Id like to thank Wolaton grange for looking after my wife so well, I'd also like to thank the whole team for being so hands on for my wife and her needs. Her journey so far hasn't been the best since she became unwell, but finally seeing her happy and finally laughing with all the staff really is
a weight lifted. I feel her needs are completely met . It really is home from home.everyone is really welcoming and the emotional support for both my wife and the family is truly appreciated. I really really can not thank you enough for all your hard work, finally seeing her coming back to her true self really is amazing. Thank you so much to the manager and the assistant manager for all you do and continue to do .

Thank you so much for your kind words; they truly mean a lot to us. It's a privilege to care for your wife, and we're so glad to hear she's feeling more like herself again. Seeing her smile and laugh with the team is exactly why we do what we do. We know the journey hasn't been easy, so it's lovely to hear that you feel supported and at ease. Creating a home-from-home environment is so important to us, and we're grateful for your trust. On behalf of all the staff and me, thank you. We'll continue to do everything we can to support your wife and your family.

We found my nan needing a forever home to move to due to her health declining and cognitive state slowly declining and as a family we could no longer give her 24/7 care. This decision for my grandad was hard but now finally seeing her happy again and finally perking up , with some very hard work on
her mobility and confidence being built I believe my nan can have the best possible and all of this has been made happen by Wolston grange and my nan herself . They are a 10/10 care home . Hands on 24/7 there is always a warm welcome and help and support is provided for family members also . Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. It honestly feels like a home from home . It's so nice to have Nan back . Thank you so much for all support going forward with my Nan's journey.

Thank you so much for your lovely message. It means a great deal to us all at Wolston Grange. We know how hard the decision was for your family, and we're so pleased to hear your nan is feeling happier and more confident; it's exactly what we hope for every resident. Our team works hard to create a true home-from-home, so it's incredibly heart-warming to know that's how it feels to you. We're honoured to be part of your nan's journey and will continue to support her and your family every step of the way.

I have been very impressed with the care my uncle has received from the management and staff since he became a resident at the home. When we visit he is happy and has settled in well. The staff interact well with him and keep him stimulated. The staff are very friendly when we visit and keep us informed
of his well being on a regular basis.

Everyone at Wolston is looking after my mother very well. Although in the country, the peace and quiet suits her and many other residents well. The staff are all welcoming, friendly and do a brilliant job of looking after everyone, the residents spend a lot of time together so no-one is every lonely,
and they have sufficient activities to suit their needs. My mother appears very happy here and that is all I can ask for.

I cannot thank the management and carers enough for looking after my dad. Their care and compassion was refreshing to see and all of the residents are cared for extremely well. Unfortunately dad died but it was such a comfort to me and mum that he was in good hands. Hats off to you all - and trust me
I don't say that lightly!!!
I'm gonna miss visiting xx

Wolston Grange is a little isolated but this suited my Aunty who was born and bred in the country. She did not want or need a great deal of social interaction. Her needs were met and she was well treated. She had a good relationship with her carers.

Informative during yearly review update is good.
Finding communication usually not so good, I never know arranged functions at Wolston Grange which would be good to support when I can.
It's very important to have an update on anything that concerns my sister, health, bumps etc.

You should be proud of the way your company operates it's care homes. The standard of care is superb. It is as though you have selected staff by psychometric test. They all have this same calm, caring way of dealing with their guests. Staff here at Wolston are very caring and seem to have time for every
one of their guests. It is quality not quantity that shines through with Wolston. If you have the right people you provide the very best service. My wife's bedroom, the kitchen the day rooms were all of a superb standard, Thank you for caring for my wife.

Current Review Score: 8.4 (8.381)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.4 (8.381) out of 10 for Wolston Grange is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.4 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Wolston Grange is calculated as follows: ( (24 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 24 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.381 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Wolston Grange is based on 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 = 3.125
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 39 registered maximum number of service users is 7.8. 2 Positive Reviews ÷ 7.8 = 0.256
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
