Approximately 4 weeks ago, my husband was discharged back to residential care home having been treated for infection. I cannot put into words how well all the staff have cared and looked after him. Also, been very caring yet professional to me. The manager leads by example and she has a wonderful team of staff.
Father was made welcome and seems content after being at Maple Tree over 12 months. Dietary needs well supported. Also care when required to dress/undress but on the whole Dad enjoys his independence. When he feels able, would like to see Dad get more involved with activities, he enjoys a quiz plus outside entertainment which could be more during the week. Dad would like a better smoking area.
My mum has advanced vascular/Alzheimer's dementia, so does not partake in activities but the staff are very kind and she feels comfortable and safe there. She is able to have her hair done and staff paint the ladies' nails which is a morale booster. It is also nice to sit in the garden with her. I am happy with the care she receives.
As a family, we got my dad an emergency stay at Maple Tree Court. He has been so well looked after during his stay. The home is well-maintained. The staff are incredible and the food is well-balanced and tasty, so my dad says. It cost us a lot of money as a family for my dad to be there but it has been with every penny. A big thank you to everyone at Maple Tree Court.
My mum has been a resident for over 3 years and since arriving she improved so much in her physical and mental health. The staff who cared for her actually became friends, they respected her, she trusted them and she felt safe. They got to know her on a deeper level so they fully understood her personal needs and her likes and dislikes. Her room was always clean and comfortable and she also made friends with other residents. The staff should be recognised for the excellent care and support they give not only to my mum, but to me and my wife. They are always available for any questions or concerns to be answered and this has been invaluable at more challenging times with my mum's health.
Excellent overall. The staff are friendly and helpful with a welcoming atmosphere and professional approach. One criticism would be is that the interior of the building is beginning to look a bit tired, carpets, decorating, furniture in day rooms etc.
Maple Tree is such a lovely care home, it has put my mind at ease that my day is being looked after by such lovely and caring staff. There is lots of activities going on and quite peaceful rooms as well. Such a lovely environment. I would highly recommend this home.
My Mum is safe, happy and very well looked after by the staff at Maple Tree. We couldn't be more pleased with the standard of care. Music plays through the building, it is a bright and comfortable care home. I feel that the staff really know my mum. From the very first day she went into care we received so much help and support from them all.
We find all the staff are exceptional with the care of our mum. Even the staff who are not on her floor engage with her when she is around the home. Since moving she has improved considerably nutritionally. We are pleased with her care and to know she is safe and cared for.
Large turnover of staff which is pretty common in care homes.
Lack of activities for the floor our mum is on, which is the floor for residents with more severe dementia, although there are some residents on that floor who have the capability.
Some of these look to be totally bored with very little to do and have seen some caring for other residents.
Always seems to be a lot going on on the lower floor.
Quite sad because these residents need the stimulation.
Shame the organisation cannot put an activity coordinator in place rather than relying on staff to think of things to do.
Thank you for taking the time to review Maple Tree Court and we are pleased that you rate our rooms as excellent. We have an all team approach to activities with a daily, weekly and monthly activity calendar in place. Our activities are arranged with our residents' input. We encourage residents to...
The home is excellent. All care staff are very friendly and helpful to residents and family members. All the activities and food are brilliant. Most importantly they keep family members informed and my Aunt is very happy here.
My lovely little dad is so well cared for, and he's very content. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly to my mum every time she visits Dad. The home smells very fresh and is bright and cheerful in decor.
Very friendly staff who are always very helpful with us and the resident.
Permanent staff are excellent but have seen agency staff not pulling their weight.
Visitors are treated well by staff. I suggest limiting phones to staff agency workers.
The catering is amazing - well done. Nothing is too much trouble. Keep up the good work.
The garden is looking good.
Thank you for taking the time to review Maple Tree Court, we are pleased that you rate our overall experience as excellent. We appreciate your kind comments regarding our team and our catering. I will pass this feedback on to my colleagues. Our use of agency staff is a temporary measure whilst...
There is nothing that I can fault about the home, my mum is happy, really well cared for. She is always clean and looks smart. The food is outstanding. All the staff are friendly and approachable, they always find time to answer any questions. It was a really difficult decision to place Mum into a care home, but the home has made this easier for the family, knowing how well looked after Mum is.
The care home has dealt very well over the last two years with the COVID related.
All residents are well looked after.
I find the care home very friendly and polite. My mother is cared for very well. Sometimes I've found it difficult to talk to my mother by telephone when there were restrictions due to COVID, but now the care home has opened up to visitors again it's much better. I've put that down to poor internet connection, which I hope soon gets sorted. Everything else I'm satisfied with.
Lovely staff, very committed and caring to the residents. Lots of activities for the residents and support for their families.
Mum has been at Maple Tree Court for six years - it really is home from home. I cannot speak highly enough of the excellent care she receives. The staff are caring, attentive and care for Mum's many needs. During these difficult times, contact has been maintained by Zoom calls, so we had peace of mind Mam was okay. Excellent home run by an excellent and caring manager and staff. Thank you.
My Uncle was moved to this home in May after his previous home closed. The staff at this new home, Maple Tree Court, have been wonderful, very professional and caring at a difficult time. I cannot believe the difference in him. In the previous home, rarely left his room and personal hygiene suffered. With help of the carers, he looks so much better, is clean and smart and sits in the lounge daily. Quality of life much improved. I cannot thank the staff enough. I am his only visitor and live over 70 miles away. The staff have given me peace of mind that he is now looked after properly.
