The food and menu were always an issue, either cold or poor choice, who decides to do chicken curry in a home?

My dad has been in Orchard Blythe since April 2023. From day one the staff have been absolutely brilliant not only with Dad but with myself too - they were (and still are) an enormous support when Dad first went in and I was struggling with the emotional side of things. Staff are friendly, respectful, helpful, efficient and just generally go the extra mile to make the residents feel ‘at home’ and treat them like they are family. I couldn’t ask for any more when I see the relationships that they have built with Dad over the last few months. The home is spotless and the food nourishing with plenty of variety.

My mother has been at Orchard Blythe for several years and I have found that she has been treated well. Covid has caused considerable strain on the staff they have coped admirably. Hopefully, we can soon return to normal visiting.

Mum is very happy at Orchard Blythe and despite the difficult times over the last year or so has coped extremely well and although her dementia is getting worse she is still encouraged to do things for herself and joins in with some of the activities. I am very pleased with her care and I know Mum is too.

My mother has been a resident at Orchard Blythe for approximately 4-years. Throughout that time, I have been impressed with the level of care that she has received. My mother is happy and settled at the home, which is reassuring for the family. She is looked after in a warm and friendly manner. She seems very fond of the staff, and this is reciprocated.

Orchard Blythe care home is the ‘hidden gem’ of Coleshill. Our beautiful mother has been at Orchard Blythe now for 12-months, and it really is like a home from home. The staff are so caring and attentive, they do all they possibly can to make their residents feel at home, loved and appreciated. It was an awfully difficult time for our family to accept that Mum could no longer be living independently at home, but thank heavens for the manager at Orchard Blythe, who took the time on a very long phone call to put our minds at rest and explained the life at Orchard Blythe for the residents. On visiting the home, our minds were immediately made up that this was the care home for our wonderful Mum. Many thanks to every single member of staff at Orchard Blythe for everything you do for our very precious Mum.

I am grateful for the care and respect my nan has received, especially through difficult times. My nan has received a lot of compassion and understanding, which is a big comfort to us. She enjoys the activities as well as her own space, and this is facilitated in a personalised manner. My nan says she really enjoys the food, and the staff are lovely. After great trepidation at my mother going into a care home, I am so glad that she is at Orchard Blythe. She is well cared for and respected and has settled into her life there well. Friendly staff, helpful management, well run and well maintained. Mum is cared for and looked after, any health concerns are addressed appropriately. It’s been an interesting year for all, and I am very grateful for everything everyone has done at Orchard Blythe to keep everyone as well as possible, entertained and safe.
I feel so blessed we found this lovely care home for my mom, it really is lovely and the staff are amazing and I never have to worry about the care mom is receiving. The home is extremely clean, smells lovely at any time of the day and you are always made to feel welcome when you visit. Bedrooms are so lovely and very roomy; immaculate at all times. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home to anyone.
Orchard Blyth is the best thing we have done for our mom. She is so happy there and very settled. She has only grown in better health since being in the home. The staff are so lovely each and every one of them, so caring and understanding. And make you feel so welcome. The manager is amazing she has so much time and care for each resident. They are all like one big close family. Thank you all!
I did a review early last year when my friend came in, it has been a difficult year but I must say staff and management have been excellent in this time as they always keep me up to date with things with the weekly email and zoom calls. They are very attentive to my friend and understand her well and are keeping her safe as can be in these difficult times. Just to say a big thank you to you all and your dedication to my friend.
The last few months have been incredibly difficult for everyone, but the dedication of the staff has been exceptional, and we cannot thank them enough for the caring, attention and protection they have given our family member. It has been very comforting to get the regular updates and to be able to talk to and see our family member using technology.

Meet the Team (5)
I have been involved in care since the age of 16. My career began at Caldwell Grange in 1983, where I worked until I was 21, leaving briefly after the birth of my first son. I continued my journey in the care sector, supporting both elderly individuals and those with learning disabilities throughout the district.
I dedicated 33 years to Warwickshire County Council until the homes were transferred to Runwood Homes in 2013. For the past 20 years, I’ve proudly served as the Manager at Orchard Blythe, part of the Runwood Homes group. Throughout my career, my focus has always been on delivering high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring our residents are at the heart of everything we do.
I have consistently worked hard to achieve strong CQC outcomes. At our last inspection, we were rated ‘Good’ in four areas and received an ‘Outstanding’ in Well-Led, something I am incredibly proud of. My goal at Orchard Blythe is to maintain or even exceed these standards.
On a personal note, I have two grown-up children. My son, now 37, is a Sergeant in the Royal Marines and has served since the age of 18. My daughter, aged 34, is a Team Leader at a fibre optics company. I am also a proud grandparent to two grandchildren, aged 13 and 6.
I’m Lisa Morgan, and I’ve been a cook for the past 28 years. I truly love my job and enjoy interacting with the residents, often being the first to dress up and get involved in activities. I take great pride in creating a positive atmosphere and engaging with everyone in the home.
In my spare time, I’ve learnt to knit, enjoy walking with my dog, and listen to music. I find these activities relaxing and fulfilling outside of my busy role.
I’ve been part of the team here for 6 years, and during that time, it has been incredibly rewarding to see the residents grow in confidence through activities, make new friends, and become a part of our close-knit community. I truly love being here and cherish the opportunity to work with such wonderful residents.
In my spare time, I enjoy going on holidays and exploring new places.
With over 22 years of experience in the care sector, I have dedicated my career to making a positive impact on the lives of others. Since joining Orchard Blythe in 2002, I have demonstrated unwavering commitment and passion for my work, starting as a domestic assistant and progressing to the role of Deputy Manager.
Over the years, I have gained invaluable experience by working across all departments within the home. This journey has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the various aspects of care, enabling me to support both residents and staff effectively.
I take great pride in being part of an extraordinary team that is devoted to delivering exceptional care and support to our residents. I firmly believe in promoting dignity and independence, and I am passionate about empowering my team to uphold these values every day. Creating a nurturing and compassionate environment is at the core of everything I do, and it’s a responsibility I hold close to my heart.
I joined Orchard Blythe in 2017 as a Finance Administrator, bringing with me over 30 years of experience in administration. With a background in nursing and occupational therapy, I offer a unique perspective that allows me to connect deeply with both staff and residents.
Before joining Orchard Blythe, I worked as an occupational therapist in an older people’s setting, where I developed a passion for improving the quality of life for seniors. In my current role as Senior Administrator, I manage the day-to-day administration and financial operations of the home, alongside offering support across our other Homes within the Region
My responsibilities include liaising with families, managing contracts, overseeing budgets, and coordinating financial reporting.
In addition to my administrative duties, I enjoy participating in activities with the residents, fostering a sense of community and connection. I believe that engaging with residents is essential in creating a warm and welcoming environment.
I am dedicated to my work and take great pride in my compassionate approach, which I feel makes me a valued member of the Orchard Blythe team.
