My mother came to Orchard Blythe in July 2016 from another care home due to a financial assessment from social services. From day one the general condition and the help the staff have given my mother to settle in has been excellent. On coming to see my mother I can feel the happy atmosphere that she
is living in. The home, in general, is excellent from the bedroom to the communal living area. My mother has settled well and is very happy here.

Myself and my husband are so pleased with Orchard Blythe. The staff are so nice and they really look after my mother-in-law. The care home is a lovely welcoming place, clean and bright. We feel happy every time we leave knowing that my mother-in-law is well looked after and that she is very happy and
settled and without the care of the excellent staff this would not be the case. Myself and my husband are very happy with the care home.

Mother was at Orchard Blythe for 4 and a half years, and died at the age of 96. Her care, throughout, was excellent. Staff were warm and friendly; even loving. The environment was homely with every effort made to integrate residents into the community and appropriate entertainment provided. In mom's
last days she was discharged from a brief stay in hospital back to the home at their insistence (something they were not obliged to do being a 'care' not 'nursing' home). The devoted attention shown by the staff during this period was way beyond the call of duty. Even the handyman came in to see her every day. We could not have hoped for a better going for mom.

I visited a friend at the above home and found the facilities and the staff wonderful, the staff was very helpful. The staff looked after my friend very well (he say's) and are very kind. I found the home very clean and comfortable and there was a nice smell unlike some nursing homes I've been in. They
were doing activities with the people as I left, all round a nice place for our elderly people to spend their final years!

Excellent care home. Caring, person centred, caring, committed, passionate staff are marvellous. The manager and deputy more than approachable. The food is fantastic, this home is superb.

Love and warmth and atmosphere is marvelous, so grateful to the love and care given to my mother at all times.
I feel the need to give a comment regarding deputy Manager. What a genuine committed well respected lady within Orchard Blythe. I was made too feel important and time did not matter this really
makes a good care home.

Hayley

Hayley Ford

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2005

I have been involved in care since the age of 16. My career began at Caldwell Grange in 1983, where I worked until I was 21, leaving briefly after the birth of my first son. I continued my journey in the care sector, supporting both elderly individuals and those with learning disabilities throughout the district.


I dedicated 33 years to Warwickshire County Council until the homes were transferred to Runwood Homes in 2013. For the past 20 years, I’ve proudly served as the Manager at Orchard Blythe, part of the Runwood Homes group. Throughout my career, my focus has always been on delivering high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring our residents are at the heart of everything we do.


I have consistently worked hard to achieve strong CQC outcomes. At our last inspection, we were rated ‘Good’ in four areas and received an ‘Outstanding’ in Well-Led, something I am incredibly proud of. My goal at Orchard Blythe is to maintain or even exceed these standards.


On a personal note, I have two grown-up children. My son, now 37, is a Sergeant in the Royal Marines and has served since the age of 18. My daughter, aged 34, is a Team Leader at a fibre optics company. I am also a proud grandparent to two grandchildren, aged 13 and 6.

Lisa Morgan

Job Title: Chef Joined: 1996

I’m Lisa Morgan, and I’ve been a cook for the past 28 years. I truly love my job and enjoy interacting with the residents, often being the first to dress up and get involved in activities. I take great pride in creating a positive atmosphere and engaging with everyone in the home.


In my spare time, I’ve learnt to knit, enjoy walking with my dog, and listen to music. I find these activities relaxing and fulfilling outside of my busy role.

I joined Orchard Blythe in 2017 as a Finance Administrator, bringing with me over 30 years of experience in administration. With a background in nursing and occupational therapy, I offer a unique perspective that allows me to connect deeply with both staff and residents.


Before joining Orchard Blythe, I worked as an occupational therapist in an older people’s setting, where I developed a passion for improving the quality of life for seniors. In my current role as Finance Administrator, I manage the day-to-day financial operations of the home, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently.


My responsibilities include liaising with families, managing contracts, overseeing budgets, and coordinating financial reporting.


In addition to my administrative duties, I enjoy participating in activities with the residents, fostering a sense of community and connection. I believe that engaging with residents is essential in creating a warm and welcoming environment.


I am dedicated to my work and take great pride in my compassionate approach, which I feel makes me a valued member of the Orchard Blythe team.
