I have been visiting The Beeches for about six months as part of the local church service. I am incredibly impressed by the care given to the residents by the staff who obviously take their role very seriously. I have been in the care profession for over 30 years (NHS) and am honoured to be able to
visit and see first-hand the excellent work and care being given and received.

My mother was a resident at The Beeches for just over 2 years, she was cared for with respect and dignity. The staff were always welcoming to myself and other family members. There was always a happy atmosphere and a family feel about the place. I would definitely recommend The Beeches.

I live almost 300 miles away from The Beeches and could not visit as often as I would like. However, Mum's care and quality of life here has been second to none. I know every member of staff here has treated my mum like she was their own mum, this includes the kitchen staff and nighttime carers. The
welcome here is brilliant and I have been lucky to meet many of Mum's fellow residents who all enjoy the same level of care and compassion.
I love all the staff here.

My gran has been here for over 12 months. All the staff are lovely, smiley, kind and willing to help/answer questions. It is very clean this is the best home in Tameside. I have visited many homes where other relatives have been and this is the best. Well done to all the staff they make a fantastic

My dad moved into The Beeches around four weeks ago and settled in straight away. He had been on the waiting list for approximately eight months, and we were delighted when a room became available. The Beeches feel like home to me. My granny was a resident here for six years, so my dad was already familiar
with it. Although it's six years since my granny lived here, it felt like only yesterday. There is a genuine family feel, and the staff are very welcoming and caring. It doesn't feel restricted in any way, and I know that my dad is well cared for and safe.

After eight years of attentive care my mother-in-law has passed away, peacefully and with dignity. The staff kept us well informed of her condition between our visits over the last few days. We could see that she was stiill being attended, changed,washed, and kept company even though she had little
conciousness at that time. Everything that we could have wished for was done. The inevitable arrangements were made easy, and advice was available. The staff were supportive of our family and were clearly affected themselves by her passing. They had been like family to her and to us as well. Our thanks can never be enough reward.

Mum has been at The Beeches Care Home for over five months now. She is receiving the very best of care from all the staff. Relatives and family are also receiving the same care. Nothing is too much trouble. Everyone is made to feel welcome. The staff are bright and bubbly (especially the staff in the
office). All the residents appear happy and well cared for.

Introducing Louise Clifford
Home Manager at The Beeches, Tameside


What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


“I believe that kind care means treating people with kindness and respect, just as I would want to be treated.”


Louise has gained over 15 years’ experience in providing care and support to older people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and committed leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked for the company for a number of years, Louise closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at The Beeches.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Louise remarked: “I get great satisfaction from knowing that I am making a difference to the lives of our Residents.”


Away from work, Louise likes to spend her spare time reading, watching films and enjoying days out at the beach.
