My mother arrived at Belvoir Vale in January 2021 during one of the Covid lockdowns. This was an incredibly difficult time for places like Belvoir Vale, the staff and managers were nothing short of heroic. The staff quickly recognised that mum needed to be in the unit that offered specialist dementia care and moved her to a lovely bedroom. They also quickly recognised that the best way to treat mum was with humour, affection and laughter and as a result, mum's final 18 months were as happy as they could have been. We have nothing but praise for them.

My father was looked after here for four years, including throughout the pandemic. He was kept clean, tidy, well fed and his emotional needs met, even when Alzheimer's made his behavior difficult. It has been a difficult time for all, but the staff helped us all cope.

My mother was in the care home for two years. Unfortunately, it was during the Covid-19 epidemic, so we did not experience the care home in the normal way, so I have based my responses on the reduced amount of contacts/visits we had. The end-of-life care my mum received and the support/access we as a family were given were excellent, and we're truly grateful for that. Also, we knew Mum was being cared for well during lockdown.

I was impressed from the outset by the friendliness of the staff and the cheerful air of the home. My husband settled in very quickly and told me he really enjoyed the food. The staff liked him and made his three months in here as good for him - and me - as possible.

My dad went to Belvoir Vale Care Home in July 2018 when my mum passed away, we didn't realise how bad his dementia had taken over him. As a family and myself personally, I always felt my dad was safe and well cared for. It was not an easy decision but the staff always had a laugh and a joke with him and there was someone there for him 24/7 which put our minds at ease. As a family, we would just like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you for your care and compassion for our dad who sadly passed away in May 2022.

Mum came for a week of respite, primarily for a 'holiday' with her sister. Her memory is very sketchy (dementia) but she consistently and frequently told us how fantastic all the staff were. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and I witnessed this myself at drop-off and pick-up. A team of truly dedicated staff. We felt Mum was really well looked after, they went above and beyond and for that, we are very grateful.

This is the second time my mum has been into Belvoir Vale for respite. All the staff that works in Belvoir Vale have been extremely kind and caring to my mum and all the family. This has made my mum much calmer, whenever we go in the atmosphere is always nice. My mum has also put on weight and is in good spirits. Thank you.

A beautifully kept home inside and outside. My mum has been a resident since July 2021, she is happy and contented. All the staff are smart and full of smiles. One can ask any questions and it will be sorted out. The home is like one big family and all the staff carry out their duties with great respect and care. I would not like my mum to be anywhere else.

A friendly homely feel to the place. All the staff are approachable and friendly. Nothing really is too much trouble. Though my friend has been a little unstable both physically and mentally at times, the situation we all find ourselves in is mainly to blame. Let's hope normal life resumes soon.

My lovely dad initially went to Belvoir Vale for respite to give my mum a much-needed break but he settled in so quickly that we made his stay permanent due to the quality of care available from all the staff. During these difficult times, the staff went above and beyond to make window visits possible for which we have been incredibly grateful. Although sadly my dad's time at Belvoir has been cut short my family have been hugely comforted by everyone who has cared for him right up to the end. Thank you to all the staff and managers for everything you did for my dad.

Designed for purpose. No steps. Room easy to find. Very helpful staff, east to call. Adequate food and drinks, comfortable chair and beds.
Lighting fair - not always easy to read unless sitting near window.

The table in my room was rather unstable. Given need, I will choose this care home before others I have used.

The manager and staff take amazing care of my Dad. He has been there for over 18 months and I am impressed with the care he has received from the management, care staff, housekeeping and catering staff. They are very friendly and helpful and have helped Dad and me and my sister through some difficult times. I am very pleased we found this care home for Dad.

The Belvoir Vale care home has been the best possible place for our Dad. He has truly wonderful care from all the staff and team members. Management is so kind and caring plus accessible. There's so much love in the air. You hear reassurance, kindness and giggles around as you visit. Everyone works so hard on everyone's behalf. Every time we raise a query it's handled well. Everyone is responsive to Dad and knows him as a person. His condition means it can be taxing at times and yet he receives constant caring and loving attention. He's a gentleman at core and it brings out the best in him. We've been even more impressed and grateful during this Corona Virus situation. We are so grateful to the staff for all they've done and are doing. We feel so lucky that Dad is being cared for here. Amazing place.

While the coronavirus crisis is happening, I am unable to visit mum and this is a good thing. The home is keeping us informed of how they are doing with weekly emails and this is very reassuring. I would like to thank the dedicated staff for this, as it means I can be in lockdown without worrying about her.

Belvoir Vale is just lovely! When you walk in it is more like a country hotel than a care home - with definitely no iffy smells. The staff are all kind, friendly, gentle and very good at their jobs. The chefs produce varied and nutritious meals and cater for individual tastes. Activities are numerous and entertaining. My brothers and I are happy that mum is happy here.
