Anchor's Beechfield Lodge in Salford is a purpose-built care home, providing quality care and facilities within a comfortable and relaxing environment. Located in the heart of the community, it provides residential and dementia care for up to 60 customers. They continue to welcome new residents for permanent and respite care.

Beechfield Lodge's en suite rooms provide studio flat accommodation, which they encourage residents to personalise. These comprise of a kitchenette, in addition to bedroom space and a private shower room.

Beechfield Lodge is proud to have achieved Veteran Friendly Framework (VFF) accreditation to be able to provide appropriate support to veterans requiring care.

The home provides residential care which is personally tailored to meet the individual needs of customers and enhance their quality of life. The care team works with customers and their loved ones to create detailed care plans to ensure each individual’s health and care needs are continually met.

Anchor provides dementia care and provides ongoing training to care staff to ensure their approach always reflects best practice.

Beechfield Lodge is part of Anchor, who are one of England’s largest provider of housing and care for those over 55 years of age and has 60 years of experience as a not-for-profit provider of services to older people.

Whilst my mother has been a resident of Beechfield Lodge, she has lived in a very comfortable clean flat of her own. She has access to communal areas and mixed with other residents enjoying entertainment, activities & weekly trips. It has given me peace of mind knowing she was well looked after and
happy.
I cannot fault the care she has received plus the dignity she deserved in her final days with many staff going above & beyond their expected duties. I am forever grateful for all they have provided.

Mum came to the home in November 2024 and has settled in well, after it was decided she needed 24-hour care. From the onset, have found all the staff welcoming, friendly and helpful. The home is clean and well-furnished. I haven't noticed any unpleasant odours during my visits. Activities are daily
and it's nice to see staff interacting and the residents participating. Communication is strong with the manager, leading a very good team. Overall, my opinion of the home is excellent and I am optimistic that their high standards will continue along with the high standard of care shown to Mum.

My mother has been at Beechfield Lodge since August this year. As time has gone on, she has become a lot more settled and my sister and myself believe that this is down to the staff who she can't praise enough. Very friendly and helpful, she thinks the food could be improved.
Overall, she is in the
best place where she feels safe and is being looked after around the clock.

My dad entered Beechfield Lodge in October 2024.
The staff are very caring and Beechfield, in general, is well run and has a welcoming atmosphere. My dad's room is spacious and cheery with two large windows letting in plenty of light. The staff take my dad out frequently which is great.

I couldn't have chosen a better care home for my mother.
The staff are totally invested, amazing and very accommodating. They go above and beyond to make their residents and families feel at ease.
They keep me updated on a regular basis.
Being in another country away from my mother is very hard.
However, knowing where she is and the care she is given, I believe I made the right choice in choosing Beechfield Lodge.
I am able to video call/phone with my mother on a daily basis and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They are absolutely amazing and a godsend.

Have been visiting my friend since 2022. Have always found the staff to be very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Have always found the place clean and tidy. Even had a cup of tea!
What is pleasant is the distinct lack of the smell of urine noticeable in a lot of homes we visit!

My mother has resided in Beechfield Lodge for approximately three years. She has an ensuite room with a small kitchen. The room is modest but both functional and kept clean. The overall facility is well laid out with separate dining and sitting rooms and secure gardens. The parking is sufficient. The
staff are positive and helpful. Myself and my family visit often and very reassured our mum is being well cared for.

Was a little perturbed on first visit when my arrival was announced on loudspeaker - why? Also, in the first 20 minutes I was with my friend, four carers popped in to make sure she was ok - why? To impress? Don't think staff could do that for all residents - they wouldn't have the time - silly. Nobody
is fooled.
Went into large lounge today - smelt awful.
Had to ask for a snack for my friend on a previous visit. She had been given a drink but not offered any food and the same thing had happened the week before.

Thank you for taking the time to review Beechfield Lodge. Due to the size of our home, all care staff have walkie talkies, when a visitor or health care professional arrives we let staff know if a resident has a visitor going to a resident's flat so either the resident can meet them at their flat or where required staff member can support them going to the flat. Visitors' feedback has found this helpful. If a resident has a high risk of falls, all colleagues are encouraged to just pop in to ensure our resident is safe and well. These additional checks are sometimes implemented following advice from social workers. Feedback has been supportive of this. All areas of Beechfield Lodge are regularly cleaned, where our home scored 97% in a recent full infection control audit by Salford City Council. We have a constant supply of drinks and snacks available to all our residents with a wide selection of choices. We are happy to discuss all aspects of our care at a mutually convenient time.

Mum has been a resident here since February 2024. From the first meeting with the home manager, I have been impressed by all aspects of care provided. Mum arrived after 3 months in hospital, distressed and confused and vehemently opposed to moving to a care home. Within days at Beechfield Lodge, she
had settled in and felt safe and settled in her new 'flat'. She doesn't think of Beechfield Lodge as a care home but as a lovely flat with 24-hour caring and attentive staff. The physical environment is always clean and welcoming, the staff is unfailingly helpful and cheerful, the quality of care planning (and the internal quality auditing of the care plans) is very good and mum has re-gained weight she lost during her hospital stay due to the good quality food provided. The staff have clearly got to know Mum well and have adapted to her preferred routines. Communication with family is excellent through our named team leader. I know Mum is in a well-managed, caring environment. Would highly recommend.
