Nestled in the rural village of Clotton in Cheshire, Iddenshall Hall is a 24-hour residential home that provides care for elderly people.

The Memory Lane Community, Beeston View, also offers residential and nursing care for those living with dementia. Whether long-term placement or a short spell of respite, the team at Iddenshall can provide appropriate levels of support.

Remaining active is important to us all and this attitude prevails at Iddenshall Hall. The team of activities coordinators design a regular programme of events to meet the needs, hobbies and interests of individual residents.

The home is a carefully adapted farmhouse dating back to the 16th century and, whilst oozing charm, elegance and character, has a distinctly homely feel.

Since moving into Barchester Beeston View, Dad has received excellent care from all staff. He is well looked after and enjoys all the activities the home provides. My mum is always well cared for and clean. She eats well and is much happier now she's in settled surroundings with people who genuinely care for her. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Beeston View.

Mum came into care in July 2020. She has been well looked after and cared for. Mum seems very happy and we always have a laugh. The staff have always been most helpful and have answered any questions. There seems to be lots going on in the care home for mum to join in with and mix with others.

My husband has been a resident since July 2021.
He suffers with severe Dementia and all the staff treat him with such dignity and are very kind, caring, friendly and give an excellent professional service.
Our children and I feel so blessed that he is receiving such wonderful attention and care.

Mum's stay at Beeston View was lovely. The staff were very kind and considerate, and the accommodation was excellent. The reason she was moved was to be in the same home as her sister and local to the family. The staff are a credit to the home.

When my father first came to Beeston View, he was distressed, but once he settle in and with the help of the conscientious and caring staff, my father felt happy and content as he was made to feel comfortable, sadly, as my father reached end of life. I cannot express how grateful I was to the care workers,
nurses and staff that did their utmost to make my father as comfortable as possible.

Initially, my grandad was unhappy about being in residential care, however, the staff have worked their magic to make him feel welcome and part of a caring environment.
He did learn to love the staff and this is down to them working above and beyond their job.

I can't thank the entire team at Barchester Iddenshall Hall and Beeston View Memory Lane Community downstairs facility enough. Their care and attention to my dad's well-being are exceptional, having been visiting throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, whenever the rules allowed. It is a pleasure to see how
the staff have responded to the additional rules they have had to endure and it is lovely to now visit in a more back to normal environment. I could single out a couple of people who I have contact with but it would be unfair as I know there is more to the team than the people we see on every visit. Thank you for keeping dad safe and happy and for taking the time you do.

Mum's home has been downstairs at Beeston View for many years now, and we regard it as her home and the wonderful staff as an extension of our family. The last two years have been very difficult for everyone, but I always have felt reassured that Mum’s care would continue to be excellent, knowing how
caring and trustworthy the staff are. When you go to visit, there is always a lovely, warm atmosphere; you are greeted by smiles and sometimes singing, and all the residents are treated with great dignity and respect. Mum says very little now, but I can tell she is happy and content.

The care staff are kind, patient and compassionate. My mum stayed for respite care and felt very comfortable and happy. I always found the care staff very friendly, approachable and helpful. Mum's needs were considered all the time and she had a good supply of cheese and onion crisps, which she loves.
Thank you so much.
Some feedback for the management - it would be good to have knobs on the drawers and the room had a slight urine smell, although the room looked spotlessly clean.

I met with the Unit Manager to discuss the arrangements for my mother becoming a resident. I was really impressed by her knowledge, experience and understanding of the elderly with dementia. The thoroughness of the questions to be able to ensure the level of care was appropriate from the outset was
great. The facilities for the residents look super with plenty of choices inside and outside to cater for lots of activities, or quiet spaces to read too. A very good initial experience, I think my mother will be happy there.

From the first day that I brought mum to Beeston View the staff couldn't be more helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and are always on hand to assist. The staff are not only very good at their job they are also lovely people. There is always a good selection of food served it puts my mind at rest knowing
that mum is being well cared for.

Mum has lived in Beeston view for two years now. This last year has been unthinkable for many but to be apart from your parent with advanced Alzheimer’s, it’s heartbreaking.
I wanted to write this review as a way of showing my gratitude for a couple of the carers especially. Mum has formed a strong
bond with the two carers in Beeston View and sees them as family. I can honestly say they also treat her as family and for this, I’m truly grateful. They have been my lifeline this past year and I know they’ve kept her going. Also this last couple of weeks mum had a short stay in hospital and, again, without these two carers, I wouldn’t have been able to cope. When I struggled to get information from the hospital, they helped me and informed me of every move that was being made with mum. Since she has been back to Beeston they have welcomed her back like family. I can’t tell these girls enough how thankful I am. They are true heroes in my mind and deserve a medal. Thanks so much, ladies.

    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 39 registered maximum number of service users is 7.8, which has been reached with 13 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I have been in the care sector since 2008 and have predominantly worked with the elderly. I am proud and privileged to have had the opportunity to care for the older generation, and I hope to continue to do so for many years to come.

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2023

Hi, I'm Themby and I'm the Deputy Manager here at Iddenshall Hall & Beeston View. I joined the team in 2021 as a Nurse, and then was promoted to Deputy Manager/Clinical Lead in October 2023.


I have been qualified as an Adult Nurse since 2012 and have worked as a Nurse Manager in various departments since then. I find my role very rewarding - I love that I get job satisfaction and can feed my passion for Nursing and Care at the same time, it's wonderful being part of this team!


Outside of work, I enjoy family time and watching football, and I'm always down for a road trip and some sightseeing.

My name is Julie, and I have worked at Iddenshall Hall & Beeston View since 2003. During my time in this role, I have gained my NVQ in Business Administration Level 2 and 3. I have 12 years of previous experience as a care assistant and gaining an NVQ Level 2, 3 and A1 Assessors award in care.


I support and advise families who are facing the task of trying to find a suitable care home for their loved ones. I work closely with the General Manager to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the administrative team and financial systems within the home.

Hi, I'm Tracy and I'm the Admin Assistant here at Iddenshall Hall & Beeston View. I joined the Admin team in June 2024. As the Admin Assistant, I am based on our reception where I meet and greet visitors, and pick up any queries or questions you may have about our home.


Before joining the Admin team, I was the home's Hairdresser for 2 years. I had previously had my own salon for 23 years, then I decided I wanted a change, and wanted to go back to the operations and administration side of things. I look forward to greeting you on your visit to us!
