My mum has found it very difficult to settle in at this difficult time. The Carers and staff are all very kind and patient with her. When I ring the manager or the deputy manager they are always approachable and make time to speak to me. If they are not available they always ring me back which is not always the case with other residential homes I have dealt with.

My brother was discharged to The Lawns after three months in hospital. We chose The Lawns after a lot of research into various homes around the city. From the start, after we visited (with social distancing) we found all of the staff absolutely committed to great customer service, empathetic and caring, and just amazing people. The manager is a great leader and committed to delivering top-class services and this culture is demonstrated through everyone we have been in contact. Even the chef rang me to ask what my brother likes and sure enough that was delivered. We were sent photos of the food and his birthday celebration. The food is made so presentable as my brother needs pureed food - all looks appetising. My brother loves it there - he says the staff cannot do enough to help, nothing is too much, and residents are treated with dignity and respect. All a family needs is assurance that their loved one is looked after and cared for during their stay there. We found that here!

I have found the staff helpful and kind towards my father. The facilities are good and we have found the staff have been receptive when we have had suggestions for improvement. The present situation with CoVid-19 is difficult for my father because he has been unable to have visitors, but the staff have helped by enabling video calls.

All the carers and deputy manager at The Lawns are doing a fabulous job of caring for Mum in what is a very tricky time. Mum is very dependent and needs the carers to do pretty much everything for her; they are all so patient and caring and really try their hardest despite everything to give her the attention she requires.

The Lawns Residential Care Home is a home from home. From the moment you walk in the door, there is a warm welcome. The staff are lovely, genuine, dedicated people. The activities have something for everyone, the food is beautiful, in fact, it has a holiday, hotel atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, clean and advantageous if you are lucky enough to overlook the garden.

My father-in-law came to The Lawns for short-term respite care. He has always been adamant about wanting to stay in his own house for as long as possible. However, the care received at The Lawns and the excellent food, but most of all the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff, have completely changed his mind. He loves being pampered ('it is like a hotel here') and relishes the frequent opportunity for banter with the staff. I am very pleased to see him so happy again. Thank you.

My mum has stayed at The Lawns for respite care when we have a holiday. She is well looked after. She is on a number of meds which are administered on time and correctly. The Lawns gives us peace of mind.

We discovered The Lawns in 2017 and this was her fifth stay. Mum is always warmly welcomed and staff know her well - as she knows them. They are friendly and caring. The home offers en-suite accommodation, which is essential for mum, comfortable furniture, clean and bright. It has the look of a country house. Food is cooked fresh and her dietary needs are well catered for. The Lawns offers a calm, organised and friendly atmosphere. Staff are clearly identifiable by good uniforms that are easy to see.

My mum doesn't take part in activities or visit the dining room, lounges and gardens but there is a great range on offer, should she change her mind. I know that staff ask if she would like to join in which is good. Residents look well and know us now, so mum gets a warm welcome.

My mother is resident here and the care home provides a very homely environment with plenty of daily activities for the residents to take part in. There is an excellent choice of meals which can be had either in the restaurant or in their room depending on the individual's mobility.

All of the staff are very friendly and caring and I, therefore, feel happy that my mother is being well looked after.

This is the third time I have enjoyed a short stay at The Lawns. The location is close to family and friends and it gives me the opportunity to be with them for special occasions. The staff here are all very kind and it also gives my husband a couple of night’s respite. I felt warmly welcomed by staff (care, catering, hospitality) and residents who remembered me as well as by those who have come to The Lawns since my last visit. I was able to play Scrabble with one of the residents - it seems as if there is lot’s going on at The Lawns to make it feel like home. I should like to stay again if they will have me!

My Mother's care while at The Lawns, she was always treated with dignity. My Mother was a very private person and did not mix easily. The staff always respected that this was the way she was. When she needed assistance with walking a physio was requested, my very proud mother agreed she needed help and again when she became incontinent this was handled in the most caring way. The home always contacted the family if there were any problems. When Mum became ill they phoned me, straight away she had an End of Life Plan. I cannot thank the staff enough for the way I was supported during the last day of her life. They phoned me to tell me Mum had died. When I went to see her the staff had dressed her and her hair had been brushed and flowers on her chest. Words cannot express how grateful I am for the outstanding care my Mum received while at The Lawns.

I have had five weeks respite here and got almost back to normal after a nasty illness. The staff have all looked after me well and all are cheerful, kind and caring. I have enjoyed the meals which are varied, interesting. If I need to I shall certainly try to come back as I have been very satisfied and tell friends if the need arises.

My mother was resident at The Lawns for over four years. She became very ill during the summer and The Lawns provided end of life care. I have been happy with the level of care my mother has received throughout her residency, but the kindness and attention shown to her during the final few weeks of her life were exceptional. We chose The Lawns originally because it seemed a smaller, more personal care home, and our instinct proved right. The staff work hard to meet the needs of the residents and create a home from home atmosphere. As I am not local, the additional help with attending hospital appointments, shopping, and a general regard for her physical and mental welfare, which could otherwise so easily be missed, were particularly appreciated. I have noticed a real step up in general management in the last couple of years particularly. The kindness shown to me attending my mum during her final weeks of illness made all the difference during a very difficult time.

Since my father passed away at The Lawns Care Home in 2016, I have been a regular visitor to some of the long-term residents. I have always been made very welcome by all the staff - nothing is too much trouble both for residents and visitors. The Lawns Care Home is always clean with lots of different activities and care is excellent.
