exceptionally nice. They give me peace of mind.
Thank you for your kind review. I am delighted to hear that you have peace of mind during these difficult times and we look forward to seeing you soon.
In very difficult times Field House and its wonderful staff have kept my mother happy and safe. The attitude of the staff and management is exemplary and the small size of the house means it retains the feel of a home rather than an institution. Field House sets the standards that others aim for.
We look forward to seeing you when it is safe to do so.
Mum moved into Field House almost a year ago after looking at a number of other residences. She was instinctively drawn to Field House for its family feel and friendly atmosphere, and it has turned out to be an excellent choice. Mum is very independent, and the staff at Field House respect and encourage that. She has a special connection with many of the staff and residents, and we feel that she is truly cherished.
Thank you for your kind review. Being able to support your mum is truly a pleasure for me and the team. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Hi, my name is Stella, and I am proud to be the Head Chef at Field House. I am responsible for providing a top class dining experience and ensuring that the menus reflect the high standards that every resident should enjoy. I am constantly speaking with residents to find out what foods they prefer, the way they like things presented and how I can make every meal a great experience.
Working with the care staff to ensure each resident's unique dietary requirements are met, is just one of the ways that my kitchen team support the health and well-being of our residents. I spend time with each new resident to ensure that my team and I are aware of their preferences and favourites when they first move in to Field House.

Hi, I joined Field House in 2021 from another Barchester home. I have worked in care for the last 30 years and a big part of that has been with Barchester.
Here at Field House, I organise a variety of activities and social events within the home and in the community, such as gardening club arts and crafts, and weekly exercise sessions along with live singers and musicians every month.
