My mother is very well cared for and has improved in many ways, physically, mentally and emotionally since arriving at Crabwall. The staff are very kind and thoughtful and I always receive a warm and friendly welcome when I visit. I only have limited knowledge of the meals and activities so not sure how much choice she has in either of these, though she rarely complains to me. The staff work well and remain cheerful in difficult circumstances with the building works.

The staff are very pleasant and welcoming. They are caring to residents and nothing is too much trouble. They are helpful to my dog and me. The activities coordinator is always there to greet us and take us around. The receptionist is bright, cheerful and very helpful.

Mum's move into Barchester Crabwall Hall was managed sensitively, with care and safely: both towards Mum and us, the family, at what is a very difficult and emotional time. The staff have been supportive, attentive and also kept us informed. Attention to detail and risk associated with Covid have been well managed. A very professional, caring team. I look forward to Covid restrictions lifting so that Mum can enjoy more activities, visits and "normal" times, including trips and visits.

I was very well looked after and only have one criticism which was minor. I think that it would be better if the heavy duvet which I appreciate was used for appearance, could be replaced at some time with a lightweight cover which would be equally attractive but more practical.

Hi, my name is Kirsty, and I am the General Manager here at Crabwall Hall.
I have been working in the care sector since 2008, when I started as a Community Care Co-ordinator, and have predominantly worked with the elderly ever since. In 2017, I moved over to work for Barchester Healthcare at Crabwall Hall in Chester as a Deputy Manager. After a couple of months, I stepped up to Acting General Manager and then stayed there as General Manager for 7 years, before moving over to Iddenshall & Beeston in September 2023 as a natural transition to the next stage of my management experience. Crabwall Hall has always felt like my home, and so I have made the decision to return.
I am proud and privileged to have had the opportunity to care for the older generation, and I hope to continue to do so for many years to come.
Outside of work, I like spending quality time with my partner, son, and our dog Alby. I have two parrots, who I am training to talk. I also enjoy swimming, exercising, and keeping active.
