My dad came into Clipstone Hall & Lodge in December was ill and giving up. The doctors said he was on end of life but now with good care he's a different person, still confused but putting on a bit of weight, he's well fed clean and tidy and safe. It gives us peace of mind. The staff are lovely and welcoming so are management too. I feel better knowing my dads ok so thank you Management and staff at Clipstone Hall & Lodge.

Overall Experience

My wife was in the care home for a respite break, this was her (our) first time of experiencing this aspect of 'caring' and I admit I was a little apprehensive as we have never really 'done apart'. Wow! We have been so happy during her stay. The care home is brilliantly run, all the staff are excellent. The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed and this creates a lovely feeling of 'family'. The staff are totally focused and professional in their work with nothing being too much trouble. The catering is of a very high standard, food is wholesome, tasty and is prepared and served very well. It has been a very reassuring stay for my wife and myself. We have been treated most courtesously but most importantly this experience has seen a very positive change to my wife's general health and attitude. Thank you so much.

The home and its staff were exemplary in their care of my mother in law who has moderate dementia.

She was not happy to have to be there for respite but they handled her with patience and diplomacy.

She loved the food and for the first time in a year actually gained a couple of pounds. Her room was clean and spacious with plenty of storage. We supplied her with a TV in the room.

She loved that the staff all spoke when they saw her that they have a smoking area outside and she was able to have her hair done weekly.

We appreciated that she was safe and well cared for.

My father has been a resident at Clipstone Hall & Lodge now for several months, and as of yet, I have nothing but praise for all of the staff involved in his care. He has settled in very well, which is a big relief to all the family. A special thank you to the door lady and the nurse.

Before my mother came to Clipstone Hall & Lodge, I was given advice on procedures. Communications between myself and the admin staff were excellent. (My mother was being transferred from another home). The rooms are good sizes and furnished adequately. The food is of a high standard wtih a good variety of menus daily. My mother has never been a people person, but the staff are encouraging and always engage with her. She now classes Clipstone as her home where as before she always wanted to live somewhere else. I had been recommended Clipstone from a friend who's husband resided there. Compared to other homes Clipstone is good value for money!
