Connell Court

Connell Court is a homely residential home. It is an ideal place especially for people like my mother, who needs support but not necessarily nursing care, though there have been occasions when this has been necessary. It is not too large to overwhelm the residents. The staff work hard to maintain a cheerful caring atmosphere and the home is well-maintained and very clean.

From our initial enquiry, we were all treated with courtesy and respect. The staff made the transition from living at home to Connell Court as smooth as possible. Nothing was too much trouble and the extra touch of a 'welcome' gift was a beautiful thought. All interactions with the staff confirmed we have made the right choice of care home and we feel she is now safely being cared for by amazing staff. Thank you.

My mum has just moved into Connell Court. The staff were fantastic with supporting the move. They have been lovely with my mum, and really helpful with all the questions I had relating to her move. Very friendly staff making her move as happy and reassuring as possible at a time when it is very unsettling for her. The facilities are great, my mum loves the food and there are a lot of activities and day trips for her to consider straight away.

My mother has been in this care home for 6 years now and she is cared for as one of the family. Good facilities, enjoyable meals, a wide range of activities and a beautiful garden to walk in. Grateful thanks to the excellent team of carers.

I recently visited my aunt at Connell Court care home and was very impressed with how nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were polite, friendly and very caring. My aunt's life is so much more fulfilled since moving into the home.

My Grandad was reluctant at first to live in a care home. But he has settled in really well at Connell Court over the past few months. He has integrated well, thoroughly enjoys the food, joins in with activities and is comfortable in his new home.

All the staff have been friendly and there has been very strong communication between them and the family to keep us appraised of how she is getting on.

I stayed for 3 weeks of respite over Christmas and the new year following surgery. The food and entertainment during my stay were both excellent. The chef went to a lot of trouble with the festive menus and the dining room and communal areas was decorated beautifully. The staff were helpful and friendly. I was glad I chose Connell Court and would happily stay there again.

For me the bed was too small, otherwise, everything was perfect.

My mother-in-law was reluctant to stay in a care home but after a week she settled in nicely and is enjoying the care given by Connell Court and if she likes it, it must be excellent. We are pleased with everything and would recommend to anyone.

As someone who lives overseas and has been unable until now to visit, I can only speak in the highest regard for the level of care my mum receives at Connell Court Care Home. Staff have worked so hard to ensure I've been able to Zoom and phone with ease. I am delighted to now put faces to names and to fully appreciate the kindness and compassion which all staff have shown. After a recent hospitalisation, Mum returned to her room, smiled and told me she was pleased to be home. Thank you to everyone for such heartwarming and excellent care.

My mother was delighted to be going home and frequently tells us how kind all the staff are. We as a family really appreciate the compassionate care she receives which enable her to maintain her dignity. The home is beautifully clean with appetising, nutritious food. The staff are friendly and professional without exception.

My mother has been a resident of Connell Court Care Home for two years, both pre and during Covid. It is a tribute to the professionalism and determination of the manager and her staff that high standards have been maintained throughout these difficult times. The staff are loving, committed and consistently reliable. The medical, spiritual and social needs of the residents are unfailingly met. I cannot speak highly enough of this establishment.

Management has kept everyone informed. Communications during lockdown were excellent using a variety of ways to keep in touch. These include zoom calls, window visits, garden visits (when possible), and the introduction of a weekly family newsletter. My Mum had her 100th birthday in May. Although we weren’t able to celebrate in quite the way we would have liked, management facilitated the celebrations we did have and the day was very successful. An appeal for birthday cards resulted in over 400, plus a variety of gifts from local businesses and schools. This was followed by afternoon tea and cakes and drinks for the residents. Heartfelt thanks to all Connell Court staff as nothing was too much trouble and they care very much for the residents.

Warm, friendly staff and atmosphere. Residents are very welcoming and staff supportive in present Covid conditions and difficulties.
