In January this year, on recommendation, we brought a 94-year-old frail lady to you in a wheelchair for respite. We spoke to her every day by phone, and gradually she went from anxious and depressed to have a wonderful time and enjoyed walking around the garden, all the activities and made many friends. We collected a much brighter more able lady this week. When things became too difficult to manage for her at home, she'll be back - if you'll have her.

My aunt asked to move to Connell Court as her eyesight is deteriorating, she had been unwell and felt she could not manage safely at home. Even though this has all happened through difficult times with Covid 19 restrictions, we have been able to keep in touch through phone calls and window visits. She is so pleased that she can now have one visitor indoors and this has been managed safely. We're looking forward to when we can meet in the garden and have some day visits out and about. Staff have been so helpful and have answered many questions by phone and email, which is a great relief as I don't live locally and have no experience of the care home system. They have contacted me with concerns about her well-being, and that high level of communication between staff and family has been invaluable in terms of peace of mind and reassurance that she is safe and cared for.

My mother spent 9 weeks at Connell Court recovering from breaking ten ribs. She was at a very low ebb when she entered the home, but the respite care that she received turned her around and allowed her to return to her own flat, where she is now living happily and caring for herself. The staff at Connell Court were excellent, and the happy social atmosphere and engagement boosted my mother's confidence and revived her sagging spirits. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care and attention that they gave to my mother and I would recommend Connell Court to anyone searching for a Care Home.

The care and consideration given to my mother especially in these difficult times has been so good. It has been difficult for everyone not least the staff to keep morale going and I know Mum like everyone else there is looking forward to more normal times especially when we can visit and have a hug. At least she is very safe and well and as a family, we are extremely thankful for that.

My mother has resided at Connell Court from the beginning of 2020 following a spell in hospital and has been very happy during this time.
All the staff are very supportive of my mother's needs and nothing seems to be too much trouble. During the period of lockdown I have been using the Zoom video conferencing facility which has been invaluable in maintaining contact with my mother. This is always very easy to set up through the staff, with no technical intervention required by my mother!
I am also very pleased to be able to meet my mother again using the carefully controlled meeting arrangements in the grounds of Connell Court.

I would thoroughly recommend Connell Court to anyone who is considering residential care.

If you are looking for a care home that goes 'above and beyond' to care for your loved ones then look no further! Connell Court has everything that you should be looking for. My Mother has been resident here for 18 months and she loves it. Nothing is too much trouble, and she is supported to be as independent as she wants to be - which changes according to how she feels that day. During lockdown, relatives have been well supported with video calls, relative/staff meetings via zoom and regular Covid updates. We were reassured from the onset of the pandemic that there were procedures and protocols in place to protect our loved ones and indeed the chairman of MHA has been at the forefront in ensuring adequate PPE and regular testing is in place in all care homes. We could not be happier with Connell Court and despite my Mother being 90 years old, I hope she will enjoy many more years to come in this beautiful calm, safe and stimulating atmosphere.

Both my sister and I live out of the area so visiting our mother is fairly difficult under normal circumstances. When lockdown started we were very concerned about our mother feeling isolated as we had no idea when we would be able to travel north again. The staff at Connell Court were brilliant and within the first few days were providing access to Zoom so we can 'meet' with Mum regularly and have a good chat! Throughout the long weeks, I have also received many photos of Mum taken by staff during various activities. I had to travel north on business recently and due to the relaxing of lockdown rules, I was able to make an appointment to see Mum - when I arrived at Connell Court I was given mask and gloves to wear and we had a lovely catch up sitting in the beautiful garden. I know that Mum is being well cared for and fully occupied - during this difficult time staff have shown tremendous empathy and support Mum whenever she is feeling sad and missing us.

Through COVID-19, it has been so reassuring that my mother has been taken care of so well. She has had lots of activities to keep her occupied and help the time pass, especially not being able to see family. It's so lovely that my sister can now visit my mother; it has made a difference.

My mother has been in Connell court since November 2018 following a stroke.
My mother is very well looked after; she has made so many friends over her time in the home. The activity programme is very varied. The care and attention she is given by the staff are amazing.

After a visit, I always know that my mother is well looked after and she is safe. We are going through the lockdown at the moment, and the home has kept in touch with relatives by video calls, which has been much appreciated.

Connell Court is an excellent care home and the staff go way beyond the normal duty of care which you might expect in a home of this type. They make the welfare and happiness of all their residents their highest priority and are also extremely considerate of the residents' families and their needs. My mother loves living there and has her every need met by the home. She enjoys participating in the various activities and values the sociable aspect of the home. The carers are kindness itself and always try to help out the residents in every situation. It is a relief and a comfort to me to know that she is in the best possible place and that she is so happy there.

My father has been at Connell Court as a permanent resident since December 2019. Dad has settled in so much better than I could ever have hoped for and really feels like he is at home here now. The staff are extremely kind and friendly, and Dad is always treated with respect and kindness.

I had dreaded searching for a care home for Dad, but as soon as I walked into Connell Court, I knew this was the right one for him. As soon as you walk in, it light and bright, smells lovely and there is a general happy atmosphere.

There are constant activities for the residents with a lovely garden and conservatory that Dad loves to sit in. The dining room is lovely with white table cloths on tables for four; Dad really enjoys the food, and he is not the easiest to please on that front.

I would recommend Connell Court to anyone looking for a care home for their loved one. I have such peace of mind knowing he is there, well looked after and most of all happy.

Our friend recently passed away at Connell Court after 8 years of living there. Connell Court had become home to our friend, where she felt loved and cared for. The end of life care she received was outstanding as was the help given to us as we spent time with our friend in her final days. We would have no hesitation in recommending Cornell Court to you or your loved ones.

Our team were privileged to care for your friend. She was a true lady who's spiritual beliefs were paramount and she enjoyed attending our chaplaincy meetings with our chaplain. We will miss her and would like to say a huge thank you for the lovely comments.

I will pass this on to the team.

Connell Court provides an excellent environment for elderly people to live in. It is well managed and the level of care provided by all the staff takes into account the needs and wishes of the residents. The staff take the time to get to know the residents and understand both their personal and emotional needs. The residents are always treated with dignity and respect. All the facilities including the catering are maintained to a high level.
