Sutton Court Residential Home has a relaxing atmosphere that is also ideal for quality care to be practiced, suited to each individual.

It sits in beautiful landscaped gardens and also has an enclosed inner courtyard that has been specifically designed for relaxation where residents and families can enjoy peace and security.

Residents are encouraged to be as independent as possible but assisted where difficulties occur, ensuring privacy and dignity are respected at all times.

Ashmere Nottinghamshire are offering all long term residents an opportunity to design their own bedroom. A show bedroom is located on the first floor of at Sutton Court where residents are able to view a wide range of carpets, paints, soft furnishings, fabrics and furniture which are available for them to choose from should they decide to take a room in one of their Nottinghamshire homes on a long term basis.

I visited the residential home for the first time in May of this year and found that the experience was extremely pleasant. The premises were exceptionally clean, and the facilities were delightful. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. I left the home feeling uplifted by the knowledge that
all of the residents were in a comfortable, friendly and safe environment. I can thoroughly recommend!

My mum has been a resident of Sutton Lodge for the past two months. I cannot praise the staff enough. They are all so hardworking! Nothing is ever too much trouble; always making sure Mum has everything she needs. They really do care. She has a permanent smile on her face. Every single one of them goes
above and beyond. I would recommend this care home to anyone. I am so grateful for all you do. Mum is the happiest I have seen her for years - she calls it her "happy home".

With a beautifully clean environment, which is warm, comfortable and welcoming, Sutton Court is an excellent example of quality care for vulnerable people. The residents have home-cooked meals and activities are arranged for them, including gardening and craft afternoon. Relatives are welcomed and kept
informed of their family members well being. There are beautiful outdoor areas where residents can sit and enjoy the sunshine.

Mum moved to be closer to us in Ashfield in November 2020 shortly afterwards we were in lockdown. However, due to the friendly staff and carers at Sutton Court, she settled in well, loves all the activities, and the home the management went out of their way, even letting her adopt a kitten. The whole
family are delighted she is being looked after so well. The food is brilliant she tells us, and they have everything they could ever want.

Totally over the moon to have Mum in Sutton Court. She has been treated with complete respect and dignity. Her medical care/treatment has been outstanding in the eleven and a half months she has been under their care. Fantastic staff, they keep me informed of Mum's progress and anything they may be
concerned about. The exceptional staff at Sutton Court, always helpful and polite. 100% happy, and also, Mum is settled and happy as a resident.

My mother was an emergency admission from the hospital just before Christmas during the lockdown. The manager was very kind and efficiently liaised with the hospital and social services to effect a quick transfer. Initially, Mother was confused and uncooperative due to her transfer and mental condition
(dementia), and I was very impressed with the caring, kindness and sympathy of all the staff in dealing with her trauma. I am amazed at how quickly she has adapted and settled down and is now very happy there.

This is an incredible care home. The staff are excellent in every way, and we, as a family, cannot fault the care given to our Mum.
Mum was discharged to Sutton Court from the hospital, and she spent the last few weeks of her life, happy, comfortable and surrounded by very caring and empathetic staff
who gave the care she required very efficiently and without question. We are so pleased she ended her days in such a loving and friendly environment.
Thank you to every member of staff involved... management, carers, cleaners, cooks, laundry and maintenance staff who all work hard to make the home the brilliant place it is.

Paula Jefford

Job Title: Manager Joined: 2000

Paula has worked for Ashmere for over 20 years and has been promoted through the ranks. She is the most highly qualified manager within the group having achieved her social care level 7. Paula has also achieved the converted Dementia Quality Mark at Sutton Court.


She has managed two of the homes on the Nottinghamshire site and was promoted in 2021 to be the manager of Sutton Court (the biggest of the Ashmere Homes).
