So far we are happy with the level of care my father has received and feel that he has settled in quite well.
We are pleased that the home offers a fair range of activities and entertainments.
Hopefully the carers are able to continue my father's exercises to help his movement, and also walking with
his frame when possible.

Myself and my sisters are very happy with Beechfield Lodge and all the staff.
My dad is very confused and all the staff are kind, polite and caring with him,
He says he is not happy with the food, but he looks well fed.
He enjoys going out on external activities and taking part in the home based
activities.

My mum moved into Beechfield Lodge in March 2022. Sadly passed away January 2025.
This review covers the time mum stayed in Beechfield. Thank you to all the staff that looked after my mum (who had dementia) and made her feel at home and enjoyed the activities and friendship with all the staff.
Special
thanks to the manager and carers, two in particular, who were brilliant with mum upto her passing.

Beechfield Lodge is a modern purpose built care home with excellent facilities. Resident's rooms are spacious and most have a separate bath/showerroom and kitchen. The home is kept very clean and has a pleasant odour. Staff are professional and approachable. The carers treat the residents with kindness
and respect and the residents always appeared settled and happy. There are enclosed secure gardens for residents to enjoy. I cannot fault the home in any way. Thank you.

My mother has been here for 2.5 years. I cannot fault the place. The staff are amazing, residents always well dressed, look clean & tidy. The care home itself is well kept, clean tidy, no offensive smells. Bright, fresh, airy.
I every over heard 2 residents talking to one and other expressing how happy
they are to live at Beechfield.
Thats the best review ever when residents express it.

Whilst my mother has been a resident of Beechfield Lodge, she has lived in a very comfortable clean flat of her own. She has access to communal areas and mixed with other residents enjoying entertainment, activities & weekly trips. It has given me peace of mind knowing she was well looked after and
happy.
I cannot fault the care she has received plus the dignity she deserved in her final days with many staff going above & beyond their expected duties. I am forever grateful for all they have provided.

My mother has been at Beechfield Lodge since August this year. As time has gone on, she has become a lot more settled and my sister and myself believe that this is down to the staff who she can't praise enough. Very friendly and helpful, she thinks the food could be improved.
Overall, she is in the
best place where she feels safe and is being looked after around the clock.

My dad entered Beechfield Lodge in October 2024.
The staff are very caring and Beechfield, in general, is well run and has a welcoming atmosphere. My dad's room is spacious and cheery with two large windows letting in plenty of light. The staff take my dad out frequently which is great.
Choice of
meals seems good.
Many thanks to all the staff and management.

I couldn't have chosen a better care home for my mother.
The staff are totally invested, amazing and very accommodating. They go above and beyond to make their residents and families feel at ease.
They keep me updated on a regular basis.
Being in another country away from my mother is very hard.
However, knowing where she is and the care she is given, I believe I made the right choice in choosing Beechfield Lodge.
I am able to video call/phone with my mother on a daily basis and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They are absolutely amazing and a godsend.

Have been visiting my friend since 2022. Have always found the staff to be very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Have always found the place clean and tidy. Even had a cup of tea!
What is pleasant is the distinct lack of the smell of urine noticeable in a lot of homes we visit!

Mum has now resided at Beechfield Lodge for six months and appears to have settled in. She has a daily routine and often has an afternoon nap which is in line with the routine she had at home. I now feel confident that she is safe and has support on hand if needed.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.494)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.494) out of 10 for Beechfield Lodge is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 48 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 44 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.494 for Beechfield Lodge is calculated as follows: ( (365 Excellents x 5) + (143 Goods x 4) + (41 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) + (13 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 565 Ratings = 4.494
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Beechfield Lodge is based on 44 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12, which has been reached with 44 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
