Collingtree Park is a residential care home in Northampton, with convenient access to the M1 for visitors. The home is set in the beautiful surroundings of Collingtree Park Golf Course and has leisure and shopping facilities nearby. The purpose-built home offers easy, modern and comfortable living, and landscaped gardens to the front and rear which are accessible to residents for fine-weather activities and outdoor socialising.

Collingtree Park provides residential care and support for a variety of needs relating to ageing and dementia. The highly motivated team focuses on the individual needs of residents, with personal care plans for each resident and a range of activities with something of interest to everyone.

Family and friends are welcome to visit anytime and take part in regular relatives' meetings where all ideas and suggestions are enthusiastically received by the General Manager.

Collingtree Park offers respite care which can be pre-booked up to a year in advance. All rooms are fully furnished, with en-suite facilities, and the lounges and dining areas have doors opening onto the lovely gardens.

When I came to look for care for Mum - Firstly I needed availability and once I viewed Collingtree Park I had a wonderful welcome. Mum settled well into her new home and moving forward I know she is in safe hands and I can approach any member of her team to discuss Mum's care needs.

The staff are very good, caring, kind, respectful and professional but at times there seems to be too few in numbers, which can lead to mishaps. There is a shortage of stimulating activities, particularly in memory lane or appears to be. Overall, it provides a good standard of care.

Before her death in November 2016 mum had been a resident at Collingtree Park for four years. She was always treated with respect, dignity and great care. All staff were friendly, caring and professionalism. The home was always clean and equally well cared for giving an excellent environment for residents.
As a family, we were always welcomed and supported. Mum could not have been in a better place, a real home from home.

I needed to find a home close to me for my Mum. Visiting eight homes was very distressing and I hated having to make a decision. When I turned up at Collingtree they were wonderful, offered informal but informed information, non-bias and were extremely helpful. Upon Mum's arrival, they were so supportive
and really made a difference to enable her to settle and become very content and happy. Probably as happy as she ever has been. Wonderful.

Having visited a number of care homes, my first impression when I visited Collingtree Park and met senior staff, carers and other support staff, was that this was the home would be perfect for my wife (later confirmed by other family members).
First impressions were proved to be fully justified. Although
unfortunately, my wife did not live long enough to fully enjoy all that was available. What I can say is that Collingtree Park provides an outstanding quality of care tailored to individual residents needs and I cannot speak too highly as to how they looked after my wife. Inspirational leadership from the top ensures commitment and team spirit that delivers care in a calm and pleasant atmosphere.

I spent a month at Barchester Collingtree Park Care Home in order to convalesce after a complex hip fracture. This was such a good experience for me. My room overlooked the pretty garden, food was a real treat every day and everyone was so kind, caring and supportive. I was able to invite friends to
join me for meals which was lovely. Barchester Collingtree Park Care Home residents were treated with respect and dignity. There was also a lot of laughter and genuine warmth in the care provided. I am now at home recovering slowly and learning to walk again.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. There was a bouquet of flowers to welcome my mother to their home which she loved, people to set up her television and to put up her pictures on the walls. Staff came and introduced themselves to her and to see if she needed anything. My mother said she felt like a
queen with all the attention she was getting which was a great start to her new life there and every day she gets the same attention which is wonderful. I feel extremely lucky that my mother has such a lovely home to live the rest of her life in.

I was not happy when I came to collect my husband. He was soaking wet with urine and did not smell very pleasant. He was wearing short pyjama bottoms underneath his trousers- no underpants! His shoes and socks were soaked as well. I know he had got clean underwear as I brought it back with me. I was
also disturbed that he appeared "drugged". He fell asleep as soon as he got into the car and slept most of the afternoon and evening which is most unusual for him.

We had responsibility of care of a friend who was admitted to Collingtree in June 2011. he had poor mobility but was of sound mind. She settled into life of "care" and was always very appreciative of the way she was helped and treated. The staff became her "friends". She had no immediate family but
had many friends who were able to visit whenever they wished. She was able to have her own telephone and television in her room. She always said "I'm as happy here as I could be other than in my own home"

My father has been living in Collingtree since November 2015, and has throughout his stay been treated with respect, dignity, friendliness and most importantly care. All staff and management take time to get to know their residents and their relatives which makes for professional and knowledgeable experience
for all. The food is of the highest standard with meals cooked on premises daily. Has this home a fault? well Barchester homes do charge at the top end of care home prices so therefore expectation in some areas can be difficult for the staff to meet, overall, I would still pay the costs to have my father an extremely comfortable life in this wonderful environment.

Excellent service. Staff very good, rooms are very roomy, en-suite in rooms very good, beds are changed every day. The food is made on the premises, fresh veg and of a good range of different food daily.

My mother receives excellent care, the staff are friendly, happy and always have time for us relatives. When mum had problems they worked closely with us to help her and minimise any stress. I was made very welcome on my initial visit and was able to see around the entire home. All my questions were answered fully and with understanding. We were invited to dinner for my husbands assessment and again the visit was handled with sensitivity and understanding. He has now started fortnightly
day care with respite care every 2 months. He is very happy to go which has given me (as his sole carer) peace of mind and a weight off my shoulders.

On arrival a very good reception, flowers in her room and a member of staff brought a tray of coffee/tea, nothing was left out. The staff very friendly and helpful, made mum feel very much at home.
The home is very clean and tidy. All activities available to all if wanted, hopefully mum will be able
to go again for respite in the year. Would recommend the home to anyone wanting full time care or respite care. 10 out of 10.

My name is Fay, and I bring 29 years of dedicated experience within the care sector. I began my career at 18 as a carer in a dementia-specialist home, where I quickly discovered my passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Over the years, I progressed through various roles — from Senior Carer to Deputy Manager — and by the age of 23, I was appointed as a Registered Home Manager.


In that role, I successfully managed a 64-bed home with over 90 staff, achieving full occupancy, a perfect 10 rating on carehome.co.uk, and receiving multiple industry awards. My commitment to excellence and team development led me to a broader operational role as an Operational Support Manager, where I travelled across the South East of England, supporting care homes with compliance, performance improvement, and leadership mentoring.


While I found the regional support role rewarding, I deeply missed the sense of connection and camaraderie that comes with leading a dedicated team in a care home setting. This brought me back to where my heart truly lies — applying once again for a Home Manager position, where I can lead by example, build strong relationships, and make a tangible difference in the lives of residents and staff.

Hello. I am Tamara, Second Chef at Collingtree Park. I have always loved cooking for myself and have developed my career in food since coming from Greece to the UK.


Collingtree Park feels like a big family - I cook with love, as I would for my own family. I research recipes online and try them at home to get them just right for our residents. I like cooking main courses, making them attractive, hearty and full of flavour. I am already working on menus for next season.


I can adapt any of my recipes for people with allergies or swallowing difficulties, so they can enjoy the same flavours as everyone else.

I have joined the Barchester family as the Home Administrator at Collingtree Park in Aug 2025. I bring with me over 25 years of experience in Healthcare and Hospitality Management, having worked across various departments, including Finance, HR, Administration, and customer-facing services.


My recent experience includes working within specialist mental health hospitals, nursing and residential homes, as well as the NHS, where I’ve developed a strong understanding of both Administrative and operational needs in healthcare settings. I’m passionate about ensuring smooth administrative operations and providing high-quality support to both staff and residents.


I look forward to contributing to the continued success of Collingtree Park and supporting our team in delivering excellent care.
