Mum had been a resident at Lisburne Court since 2018 and has been part of the Lisburne Court family from day one.
Choosing a care home for a loved one is a difficult and traumatic experience for family members, but Lisburne Court and its staff and manager cannot be faulted for the care and support
that they have given both Mum and me throughout her time there.
Lisburne Court is a family, and each resident is cared for as an individual within that family community.
Nothing is ever too much trouble. Relatives are constantly updated and referred to if anything arises, and advice and support are offered and greatly received.
From entertainment, Birthday parties, activities, personal care, great food, family afternoons and trips etc. The staff care wholeheartedly about Mum and everyone else there. They are dedicated, caring, hardworking, empathetic and supportive.
We couldn't have chosen a better place for Mum. Thank you for everything you do.

Staff are always very friendly and helpful if you have any concerns, you can speak to any of the staff and feel assured that these concerns will be dealt with efficiently and quickly. The home always has lots of activities and many singers, bands or other entertainers coming in to keep the residents
involved.

I've been very happy with the care given to my mother. Initially, she moved in as an emergency placement, and I am so relieved that we got lucky. All the staff are caring and attentive and work hard to provide a stimulating environment with regular outings. The rooms are clean and comfy. The touches
of a mock bar and hairdressing salon on-site are added comforts, and the garden is well-kept. Not long ago, they arranged a celebration for my mother's 90th birthday that family and friends enjoyed also. They're also attentive to her health needs and doing their best to keep her happy.

Mum is so happy and settled here and is very well cared for with all the amazing staff that Mum thinks the world of, and they love Mum too, which is just so lovely. Nothing is ever too much trouble for any of the staff. There is always entertainment at least twice a week and a trip out for many of the
residents at least once a month, which Mum really enjoys going on. The activity co-ordinator works extremely hard to put a smile on everyone's faces and always goes above and beyond for all residents and family members as well. Thank you all so much, everyone at Lisburn Court, it is so reassuring to know that Mum is in safe hands and is so happy and settled with you.

I have been to see my dad today with my mum to find out he had been in hospital for three days because he was bringing up blood and being sick. They never contacted my mum. When I confronted the manager about this, she said my other sister, who we don't talk to, she said they got her down as next of
kin, which is bang out of order as for my mum is his next of kin. Some of the staff are very nice then you get an arrogant person downstairs trying to talk down to you.
Reply from Hannah Freeley, Marketing and Communications Manager at Lisburne CourtThank you for taking the time to complete a review of Lisburne Court. We are sorry that you feel upset, which is a shame as we have always had a strong relationship with your Dad's family members when they have visited us. We know you have only recently started to visit us at Lisburne Court and we are sorry that you feel you have not had the same positive experience as your other family members and our other reviewers. We would like to take this opportunity to reassure you once again, along with all of your Dad's family members, that his care and wellbeing will continue to remain our priority.

My mum was a resident at Lisburne Court for four years until she passed away in January. Me and my family were very pleased with the excellent care she received and the large amount of varied activities provided, which my mum liked to join in. When my mum was put on end-of-life care, she was treated
with the utmost care, respect and dignity, and we, as a family, were well supported.

Mum has been a resident at Lisburne Court over two years now and is more wobbly and cheeky now, but yet again, the lovely activities lady gave Mum a fantastic '91st' birthday party - singer, dance, balloons, buffet and another happy memory for family to treasure. Food varied and tasty, caters to Mum's
diabetic diet brilliantly. I'm convinced Mum is still with us due to the hard-working caring staff who give her so much fun and affection plus input of seniors who are super efficient and patient at seeing to Mum's medical needs. Mum loves the staff and is very happy in their company, her huge smile as soon as she sees them says it all. Thank you.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.878)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.878) out of 10 for Lisburne Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 48 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 47 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.878 for Lisburne Court is calculated as follows: ( (522 Excellents x 5) + (40 Goods x 4) + (9 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 574 Ratings = 4.878
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Lisburne Court is based on 47 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 48 registered maximum number of service users is 9.6, which has been reached with 47 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
