The stay at Sutton Court proved to be very positive. I cannot speak too highly about all experiences whilst in Sutton Court the staff were thoughtful, considerate and most attentive. Visitors were welcomed. The day to day organisation was outstanding the level of commitment from all staff was excellent. Involvement through chat and activities was very good and I would have no reservation in recommending this home.

Sutton Court is an outstanding care home who have a love, passion and dedication for the care of my mum. She is happy and is fond of all the staff, from cleaning to kitchen, carers, seniors, managers and activity coordinators. The home is clean, professional and friendly. The care they give is 2nd to none, outstanding. They know my mum so well and are sensitive to her needs and wants. Keep on doing what you do best, "outstanding care and love"

Dad has recently moved into Sutton Court following a "not nice" experience elsewhere. The onboarding was very comfortable for dad and family. He has settled extremely well and had a nice experience here. There are many activities to help dad divert his mind.

I can't thank all the staff from the manager down to the kitchen for the wonderful time I spent in Sutton Manor for rehabilitation after a hip replacement. All the carers were fantastic and always at hand to help and with a happy smile, the manager was always on hand if you had a problem. I couldn't have wanted to be anywhere else but Sutton Manor.

We couldn't be happier with the care here. The manager, deputy manager, rehabilitation coordinator, carers, kitchen and maintenance staff are all very kind. The activities co-ordinators are exceptional. There is an amazing programme, something is happening every morning and afternoon. Mum loves the flower arranging, book club, watercolour painting, photography, arts and crafts, gardening, singing with the choir, sports, visiting singers..to name but a few. There is even a disco every Friday night! We have loved going to the onsite pub and tea room with our close family. There are also occasional outings.
There is flexibility in most things, like bedtimes and meals in her room with family.
We really feel that everyone sees Mum as an individual and is interested in getting to know about her and her past life. She is made to feel very special. Every effort is made to keep her feeling happy.

This difficult transition for Mum, has been handled with great understanding and sensitivity.

The first couple of weeks were very unsettling for Mum and her family, however, the staff were very supportive and looked after Mum as well as expected working under pressure from long hours and the amount of patients being admitted. All staff were extremely helpful at all times and are commended for their care and commitment to all residents and families.

I would highly recommend the Sutton Court Residential Home for the care given to my mother. The staff are amazing, they are all so pleasant with a wonderful attitude to their work. Also, I can discuss anything with them, they always make time to listen, even when busy.

The residents are always encouraged to participate in activities and there always seems to be something organised to keep them happy, especially with a particular staff member who is lovely - I really have peace of mind.

Can't fault any of the staff, especially a particular member of staff she goes the extra mile for me, as in taking me shopping and taking me out on trips, she will do anything for me. The manager will also go the extra mile. The food is fantastic and the home is always a cheerful place.

Since my father came to Sutton Court I have nothing but praise for all the staff. I have found all the staff including carers, receptionists, cleaning staff, managers and catering staff to be very helpful. As a family, we are relieved and happy that my father is getting all the care he needs. I am always fully informed of any changes in his status and kept well informed. He loves taking part in activities which include quizzes, bingo, arts and crafts and days out The list is endless. All the staff have been very welcoming to my mother and me. I have no hesitation in recommending Sutton Court to anyone's parents or relatives needing care.

I consider this place to be neglectful. The staff were on short supply and over worked. We found their responsiveness to requests to be very poor. There was a lack of supervision of vulnerable residents. The activities coordinator appears to try really hard but activities are not always accessible to all and facilities are not utilised well. Rooms are okay, although our experience was that the room did not match needs despite management reassurance. Food appears well prepared but I did not observe residents being supported to ensure they ate/enjoyed their meals despite obviously needing support. Senior staff do not portray any sense of direction or supervision or junior staff. Basic care needs are very lacking here. This place hides behind its advertised facilities. It is all smoke and mirrors - beware! They really do need to concentrate on basic care, and get that right. I would not recommend this care home under any circumstances. I would rate it zero if I could.

Your review is incredibly disappointing and is not reflective of the high levels of care we offer our residents. Comments regarding support at mealtimes is categorically untrue. We are deeply sorry that you felt necessary to publicly voice your concerns as opposed to following our complaints procedure.

My mother-in-law can be very difficult and demanding, but the carers always seem to know what to say to calm the situation. She is always dressed well, and clean, hair and nails always look good. There are many activities which she enjoys joining in.

I am so impressed by the quality of the care home, the setup and most importantly, the staff.
From our initial visit, we were immediately reassured that this was a caring and high-quality home, totally based on the happiness and care of the residents. All the residents we have met all seem calm and happy and to have a good relationship with the staff.
The layout of the home makes this such a safe and reassuring environment for the residents and daycare users, with additional services such as the hairdresser, nail bar, tea room and pub making such a difference in the continuation of normal life and routines.

The attention to detail, the activities, such a diverse range and the facilities all make it clear to us that we have found where we need for the rest of our ongoing care needs. Was such a weight off our minds when we found this lovely, lovely home.
