The care in St John's is second to none. The residents are all cared for very well, they have activities every day, organised sing-alongs, various parties and outings. The staff look after the residents like they are their own family. My mother has never eaten so well, the meals are very good and varied.

If anyone is looking for a care home for a relative I would certainly recommend St John's. Every visitor is made very welcome.

My mother has been a resident since 30th December. She is a very independent woman who likes her own company and it has been a worry as to how she would settle. It would appear that she is beginning to settle. This in my opinion because of the quality of the premises and the very caring staff. Since she has been at St John's Care Home I have met a lot of the staff and from the manager, to all the carers I have to say they do a wonderful job under very difficult circumstances.

My grandparent is very happy in this home. They get days out and take part in many activities. The actual home is mainly in a good condition and rooms are light and airy. The downstairs lounge floor is looking tired and some rooms you pass in the corridor smell of urine, which in the past I've never smelt. The upstairs lounge is far nicer. Staff and family are invited to many events which is lovely. My only problem is that the receptionist has a few times ignored us trying to get into the building, as she was busy talking to someone else. This is really annoying when she can clearly see us at the door, ringing the bell! Care staff have let us in even though she is at her desk ... sometimes I like to nip in the home on my lunch hour for a quick visit but spend ages trying to get in.

I do not have access to the care home as much as I would like due to no transport, therefore, I have no comments. Apart from when I am called to the hospital after yet another accident, I do not see my family member very often. The staff do not always inform me of any problems. As I am next of kin. I feel somewhat pushed out. This could be improved.

Staff are always friendly and efficient and try their best in a sometimes difficult environment. No one wants their loved one to go into care but this establishment is a safe and secure and friendly second best to home life.

My Father has been a resident for 20 months. All the staff and management team should be highly commended.
The care and support for an elderly person is a difficult task for any family to deal with and St Johns have removed the worry and stresses this can cause.
All the elderly residents we have witnessed at St John's are treated with respect and their individual needs catered for.
It's great to know my father is in safe hands.

Many thanks from all our family goes to everyone at St John's for the continued, professional and caring attitude, you are special people to provide the care you do.

On the whole, I'm very pleased with the care my mother receives at St John's Care Home. Occasionally there is an episode which raises concern but that is due more to possessions and personal items than care and attention of my mother. I know she is well fed and cared for and that is most important.

My mother has received good care from the St John's Care Home and has received very responsive care when it has been needed. I have also been very happy to have had excellent communication between myself and the facility which is very important to me as I live half way around the world and cannot visit my mother on any regular basis. It is very comforting to me to have them keep me well informed when needed. I have even received photos and videos of Mum's birthday and Christmas celebrations at the home so I can see firsthand how she has spent her day at these celebratory times in her life.

I am comforted by St Johns' care of my mother and can rest easy knowing she is in good care.

The Staff at St John's Care Home go above & beyond what is expected of them, they are all very helpful, friendly, approachable and kind. I was very apprehensive when my Mother had to move to a care home, but I have no worries now, she has been at St John's since April 2016 and just recently my stepfather who was also a resident, sadly passed away, the staff could not have been more caring and supportive through this very difficult time.

My friend entered your establishment on 9th June from the hospital and was examined by your doctor and placed on "end of life" treatment and as such a very confused old lady was treated with gentle rest and compassion. In the 5 months she took to pass away my wife and I visited him 2/3 times a week and were always treated with kindness from management and staff. My friend's care and compassion was of the best! The home is run very well its standard of cleanliness is above reproach, as an eighty-six year old if needed I would wish to end up with you.
