Most importantly, every member of staff treated her with genuine care, respect and kindness. Knowing she was safe, happy and cared for gave our family great peace of mind. I would highly recommend this care home.

A wonderful care home offering high-quality facilities and thoughtful support. Residents are well looked after and have plenty of daily activities to enjoy. The home is clean, calm, and efficiently run. Staff members are caring, patient, and attentive.

I have always found the care given to my father at Handsworth as very good. He always has clean clothes, is shaved every day and has regular showers. The carers do a brilliant job in often difficult circumstances, for example, due to sickness or leave absence, when they are under pressure and resources are stretched. I appreciate dad's care, even more so of late, as he is unable to feed himself or communicate properly and is incontinent. The carers are so patient with him and do a fantastic job. The kitchen staff have to purée his meals and do a great job of making them tasty and dad seems to enjoy them.

It is hard to single out the best part of her life there, the staff 'get her' and frequently make particular food she has mentioned; her involvement in activities is now limited but she is always included and loves the visits of the children with 'songs and smiles'. Thank you so much.

My sister or I went to visit at least 5 times each week - so we were well aware of the atmosphere there. We were so fortunate to have found Handsworth.

My brother has been resident at Handsworth for over 6 years now and we are very happy with all the care he receives here. The home is bright and well-maintained and there is a very welcoming, homely atmosphere throughout the whole home. The staff, at every level, are friendly, approachable and helpful, and care for my brother with kindness and consideration.

Handsworth has given my friend the quality of life he absolutely deserves after having to make a very hard decision to sell his home to begin a new life here, EVERYTHING is on point to giving the best care, he has been living a life of comfort here for approximately 18 months, it is completely reassuring to know he is being cared for with dignity, kindness, in a safe and happy homely environment, all the staff are truly amazing on every level, Handsworth in my opinion is the very best home for excellence in exceptional care.

Staff have cared for dad for 15 months now and are like family. They so kind and caring to Dad and so helpful and informative and kind to the family too. We couldn't ask for that to be in a better place. The activities organised our great too. It's a lovely atmosphere. I cannot imagine a Care Home with nice staff.

the home has first class facilities,garden,lounges and dining areas. the staff are very supportive . the home is always clean and never smells. rooms are cleaned regular and if there is any issues they call to advise. medical support is available each week with medical staff doing rounds.

The Chaplin who serves the home has been a valuable support giving my Uncle gentle friendship and spiritual care, which is much appreciated

This is the third time that my sister has stayed at Handsworth Care Home to allow us both some respite. She loves it there and I love her being there. The security of driving away knowing she is loved and cared for by all of the lovely staff is so reassuring. We are both made to feel so welcome every time. The level of respect and care is outstanding - her room is always lovely and the food is superb. I don't believe she even misses me :) :) I get photos whilst she's there doing some wonderful activities and her smile and joy just shines out and she always comes home with photos to keep and her craft creations. I would never hesitate to recommend Handsworth to anyone. It truly is a special place with beautiful and caring humans. The understanding everyone has of Julie's needs, her personality and her favourite things is amazing. I wouldn't mind a stay there myself but then I don't think I'd ever go home. Fantastic environment for my disabled Mum. She is incredibly well looked after. There's a real sense of family in Handsworth. Staff go above and beyond to ensure residents are happy and content. There is always an event or celebration for residents.

We did visit other care homes and whilst they were doing their best, they were nowhere near as wonderful as Handsworth has proved to be. We feel so blessed that they were able to accommodate Dad. His room is nicely furnished and comfortable. The Home is well cared for and the food is excellent. The staff are really impressive -everyone of them from the management to the caterers and cleaners. But the biggest accolades are reserved for the brilliant carers. They have truly improved Dad's quality of life and health and for that we are grateful beyond words.

At a stage of life when Dad can feel diminished he is made to feel that he matters here. Sincere appreciation & admiration goes to all the hard working staff.

Mum went into this care home for respite for five weeks They could not have done enough for her, she has never stopped talking about her experience especially about the activity with the babies and tenor singer. I would recommend this care home and have nothing but praise for all the staff. Would definitely use them again in the future if we can.

This carehome is the standard that should be set for ALL other carehomes. It has strong and thoughtful leadership as well as staff who without exception are angels. My mother was resident for 18 months prior to her passing away. The quality of care my mother received from everyone connected to the home was better than first class. Indeed the quality of care was not only first class but the the way the carehome facilities such as lounge, dining room, garden and bedroom as well as regular activities showed the highest quality of care was achieved. I have nothing but praise for Handsworth Carehome and thank them with all my heart for looking after my mum so well in the last 18 months of her life.
