Located in a quaint, residential area bordering Rugby town centre, Red House has been providing specialist dementia residential and day care for the over 65s for over 15 years. Red House has a reputation for being one of the best in Rugby, providing high-quality care to 23 ladies and gentlemen.

As well as 17 private rooms for older people and people with dementia, each with an ensuite, Red House also has three shared rooms; perfect for couples, or individuals who enjoy the extra space to relax. Residents are also encouraged to bring their personal items to create a 'home-from-home' environment, including any special pieces of furniture and even any small furry friends!

They are also happy to offer daycare at Red House. Support can be provided on a regular basis up to 7 days a week, or just the odd day where needed. Day Club offers a fun-filled time in a supportive and caring environment. They offer lots of new and exciting experiences for Day Club members, in addition to promoting and cultivating existing hobbies. They can also provide assistance getting ready for daycare and returning home, as well as transport to and from Red House with a fleet of electric cars!

A team of highly-qualified, caring and attentive staff focus on the individual personalities of each resident with a tailored care plan for each person. Their dedication and excellence can be observed across all aspects of care.

A varied social programme is available for residents which include visiting choirs, musical evenings, special events, themed lunches, as well as regular musical outings including reminiscence world and Musical Mick.

Prior to my mother arriving at the Red House, there were some delays and complications with the local authority. The Red House management was very patient and understanding and did everything that they could to help resolve the issues. My mother has now been at the Red House for about two weeks and she has been made to feel very welcome The staff take really good care of her and show her lots of love and affection and that is helping her to feel settled. I cannot praise the staff enough and when we visit, we are made to feel very welcome too.

My husband has Alzheimers, he is only 68 years old. He went into care in April. We, as a family were devastated. He took a while to settle, today he is in a good routine. He loves the staff.
Cannot fault the care and support. My husband is out most afternoons, never have a problem taking him back.

My mother has been a resident for nearly 3 years now and is very settled at Red House. She enjoys the food, the outings she goes on, the activities and the incoming entertainment visitors. Her health has been well monitored and, although her dementia has increased over the years, I know she appreciates the care with humour that she receives from the staff. The manager and staff have shown all of us nothing but kindness; any request is promptly and efficiently dealt with.

My wife has only been in the home for 5 weeks. My first impression was a little disappointing, the entrance was looking tired and in need of decoration. This, however, is made up for by the wonderful care provided. The carers all seem calm and helpful, the food is of a good standard and plenty of it. Her room is excellent with views over the garden which see loves. I spoke recently with the manager regarding my wife's progress and she produced a care plan that explained all the needs she required and her care history since she had been there. They have got to know her so well I could have written it myself.
One thing that would be very helpful is a sign outside with the home name on it!

Carers do an excellent job at Red House. My mother has been a resident since last December and we have no complaints whatsoever. Management is very good and my mother's needs have been fully met. The care and welfare of the residents are their main priorities.

The staff and management are excellent and provide a superb caring service to the residents and family alike. They go above and beyond to care for the residents. I am very impressed with the support offered to a number of clients for whom I am the appointee and manage their finances.

They provide a good environment and safe care for elderly residents with dementia and we have been very pleased with the care given to my mother. There does not seem to be a lot of activities - but we realise that she may not recall everything and so we may be misjudging this.

Very caring staff throughout the home; good personal care to residents, care is clearly based upon each residents particular needs. Staff are always cheerful and welcoming, home is clean and homely.

I have nothing but praise for the Red House and it's staff. Putting my mother into care was a difficult decision, but was the right thing to do. The staff are lovely and my mother is clearly happy and well looked after. The staff are courteous and friendly, and willing to answer any questions. The atmosphere is good and feels well managed. I'm glad that we chose this home.

My name is Steph Robson, Registered Manager of Red House. I want our home to be a companionable and fun place for all of our residents to live – a real home from home. I put my residents at the heart of everything I do. I believe in building on their strengths and tailoring our care to the needs of every individual.
We encourage our residents to be independent as far as possible, and to take an active role in the home. We help them to stay engaged with life in order to promote their self-esteem, give them purpose and make them feel valued.
