Coming to live in Richmond village was one of the vest decisions I have ever made. I have been here now for three years and have never had a problem that couldn't be resolved. The staff are without exception kind and helpful. I think they go above and beyond what could be expected of them. The property I have (an apartment) is attractive and comfortable and the surrounding gardens and leisure area are kept superbly well. I would recommend Richmond Village to everyone.

A lovely environment, beautiful gardens. Excellent standard of decoration and cleanliness. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Staff very caring and encouraging to my mother. They walk her every day to keep her mobile - they are very patient. Meals are good and she is taken to a lovely dining room in a wheelchair. It overlooks the bowling green.

I write to recommend the 5 star Richmond Village Care Centre where my wife haw been a resident for 21 months. For the past 10 months she has been incapacitated and confined to bed on an air mattress. She can no longer feed herself and requires feeding a soft diet only and plenty of fluids. In 2012 she fractured her left humerus which required surgery and sadly an anaesthetic cock up resulted in her becoming doubly incontinent so that changing her requires 2 carers each time. In 2014 she fractured her right humerus which could not be repaired. I visit her for 4 hours a day. I am a retired consultant.

Overall Experience
Both my parents are in this home, this is both their third home and the difference from the others is outstanding:
1. Excellent, warm welcome from staff and management.
2. Quality of rooms and lounge/dining areas - excellent.
3. Interest and care shown to both parents - excellent, follow-up appointments care concerns all updated smoothly and efficiently by staff and management. Regular calls made to family updating them on GP visits/medication/health/mobility changes and concerns.
4. Quality of food is excellent. Lovely home cooked smells and flavour to meals. Meal/size and care taken with vegetables sizes to ensure eating enjoyable and not a hazard.
5. Thoughtful activities such as bingo relating to the age etc.
6. Residents able to sit outside and watch the world go by, as sun protection in gazebo in front garden, regular drinks and sun screen available to residents who can experience a reasonable time enjoying the surrounding area. Such a tonic and feel good factor all round for both family and residents.

7. Lovely relaxed home atmosphere and both my parents recent entry to the home in Feb/April 2016 has helped them settle in and relax and enjoy being well cared for. A quest for both family and loved ones over the last three years and all can look forward to enjoyment the rest of their lives - worry free - highly recommended.

I have visited Richmond Nantwich numerous times and played an active part in some of the super events they organise. Crewe and Nantwich Senior Forum are dedicated to making a difference to the health and well-being of older people. I have to say we are

always made really welcome. Staff are very generous, attentive, and always care for my needs. I appreciate, that as a wheelchair user, their attention to detail. The ambience is always upbeat and vibrant. The surroundings so clean and refreshing. The garden is a lovely space to spill out into during the summer weather. Actually as I consider our partnership working, I think what Richmond is trying to achieve. It can only be regarded as a great asset to the community - one that is growing from strength to strength. One in which the community group I represent, are proud to be contributing to.

I have found the atmosphere to be very positive and caring. When comparing care providers Richmond Village Nantwich was head and shoulders above the other providers we visited. Having now chosen Richmond Village Nantwich as a provider the reality is every bit as good as we thought it would be.

My Grandfather stayed in the care home when he was really poorly with cancer. He was treated with dignity and whenever I visited I was always welcomed no matter what time of day.

He could be very grumpy sometimes but the staff always managed to make him smile.

Review from Christine F (Friend of Resident) published on 23 May 2016 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
When my elderly neighbour moved into Richmond Village, I began visiting her on a regular basis and quickly became aware of the friendly but professional approach by the staff and management towards their residents and visitors. I often dropped in unannounced, sometimes to be told by Reception that my friend was having her hair done, listening to a concert or taking part in an activity, but please go along.

I was mayor from 2014-2015 and was regularly invited to barn dances, carol concerts, school concerts, presentation evenings and charity events. Richmond has an open door policy and warmly encourages the local community to share in its social activities with the residents.

Nantwich In Bloom also benefits from a partnership with the Village and plays host to the judges whenever they visit. The grounds are well planned and tended, my friend was a keen gardener and wandered round with the gardener sharing information.

I am very pleased to provide this review.

Richmond Village is a wonderful place, it is the perfect environment for my father who is infirm and has mild dementia. He amongst a cross section of retired people who provide a rich, stimulating environment for him. The staff care for and encourage him. The environment is of a really high standard decor and furnishings are top class and the food is delicious. Relatives and friends are welcome at all times. I find it a happy place to visit and wouldn't be disappointed to find myself there one day.

I can't thank the care home enough for the tremendous are offered to my mother since her arrival at the home in March 2015. After an initial reluctance to move into assisted living, she now considers Richmond Village home for all the right reasons. Everyone goes that extra mile treating mum as a valued person in her own right. Her mobility, dexterity and general demeanour has improved beyond expectation due to the staffs attention to detail. A truly professional organisation. Thank you.
