Continue to be very impressed with the running of Ruckland Court in general, but in particular, the care and compassion shown to our relative whose health and condition is slowly deteriorating. Value the regular communication during this difficult period. We have confidence in the staff and our trust.

My family member's flat is very nice, with some of their own belongings from home to make it more personal. The care and understanding is excellent, even when times can be challenging. I am always being told what good food choice there is each day and that activities take place daily with staff support to join in.
Because of Covid-19, I have not seen my family member but they are able to phone at any time they wish. Staff phone to keep me informed and let me know what my family member needs.

They are always professional and friendly which is very reassuring at these hard times and I know my family member is in such good hands.

I have recently and unexpectedly required a placement for my father. This has been made more difficult given that we are only just coming out of 'lockdown'.
The manager could not have been more helpful in this quest, not to leave out the maintenance man, indeed all the staff I came into contact with.
The rooms provided, are second to none in that they replicate a home for the residents and not just a room in a care home.
The atmosphere was caring, very much family orientated and so reassuring for anyone who requires a place for their family member.

I could not recommend then high enough.

Very good residential home with the excellent caring staff at all levels. The home generally is in need of some renovation/updating thought. The residents are well treated and cared for and are in particular treated with dignity.

Mum has been a resident for 2 years. I am very happy with all aspects of care offered by the home. It is very family-friendly and the staff always are approachable. Mum has settled in well and loves living in the home. She is always treated with dignity and her choices of care respected. I have peace of mind that she is well cared for.

I find the staff very good and caring but there isn't enough of them as I have noticed more and more that it takes them longer to get the residents to the toilet and sometimes over 20 minutes which I don't think is fair. As for the activities, there really isn't any. My mum is supposed to have exercise but they don't do any anymore. I can only see one activity staff and she isn't full time. My mum is getting more and more fed up and going downhill, there just isn't enough staff.

Dad has settled in at Ruckland Court and adores the wonderful team that look after him. He enjoys the food and has started to tell jokes again. He helps in the garden during the summer months and he still gets to enjoy a pint with my brothers once a week. I enjoy visiting such a friendly environment.

Ruckland Court is a lovely home with staff who genuinely care. My dad has been a resident for over three years and has always received excellent care. He does complain about the food and lack of activities he would like to be involved in but that’s probably just him. The accommodation is spacious and gives a real home from home feel.

My mother has been resident now for over six months and during this time she has been extremely happy. The staff, both management and nursing, are all excellent and very caring.
Food is good and entertainment and activities are second to none.
Whilst here my mother has found friendship and lovely company.

My Mum has been a resident for the last 4 years and during this time her care and support has been like having a second family. A real home from home feel. The staff have bee excellent and nothing is too much trouble, often going over and above their duties. Sadly Mum passed away earlier this month and the care, support and dignity shown in her last few days was excellent. We can't thank the staff and management enough.

Ruckland Court is a very nice care home which is, clean and friendly. The staff are friendly and helpful. My mother only goes in for respite care but the staff are always welcoming and remember her name. The only problem I have is they keep losing my mothers clothes.

There is no comparison to the home that my Mother was in before. Ruckland Court exceeds all expectations than her previous care home. She is happy, joins in with the activities, something she would not have done previously. The standards of the home that we see when we visit are excellent and staff very friendly and helpful.

Ruckland Court looks after my mother very well. The rooms are always clean and tidy. However, the resident's lounge needs air conditioning putting in. The food is mostly fine but you possibly need another care assistant.

Ruckland Court staff have always been kind and helpful and the home and gardens increasingly attractive and interesting.
After a month in hospital my mother-in-law returned to Ruckland Court weak and confused. The staff have been exceptional in their care and welcome for her, giving her dignity and encouragement with attention to detail.

She is now gaining independence and strength and is renewing interest in activities.

When Mum returned to Ruckland Court after a spell in the Hospital, the staff could not have been more welcoming. They all seemed to stop and talk to her. They were by her side helping her regain confidence with her zimmer frame, pro-actively re-arranged the furniture in her room to make navigation easier for her and reduce the risk of falling against furniture, laying a pressure sensitive mat beside her bed so that staff would immediately be alerted if she got out of bed in the night. They were particularly attentive throughout her convalescence.

Mum responded well, becoming more engaged, joining in and initiating conversation again and made a determined effort to recover her walking.
