Mum is very happy at Orchard Blythe and despite the difficult times over the last year or so has coped extremely well and although her dementia is getting worse she is still encouraged to do things for herself and joins in with some of the activities. I am very pleased with her care and I know Mum is

Orchard Blythe care home is the ‘hidden gem’ of Coleshill. Our beautiful mother has been at Orchard Blythe now for 12-months, and it really is like a home from home. The staff are so caring and attentive, they do all they possibly can to make their residents feel at home, loved and appreciated. It was
an awfully difficult time for our family to accept that Mum could no longer be living independently at home, but thank heavens for the manager at Orchard Blythe, who took the time on a very long phone call to put our minds at rest and explained the life at Orchard Blythe for the residents. On visiting the home, our minds were immediately made up that this was the care home for our wonderful Mum. Many thanks to every single member of staff at Orchard Blythe for everything you do for our very precious Mum.

I am grateful for the care and respect my nan has received, especially through difficult times. My nan has received a lot of compassion and understanding, which is a big comfort to us. She enjoys the activities as well as her own space, and this is facilitated in a personalised manner. My nan says she
really enjoys the food, and the staff are lovely. It's hard to fault them when they have done so well through such difficulties.

I feel so blessed we found this lovely care home for my mom, it really is lovely and the staff are amazing and I never have to worry about the care mom is receiving. When we started to look at care homes for my mother-in-law we looked at many. Orchard Blythe instantly stood out. The home itself is welcoming, the atmosphere calm and inviting. The home manager and her staff are friendly, caring and compassionate and nothing is too much trouble. The fact that it has
several wings, we felt was a bonus, because each is like a home within a home, and this enables the residents to get to know people more easily.
The last few months have been incredibly difficult for everyone, but the dedication of the staff has been exceptional, and we cannot thank them enough for the caring, attention and protection they have given our family member. It has been very comforting to get the regular updates and to be able to talk to and see our family member using technology.

My mother, from the first minute she stepped into Orchard Blythe, has been given the best care ever. The staff work so hard and make sure my mother is well looked after. They can't do enough to give her the best quality of life. They help her with all day to day things dressing, washing, toileting,
and nothing is too much trouble. I cannot thank them enough for the fantastic care they give my mom 24/7, thank you so much! If you are looking for a care home for your loved one, don't hesitate in bringing them here. The staff care

My 92-year-old Aunt came into Orchard Blythe in December as a short term user between hospital and home, whilst there, it became more and more obvious that going home was not an option for her. The support and compassion shown by all the staff and the professional way all the residents are dealt with
are of such a high standard that my Aunt was more than happy to remain and now looks upon this care setting as her home. As a family, we cannot thank them enough for the care our Aunt receives.

From the moment we walked in, we knew we had found the best place for mom. We couldn't believe our luck when a place was available.
This is not just a care home, they are one big family and looked after mom so well.
Obviously putting your cherished parent in a care home is a very difficult decision,
but I can honestly say that the 4 years mom was there we knew she was in the best place. She always said she felt safe there. Her medical conditions were looked after really well, and she loved the staff there. Whenever we left, although we still felt guilty about leaving her, the staff were always brilliant and we knew she was in good care.
Sadly mom passed away from Septicaemia May 24th, the staff have been absolutely brilliant and are so upset too over our loss.
Not only are we heartbroken at losing mom, we feel like we have lost our extended family and will miss our visits to the staff too.
The manager and every single one of the staff are fantastic.

Mom has only been at Orchard Blythe since January, but in the time up until they went into lockdown Mom settled really well and is happy. This is a difficult time for everyone but the staff are doing a wonderful job and I can’t thank them enough, they are very kind and caring. When we get a FaceTime

Although this is the toughest time for everyone and even though I am extremely concerned about the impact Covid 19 is having on the home, its staff and residents, there is not one inch of me that feels my mom is not being cared for in the best and safest way possible in the circumstances. I have received
several phone app contacts, which show me she is well and I hope and pray this continues. My utmost admiration is given to the manager and all staff at this time for doing the best in terrible circumstances and I hope all stay safe and well.
A weekly update on how things are going maybe by email would be good, as I understand the pressure we are putting on you by ringing. As always cannot thank you enough.

My mother-in-law has been resident at Orchard Blythe since 1 January 2013 with severe dementia. I cannot speak highly enough of the manager and all her team in their care of her. Because of the circumstances, we were unable to move her closer to us (among other things she expressed a desire to stay
in the Midlands) and the Orchard Blythe team have become like her second family. The fact that so many of the carers have been working for Orchard Blythe throughout this period, shows the strength and quality of the leadership. They are professional but have endeavoured to make my mother-in-law feel at home. I know my mother-in-law has lived far longer than was expected because of the quality of care. Orchard Blythe always has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere when we visit. I would not hesitate to recommend Orchard Blythe to anyone who values truly outstanding care where the resident is treated as a member of the family.

Hayley Ford

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2005

I have been involved in care since the age of 16. My career began at Caldwell Grange in 1983, where I worked until I was 21, leaving briefly after the birth of my first son. I continued my journey in the care sector, supporting both elderly individuals and those with learning disabilities throughout the district.


I dedicated 33 years to Warwickshire County Council until the homes were transferred to Runwood Homes in 2013. For the past 20 years, I’ve proudly served as the Manager at Orchard Blythe, part of the Runwood Homes group. Throughout my career, my focus has always been on delivering high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring our residents are at the heart of everything we do.


I have consistently worked hard to achieve strong CQC outcomes. At our last inspection, we were rated ‘Good’ in four areas and received an ‘Outstanding’ in Well-Led, something I am incredibly proud of. My goal at Orchard Blythe is to maintain or even exceed these standards.


On a personal note, I have two grown-up children. My son, now 37, is a Sergeant in the Royal Marines and has served since the age of 18. My daughter, aged 34, is a Team Leader at a fibre optics company. I am also a proud grandparent to two grandchildren, aged 13 and 6.

I’m Lisa Morgan, and I’ve been a cook for the past 28 years. I truly love my job and enjoy interacting with the residents, often being the first to dress up and get involved in activities. I take great pride in creating a positive atmosphere and engaging with everyone in the home.

Before joining Orchard Blythe, I worked as an occupational therapist in an older people’s setting, where I developed a passion for improving the quality of life for seniors. In my current role as Finance Administrator, I manage the day-to-day financial operations of the home, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently.


My responsibilities include liaising with families, managing contracts, overseeing budgets, and coordinating financial reporting.


In addition to my administrative duties, I enjoy participating in activities with the residents, fostering a sense of community and connection. I believe that engaging with residents is essential in creating a warm and welcoming environment.


I am dedicated to my work and take great pride in my compassionate approach, which I feel makes me a valued member of the Orchard Blythe team.
