Belvoir Vale is situated in Widmerpool, just off the A46 and is registered to provide residential and dementia residential care for up to 62 residents.

The home is designed as a care village incorporating three care homes in grounds of over two acres. The purpose built care homes are ground floor, with all bedrooms having en-suite facilities.

Belvoir Vale has a number of comfortable seating areas, dining rooms, a hair dressing salon and beautiful landscaped gardens. Rutland House is a dementia specialist wing and has a 'memory café', sweet shop and garden room, for residents and visitors to enjoy.

My aunt became a resident at Belvoir Vale at very short notice following a fall and subsequent discharge from the hospital. The management is very empathetic and understanding. The care my aunt received for latter-stage dementia was reassuringly good. Some members of the team were excellent and went
the extra mile in terms of kindness and care. Following my aunt's death we were treated again with much kindness and respect.

Belvoir Vale is a very friendly and homely care home. The staff are very welcoming and efficient and really seem to care for the residents. There are also many activities organised for residents who wish to participate. The food is homemade and looks delicious.

Our mother needed some quality food, attention, physio and care after a broken femur in December. Finding Belvoir Vale was just amazing. We are very pleased with her care, all the team are beyond brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble. We call and speak to Mum on the phone if we don't have time to visit,
I feel bad calling when everyone is so busy, it's never a problem. Attention to detail is remarkable. Mum even has poached eggs on lovely toast for breakfast, in her words, better than she would have made herself! Well done team, Mum is getting stronger every day.

Mum had a prolonged period in hospital after a fall and moved into Belvoir Vale initially for some respite care. From the very start, the staff were welcoming. warm and caring. We feel great reassurance that she is well looked after and safe. Everyone is so friendly and willing to help. A really lovely

The staff at Belvoir Vale have made mum feel so welcome and cared for as a new resident. The meals are very good and the staff cater for all needs. There are regular activities and trips out that mum enjoys and they also arrange many events on special calendar dates. The staff always seem to find the
time to chat with mum and her family even with their busy schedules. I feel Belvoir Vale is very homely whilst still being professional and highly organised.

Felt at 'home' as soon I walked in. I knew right away this was the place for my mother. I cannot praise the staff highly enough for their kindness during the last days of mums life. All people closest to her that visited were treated wonderfully, with nothing too much trouble, and the cups of tea and
sandwiches kept us going. Even found the time to make her great-granddaughter feel special and included. So grateful to you all.

My mother arrived at Belvoir Vale in January 2021 during one of the Covid lockdowns. This was an incredibly difficult time for places like Belvoir Vale, the staff and managers were nothing short of heroic. The staff quickly recognised that mum needed to be in the unit that offered specialist dementia
care and moved her to a lovely bedroom. They also quickly recognised that the best way to treat mum was with humour, affection and laughter and as a result, mum's final 18 months were as happy as they could have been. We have nothing but praise for them.

My father was looked after here for four years, including throughout the pandemic. He was kept clean, tidy, well fed and his emotional needs met, even when Alzheimer's made his behavior difficult. It has been a difficult time for all, but the staff helped us all cope.

My mother was in the care home for two years. Unfortunately, it was during the Covid-19 epidemic, so we did not experience the care home in the normal way, so I have based my responses on the reduced amount of contacts/visits we had. The end-of-life care my mum received and the support/access we as
a family were given were excellent, and we're truly grateful for that. Also, we knew Mum was being cared for well during lockdown.

I was impressed from the outset by the friendliness of the staff and the cheerful air of the home. My husband settled in very quickly and told me he really enjoyed the food. The staff liked him and made his three months in here as good for him - and me - as possible.

My dad went to Belvoir Vale Care Home in July 2018 when my mum passed away, we didn't realise how bad his dementia had taken over him. As a family and myself personally, I always felt my dad was safe and well cared for. It was not an easy decision but the staff always had a laugh and a joke with him
and there was someone there for him 24/7 which put our minds at ease. As a family, we would just like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you for your care and compassion for our dad who sadly passed away in May 2022.

Mum came for a week of respite, primarily for a 'holiday' with her sister. Her memory is very sketchy (dementia) but she consistently and frequently told us how fantastic all the staff were. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and I witnessed this myself at drop-off and pick-up. A team of truly dedicated
staff. We felt Mum was really well looked after, they went above and beyond and for that, we are very grateful.

A beautifully kept home inside and outside. My mum has been a resident since July 2021, she is happy and contented. All the staff are smart and full of smiles. One can ask any questions and it will be sorted out. The home is like one big family and all the staff carry out their duties with great respect
and care. I would not like my mum to be anywhere else.

A friendly homely feel to the place. All the staff are approachable and friendly. Nothing really is too much trouble. Though my friend has been a little unstable both physically and mentally at times, the situation we all find ourselves in is mainly to blame. Let's hope normal life resumes soon.

My lovely dad initially went to Belvoir Vale for respite to give my mum a much-needed break but he settled in so quickly that we made his stay permanent due to the quality of care available from all the staff. During these difficult times, the staff went above and beyond to make window visits possible
for which we have been incredibly grateful. Although sadly my dad's time at Belvoir has been cut short my family have been hugely comforted by everyone who has cared for him right up to the end. Thank you to all the staff and managers for everything you did for my dad.
