It;s alright here. The staff are alright. The food is very nice. I have a big room which is very nice. Plenty to do here. I do steps daily, sometimes here in the car park or out with a member of staff. I watch television. I do word searches on the table or in my room. I get on well with all the other residents. I used to work in a supermarket so I help when the supermarket delivery's here and I arrange the menu on a Monday morning. My sister visits regularly.

Yes, I like here. I like a laugh. I go to woodwork on Fridays. Daddy and Mum visit and I go home to stay. I love jigsaws and on an iPad but I like to stay in bed. I like coffee in bed. I like football. I like beer. I like walking to town, shopping or cafe. A bus takes me to woodwork.

I like Apple House Care Home because I can play games, watch TV and I sing and play the guitar. I love my bedroom but I would like a bigger bedroom in the future, although I did use to have a bigger room and chose at the time to go smaller! I have a big butterfly painting on my wall which staff helped me make so if I have a bad dream I can look at it. I am a kind person and so are the staff. I am gluten-free and love curry. I do go out a lot with staff, we go shopping, to the cinema and eat out.

I like everything about here. My brother comes to visit once a fortnight. I like my room, I clean it every other week because I like cleaning. I go to a farm on Tuesday and clean out the animals and car washing is also done there. I go out a lot to the pub and bring food back to my home. I go to an allotment. I like being busy and I don't like holiday times because my activities stop but staff find me jobs. I like the staff. I enjoy all the food here including two cooked breakfasts a week. The staff are trying to organise for me to bake and cook here in the home.

I like living here and I am happy. I like the staff, particularly three members of staff, I take the 'mickey' out of them, we like to laugh. I go out with a staff member, including going to a bakery for a sausage roll and pasty. I like woodwork and making Christmas decorations and a canoe. I look forward to my birthday, one member of staff will arrange for me to go out for a meal. I like my bedroom and have a new bed. I like a shower. I like the food and there are only two of us that like curry, the staff bring one in especially for us which is nice.

A wonderful place, with carers, who are like angels.
It was difficult for me to fathom the genuine affection the carers placed on the residents in need.

I give all my blessings to all the carers at Apple House - god bless you all.

My uncle has been a resident at Apple House for over 20 years, he was not very happy for quite a few years. The old Apple House was dark, dingy and very unkept, residents were not motivated and mostly kept in their rooms. What a difference a few years makes now it is under new ownership/management and wonderful caring staff. My uncle now enjoys getting involved in all sorts of new activities, especially movie nights, and he loves dancing, he is well kept and looks really healthy now he is eating home-cooked meals, we love receiving newsletters (especially during these challenging times) with photographs of him celebrating birthdays, Halloween, Diwali, Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year. We cannot thank everyone at Apple House enough for their love, care and devotion to all their residents.

I have known many of the residents of Apple House for a long time as they are members of the Gateway Club which I help run on a Friday night at all Saint C of E school in Wigston. In the past, I have found Apple House to be a dark, dingy residence where I never felt welcome. It has changed so much since the new management took over, the residents are well cared for and much happier (they have told me this). The staff are very pleasant and I always feel welcome when I go there (obviously not at the moment).

I have visited a few times with young son. The staff are caring and the provider is so dedicated. Most importantly each and every resident is happy and well looked after. With all the horror stories you hear about care homes, Apple House is a breath of fresh air!

I visited a few times and each time has been very positive in my opinion. The care has always been person-centred. The home is now much brighter and it's great to see things such as sensory animals. The environment is very homely and feels relaxed.

The home is very geared up for service users needs. For example dementia-friendly equipment. This home is like one big family and staff have good relationships with the residents and understand their individual personalities. The home has recently updated and the residents are happy with the changes. Overall the residents look happy living at Apple House.

Apple House is such a warm and loving home. Always putting the care of the residents above anything else. In such a short space of time since having new owners, the improvements have been tremendous. The staff are so kind and go above and beyond. Could not recommend enough.

A lot of money has been spent to vastly improve the living environment. Service users have benefitted from access to the garden, which again has been improved.
The staff and management are friendly and very accommodating, and I am always informed about issues relating to my brother and his life.

Visiting is a positive experience. The staffing levels are much better under the new owners/managers.
