It was the best decision he made to come to The Lawns, not an easy decision at the beginning but he feels like he is at home, comfortable and safe.
This makes us comfortable that he is looked so well.
Thank you to all the staff at The Lawns.
It is a care home and they cannot manage serious dementia or very ill people.
What a lovely, friendly and welcoming place. I visited with my nan as we are looking for some respite care for her in the near future. We were invited to have a look around and stay for lunch. All the staff were very friendly and the home manager showed us around the home and told us of all the facilities that are available. The lunch was absolutely fantastic. Just like being in a fancy restaurant with full table service. The quality of food was second to none. Compliments to the chef. After lunch, there was a quiz taking place and my nan was invited to join in with the other residents, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
The most homely home I've ever visited, so nice to see everyone enjoying activities and beautiful food. I've never seen so many visitors welcomed and greeted in a very professional and friendly way. My friend could not be happier.
Sadly she passed away unexpectedly, but the staff dealt with this difficult situation with great compassion and dignity. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home for short or long term care.
I have seen a remarkable change for the better since the the manager was engaged. The staff are so professional and much happier. My dearest friend lived at The Lawns and passed away at the grand age of 103 plus four months. All the very best to the Manager and the team at The Lawns.
My mum entered The Lawns in March 2016 and passed away on the 2nd of January 2017. The staff were marvellous to my mum and the family and especially me as I was there every day and when she died. They all loved her and treated her so well. I can't recommend them enough. The deputy manager is very caring, helpful and approachable.
Highly recommended.
I first came to the lawns in October 2012 after a serious illness the and attention was second to none and soon had me back to health. Another very bad illness early November last year brought me here again with the same results. The care and attention soon had me feeling well and this was a hard recovery. At present, I wish to stay in my own home and every help has been given to achieve this. Many thanks to all.
My mother has appreciated the personalised care where she is treated as an individual. The exercise classes have been her salvation ensuring that she has retained the limited mobility that she has. The Lawns feels like a home not a residential institution.
Like a 5 star hotel. Food amazing. All staff are kind and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. I know that my mum is getting the very best of care. Thank you to all the staff.
I was very wary and cynical of residential care homes but the staff and The Lawns itself have changed my opinion completely. My grandpa was treated with kindness, respect and dignity by each and every member of staff. When he was so poorly he wasn't alone and not only did the staff look after him so well they also looked after the rest of the family when we visited daily. They became friends. The building itself is spotless with wonderful facilities and activities for all residents. I would definitely, without any hesitation, recommend the Lawns to anyone needing care.
I visit a lot of care homes as part of my job and know the quality can vary hugely. So when I needed to find a home for mum I was delighted to find the Lawns. Six months on I am still very impressed. Delightful, clean homely accommodation, helpful caring staff who go the extra mile and a great activity programme. Mum has flourished here and is very pleased she made the move.
Came on Saturday for MS fundraising day, a great day was made to feel extremely welcome. The home is beautiful, clean and I was really impressed by the coffee bar in reception, the latte was lovely and the cakes were amazing. Nice to see a home raising money for others.
An excellent home, ideal for my aunt to spend the rest of her days. I would recommend The Lawns as an excellent care home.
A lovely home, warm atmosphere, very clean. Food excellent. The sum up - I would highly recommend The Lawns. Very happy my aunt is a resident.
I went to The Lawns in April for 19 days after having a blackout at home. My daughter rang the doctor and he said I needed complete rest and he recommended The Lawns. I was made welcome by all the staff, spoilt to death with TLC and fattened up like an Xmas turkey. Nothing was too much trouble for all the staff. I was glad of all this rest and attention, I came to The Lawns as a stranger and left as a friend. When it was time to leave, when my daughter came to pick me up, the carers lined up outside with kisses and waving Union Jack flags. All the carers were wonderful!!
Very nice. Cannot find any faults. Wish my husband could stay here on a permanent basis. He is happy and that makes me feel happy to know. Thank you all for your excellent support. I most certainly recommend to everybody The Lawns Leicester.
I am a nurse by background, work in the public sector and have looked at many homes. This is a great one! Thank to all the staff.
I enjoyed a very good stay at The Lawns Care Home after 6 weeks in hospital. The staff were very kind and caring. I enjoyed all the activities. The food was always excellent. I shall be returning in August for 2 weeks whilst my family are on holiday.
