Sutton Court Residential Home has a relaxing atmosphere that is also ideal for quality care to be practiced, suited to each individual.

A show bedroom is located on the first floor of at Sutton Court where residents are able to view a wide range of carpets, paints, soft furnishings, fabrics and furniture which are available for them to choose from should they decide to take a room in one of their Nottinghamshire homes on a long term basis.

After visiting my mum back in May because I live in northern ireland I was highly pleased with how my mum was cared for and feel at ease knowing I cannot visit my mum everyday.Well done to all the staff on their hard work and caring staff.

Dad has recently moved into Sutton Court following a "not nice" experience elsewhere. The onboarding was very comfortable for dad and family. He has settled extremely well and had a nice experience here. There are many activities to help dad divert his mind.

I can't thank all the staff from the manager down to the kitchen for the wonderful time I spent in Sutton Manor for rehabilitation after a hip replacement. All the carers were fantastic and always at hand to help and with a happy smile, the manager was always on hand if you had a problem. I couldn't
have wanted to be anywhere else but Sutton Manor.

We couldn't be happier with the care here. The manager, deputy manager, rehabilitation coordinator, carers, kitchen and maintenance staff are all very kind. The activities co-ordinators are exceptional. There is an amazing programme, something is happening every morning and afternoon. Mum loves the
flower arranging, book club, watercolour painting, photography, arts and crafts, gardening, singing with the choir, sports, visiting singers..to name but a few. There is even a disco every Friday night! We have loved going to the onsite pub and tea room with our close family. There are also occasional outings.
There is flexibility in most things, like bedtimes and meals in her room with family.
We really feel that everyone sees Mum as an individual and is interested in getting to know about her and her past life. She is made to feel very special. Every effort is made to keep her feeling happy.
This difficult transition for Mum, has been handled with great understanding and sensitivity.

Since my husband moved into Sutton Court Residential Home he has had excellent care. All the staff are kind, caring and understanding.
He has got to know them and they have got to know him, which is very very reassuring.

The first couple of weeks were very unsettling for Mum and her family, however, the staff were very supportive and looked after Mum as well as expected working under pressure from long hours and the amount of patients being admitted. All staff were extremely helpful at all times and are commended for

I would highly recommend the Sutton Court Residential Home for the care given to my mother. The staff are amazing, they are all so pleasant with a wonderful attitude to their work. Also, I can discuss anything with them, they always make time to listen, even when busy.
The residents are always encouraged
to participate in activities and there always seems to be something organised to keep them happy, especially with a particular staff member who is lovely - I really have peace of mind.

Mum is extremely happy, she is very well cared for. The staff are excellent, always attentive, considerate and deliver care with a smile.
Mum eats very well and her weight has increased considerably.
Mum's happy therefore we are happy.

The staff are always lovely with the residents, who all appear to be happy and well looked after. There is always something happening, providing a varied itinerary of entertainment.

Can't fault any of the staff, especially a particular member of staff she goes the extra mile for me, as in taking me shopping and taking me out on trips, she will do anything for me. The manager will also go the extra mile. The food is fantastic and the home is always a cheerful place.

Since my father came to Sutton Court I have nothing but praise for all the staff. I have found all the staff including carers, receptionists, cleaning staff, managers and catering staff to be very helpful. As a family, we are relieved and happy that my father is getting all the care he needs. I am always
fully informed of any changes in his status and kept well informed. He loves taking part in activities which include quizzes, bingo, arts and crafts and days out The list is endless. All the staff have been very welcoming to my mother and me. I have no hesitation in recommending Sutton Court to anyone's parents or relatives needing care.

I consider this place to be neglectful. The staff were on short supply and over worked. We found their responsiveness to requests to be very poor. There was a lack of supervision of vulnerable residents. The activities coordinator appears to try really hard but activities are not always accessible to
all and facilities are not utilised well. Rooms are okay, although our experience was that the room did not match needs despite management reassurance. Food appears well prepared but I did not observe residents being supported to ensure they ate/enjoyed their meals despite obviously needing support. Senior staff do not portray any sense of direction or supervision or junior staff. Basic care needs are very lacking here. This place hides behind its advertised facilities. It is all smoke and mirrors - beware! They really do need to concentrate on basic care, and get that right. I would not recommend this care home under any circumstances. I would rate it zero if I could.

My mother-in-law can be very difficult and demanding, but the carers always seem to know what to say to calm the situation. She is always dressed well, and clean, hair and nails always look good. There are many activities which she enjoys joining in.

I am so impressed by the quality of the care home, the setup and most importantly, the staff.
From our initial visit, we were immediately reassured that this was a caring and high-quality home, totally based on the happiness and care of the residents. All the residents we have met all seem calm and
happy and to have a good relationship with the staff.
The layout of the home makes this such a safe and reassuring environment for the residents and daycare users, with additional services such as the hairdresser, nail bar, tea room and pub making such a difference in the continuation of normal life and routines.
The attention to detail, the activities, such a diverse range and the facilities all make it clear to us that we have found where we need for the rest of our ongoing care needs. Was such a weight off our minds when we found this lovely, lovely home.

My grandad is a resident of Sutton Court and I just want to send my utmost thanks and gratitude to all the lovely staff for their kindness, respect and love you give him. My grandma visits every day and you make her feel so welcomed and loved as well. It gives me and our family such an amazing feeling
that he is looked after and feels part of an extended family. Thank you Sutton Court for everything. From a granddaughter who loves her grandad more than anything in this world.

My brother was in your care for about a week and arrived home this afternoon. I attended to transfer him from his wheelchair to find he was soaked through to the extent his pad was starting to disintegrate. His bottoms and top were also soaked, so he had been sitting in this mess for a while. He also
had smearing on his pad and stated he had had his bowels open, so obviously was not cleaned afterwards.
He was sent with a support bandage to prevent his splint from rubbing his leg and on visiting him I asked staff to ensure it was applied. This did not happen and he has arrived home without this preventative measure.

I have found all the staff at Sutton Court very friendly and professional towards myself but most importantly my mother and all other residents. My mum has settled in well due to the way all the staff treat her, care for her and involve her in all the activities in her day-to-day life. My mum can be
a little hard to deal with at meal times but this is dealt with easily with the understanding staff. Overall a great place for mum.

Awful service. Left my parents here for two weeks, and had to fetch them home after one. They were neglectful and their internal investigation was a disgrace in my opinion. Please be careful if your family member resides here. There is so much more I could say.

Paula has worked for Ashmere for over 20 years and has been promoted through the ranks. She is the most highly qualified manager within the group having achieved her social care level 7. Paula has also achieved the converted Dementia Quality Mark at Sutton Court.


She has managed two of the homes on the Nottinghamshire site and was promoted in 2021 to be the manager of Sutton Court (the biggest of the Ashmere Homes).
