Sutton Court Residential Home has a relaxing atmosphere that is also ideal for quality care to be practiced, suited to each individual.

It sits in beautiful landscaped gardens and also has an enclosed inner courtyard that has been specifically designed for relaxation where residents and families can enjoy peace and security.

A show bedroom is located on the first floor of at Sutton Court where residents are able to view a wide range of carpets, paints, soft furnishings, fabrics and furniture which are available for them to choose from should they decide to take a room in one of their Nottinghamshire homes on a long term basis.

My mum has resided at Sutton Court Care Home for almost two years now and is completely settled and happy there. The staff are excellent and very person-centered to my mum's needs. They also make me feel very welcome when I visit and I love chatting to the other residents and joining in with all the
fantastic entertainment. The discos every Friday ran by the staff are superb and the residents love them. She is amazing at what she does as is the activities coordinator and the care staff are wonderful. Management also keep me well informed and ensure my Mum is safe and well and gets involved with all the residents and knows them personally which is lovely. I went to a Valentine's dinner there the other day and it really was amazing. They have entertainment and something planned every single day. I know my mum is being well looked after and that makes me very happy.

I cannot recommend this care home highly enough, they looked after my mum with great care and she thoroughly enjoyed being a resident there, unfortunately, Sutton Court is not a nursing home, if it was, my mum would still be there as I was very reluctant to move mum to a nursing home. All of the staff were warm and welcoming. My grandad loved staying here, he had made friends with some of the other residents, and he loved the staff that cared for him. We visited regularly, and nothing was too much trouble; the staff could not do enough for us and my grandad. The manager and her team
were a pleasure to deal with, and I could not have asked for anything better for my grandad.

Extremely unhappy and dissatisfied with the care my uncle received at this 'home'. In fact, I have moved him!
His glasses were “ misplaced” last December - I wasn't informed. The wristwatch box was packed with no watch inside. Beard trimmer was also missing, just an empty box, when mentioned to staff
- complete couldn't care less attitude. I didn’t get a chance to cancel the S.O. Still awaiting the refund 30 days later.
New home have made a safeguarding referral to Social Services as in their opinion he had been neglected and appeared dishevelled. Social Services are currently looking into this! Even though Sutton Court have a minibus they refused to transfer my uncle, even though he had paid for a further three days!
Glad he is now getting the care he deserves.

My mother went into Sutton Court for rehab after breaking both wrists. As a family, we did not want her to go into a care home and were keen to get her back home as soon as possible. However, her stay was made positive due to the care and understanding shown by all the staff. We visited every day and
were also made to feel come and observed excellent practice by everyone involved in caring for my mother. Thank you.

All the staff were supportive in the physical and mental realms. Nothing was too much trouble and they were all cheerful. I made a lot of friends during my seven weeks there. The personal attention I was afforded was fantastic down to the fact that I did not eat meat and care was taken to ensure my

What a great care home! All the staff are welcoming and friendly and provide a lovely place for the residents to live.
I love all the activities - there's something happening all the time to keep the residents entertained and happy.
It's always clean and tidy. It's lovely to see the residents interacting
with the animals, which gives a homely feel.

I have had exceptional care, and I am sorry to leave because I have made many friends with the residents. I have probably put on two stone because of the delicious food, so need to go home to get it off. Can't thank the staff enough for their care and compassion.

Job Title: Manager Joined: 2000

Paula has worked for Ashmere for over 20 years and has been promoted through the ranks. She is the most highly qualified manager within the group having achieved her social care level 7. Paula has also achieved the converted Dementia Quality Mark at Sutton Court.


She has managed two of the homes on the Nottinghamshire site and was promoted in 2021 to be the manager of Sutton Court (the biggest of the Ashmere Homes).
