Overall Experience

My mother was an emergency admission from the hospital just before Christmas during the lockdown. The manager was very kind and efficiently liaised with the hospital and social services to effect a quick transfer. Initially, Mother was confused and uncooperative due to her transfer and mental condition (dementia), and I was very impressed with the caring, kindness and sympathy of all the staff in dealing with her trauma. I am amazed at how quickly she has adapted and settled down and is now very happy there.

This is an incredible care home. The staff are excellent in every way, and we, as a family, cannot fault the care given to our Mum.
Mum was discharged to Sutton Court from the hospital, and she spent the last few weeks of her life, happy, comfortable and surrounded by very caring and empathetic staff who gave the care she required very efficiently and without question. We are so pleased she ended her days in such a loving and friendly environment.

Thank you to every member of staff involved... management, carers, cleaners, cooks, laundry and maintenance staff who all work hard to make the home the brilliant place it is.

I am so grateful to all the staff at this home. My mamma is so well looked after day-in-day-out. We couldn't wish for her to be in a better place. We are lucky to have found such an incredible home for her. Cannot thank everyone enough for the love and care you give to everyone even more so during these difficult times. Thank you.

My Aunty was in Sutton Court for 1 year, 1 month and in all that time she was very well looked after. It was just like a family. She had friends and the girls and boys as I call them were so loving to her and ti was first class in cleanliness. Very safe and value for money.

My mother lived in Sutton Court for five years. At all times, she was well looked after by caring staff who always had time to have a laugh with her. During the last two weeks of her life, she became unwell. I was impressed by how gentle and caring the staff were. They treated her as kindly as if she were one of their own relatives. Thank you so much. It was much more attentive care than if my mum had been in hospital.

The care received at Sutton Court Residential Home is very professional in identifying that when my mother went in for respite care, that social services were not meeting my mother's needs adequately. Communication is excellent between staff and family of residents and the overall care is tailored to individual needs, with bespoke care.

I attend the lunch club every week. The staff are very kind and considerate. We have a hot drink when we arrive. The lunch and putting are always really nice. We also have a raffle and bingo, then a drink and cake before leaving. Everyone loves coming and it is so friendly.

Mum has been a resident for 1 year now. Her special dietary needs are met without fail and the food is perfect for her. She is always well dressed, with her hair and nails attended to and her clothes are clean and matched with care and attention. I have seen staff show wonderful care and compassion to residents, holding their hands and even a dance! Any medical concerns have received immediate attention and swift referral to the GP. Management is very approachable and well organised, inspiring confidence for the family I know my mum is in safe, caring hands.

Mum suffers from dementia and came here for daycare for a long time before moving in full time. She feels comfortable here, as all the staff and surroundings are familiar.

The staff are lovely, and the rooms very well furnished. Also everywhere always smells fresh and clean.

Mum especially enjoys the activities and musical afternoons. Also there is a very pretty courtyard garden with rabbits and guinea pigs and birds.

My mother has now been in Sutton Court Residential Home for 12 months, over this period whatever issues/problems have arisen these have been dealt with promptly by the staff. I cannot thank the carers enough for the hard work and dedication given to residents. Management should take on board all comments given regarding the good and hard work they face, these people would be very hard to replace. Thank you carers.
