We didn't have a choice with which home my mum was placed in as it was at the height of the pandemic and she was in hospital and needed to be moved on Christmas Eve. Nobody had told us she had been moved and the first we were made aware of was when Lisburne Court contacted us directly. It was a terrifying
moment and we felt completely forgotten. Thankfully it turned out to be the best decision, the staff are incredible and the difference in my mum is amazing. The staff go above and beyond to make her feel safe and supported despite the incredibly hard working conditions they are under. Mum has flourished under their care and I am eternally grateful for allowing her to feel safe.
The staff continually update me with mum's progress and I could not have wished for a better outcome.
Thank you Lisburne Court you are all superstars

It is a very friendly and welcoming place nothing is too much trouble but it would be nice if I could see my mum's room but because of this Covid thing there are only two rooms that visitors can see their relatives in it would be nice to make these rooms a bit more comfortable and maybe have some way
for visitors to make themselves a drink, all in all, there is no problem any questions are answered as soon as they can and any problems are always sorted and discussed with you

My mother's been a resident at Lisburne Court for four years and is very well looked after. The meals are a good variety and nutritious and the staff take care of her personal hygiene so she's always clean and well turned out when we visit, including having her hair done in the in-house salon and even
has her nails painted. It's a very good standard of care. She has her own room where she can spend time quietly if she wants or she can join the other residents in the lounge. The carers and staff are always cheerful and smiling, no matter what they're coping with. We've visited on two or three occasions when the lift has been out of service, which obviously means double the workload for them, and yet they do so smiling and not showing any frustrations. The staff are to be commended on the utmost care they've taken of all the residents, especially during Covid, and keeping everyone so safe.

Whilst doing this review I cannot comment on food and drink, rooms, facilities, and value for money. This is because of covid restrictions I have not seen or been privy to these areas of my partner's care. Nor do I have anything to compare 'Value for Money with'

My wife passed away in September and in her last weeks, she was kept comfortable and well cared for by staff who, throughout her stay at Lisburne Court, appeared to be caring people and not just carers. We were allowed extra visits (all Covid compliant) and this was a great comfort to us as a family.

My husband has dementia and has been a resident at Lisburn Court from March 2021 to the present day. On admission, my husband was very confused and I was heartbroken. The staff we have to say were utterly remarkable. They quickly identified my husband's characteristics and were able to gain my husband's
trust. Sincerely cannot express the gratitude me and my family owe the dedicated, patient, caring staff.
They enable my husband to have a quality of life and in turn, we as a family feel content knowing he is receiving the best care.

My mum had a short one month respite stay from a hospital discharge. The whole experience was extremely positive.
Excellent attention to detail, person-centered care.
Very very clean. Mum especially loved Toffee the rabbit which is a lovely touch.
The staff are so caring and one took time to share
photos of my mum doing activities 'having a ball'. Thank you so, so much.
The laundry was so clean.

As a family, we can't recommend Lisburne Court enough. The staff/management go above and beyond and have such a personal touch.
The home is clean, food/snacks are always on hand, and plenty of activities on offer.
All staff have great knowledge of dementia, are friendly, and treat my grandad with
such care and empathy.
Thank you!

Mom has been in Lisburne Court for over a year now (just before covid) some of the questions we can't rate all areas as we have not been allowed in rooms etc.
The manager is very sensitive to requirements. Her communication is excellent and always answers phone calls with reassurance. The ALF is excellent
with her activities and communication. The carers always greet us with a smile and contact us with any concerns.

Since my mum joined Lisburne in January she has blossomed. She enjoys her time here, taking part in activities and listening to music. She has had brilliant care with all staff knowing her needs and making sure she is well. On Zoom meetings and others it is apparent that they have taken their time to
understand her in needs and in temperament.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.878)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.878) out of 10 for Lisburne Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 48 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 47 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.878 for Lisburne Court is calculated as follows: ( (522 Excellents x 5) + (40 Goods x 4) + (9 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 574 Ratings = 4.878
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Lisburne Court is based on 47 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 48 registered maximum number of service users is 9.6, which has been reached with 47 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
