Richmond Villages Nantwich is proud to offer the very best in residential, respite, palliative and end of life care within an award-winning retirement village that also offers independent and assisted living apartments set in four and a half acres of landscaped gardens.

Residential care is provided at a weekly fee, dependent on each person's support requirements. Long stay, respite, convalescence and day care are all offered within the care home.

Richmond Villages Nantwich also offers a wide range of on-site facilities including a dedicated Care Home Restaurant (The Alpine Suite), The Garden Room Village Restaurant, elegant sitting rooms, a hairdressing salon and beautician, landscaped gardens and a Bowling Green. Care Home residents can invite guests to join them for lunch by reserving a table in the Garden Room Restaurant where private parties can also be catered for.

The 41-bed residential Care Home's rooms are all en-suite with electric profiling bed, TV, telephone and Wi-Fi access. Some rooms enjoy patios or balconies overlooking the gardens.

Residents are supported to live a healthy and happy life in the very best environment with a dedicated and highly skilled care team. There is a full-time activities team, a large hospitality team, maintenance team, gardeners and full-time drivers who can take you to local health appointments or to the local towns and shops on scheduled trips.

I feel comfortable well looked after and safe. The surroundings are beautiful and I like to be able to see the general public. The activities are poor and they don't stimulate people or enhance people's skills. Especially people who have sensory deprivation such as hearing or sight impairment.

My mother was a resident at Richmond Villages until January 2022. On the numerous occasions we visited, we found the staff to be very knowledgeable, experienced, polite, caring and helpful, this was always supported by my mum in conversation. There's a full programme of events arranged to keep everyone
busy and active and, most importantly, socialising. The home was always very accommodating to special requests, an example is when I asked could I arrange a meal/party to celebrate my mum's 80th birthday. They offered me the use of the main restaurant dining area and were quite happy for me to bring in a meal from the local fish and chip shop, her favourite treat. One important thing I observed during the four years my mum was a resident was a very low staff turnover, this provided her with a stable care environment delivered by familiar faces, aspects that definitely helped to reassure her.

After injuring my back/spine in a fall I spent 15 days in hospital. As I live alone I decided that a short period of rehabilitation at Richmond would be beneficial in adapting and regaining confidence. It has worked well for me. I found the staff extremely friendly, cheerful, caring and ready to help.
The atmosphere was positive and the surroundings conducive to a good recovery. The food was very satisfactory and my room was comfortable and generally well-appointed. Altogether, I am sure the time at Richmond has benefited me greatly.

My brother and I can't praise and thank the staff at Richmond Village Nantwich enough for the huge amount of care and support they have given to us and our elderly mother and father. We needed a quick response to place our mother in care when our father was hospitalised. Our mother has really benefitted
from the care and love she has received and she's laughing and smiling again. We then had to find a place for my father, when he was discharged from hospital and Richmond Village worked really hard for us to get my father into the same home so our parents could be together to celebrate their 71st wedding anniversary. We can't thank you enough for the care, support and advice you have given to us at what has been a stressful time for our family.

Richmond Village is a very well established multi-faceted care village, which offers independent living - which Mum did not experience - supported or assisted living, which gave Mum the self-confidence to live at home easily whilst still doing many of the things that she used to and care.
From day
one, Mum felt at home at Richmond Village, in part because of the feel of the place, in part by the ability to live independently whilst still being able to socialise with other residents and in part due to the staff.
The staff throughout were always friendly, knowledgeable and genuine - always pleased to see Mum or help her live as independently with an appropriate level of support as possible. Nothing was too much trouble or could not be done.
Latterly, the move from independent living to care was seamless and Richmond delivered on all their promises when Mum first moved in and she was supported and looked after in a really dignified and caring way, throughout.

The Staff at Richmond Village Nantwich are without exception the creme de la creme of their profession. There is always a warm welcome from them whenever I visit my Mother and their warmth and compassion in fulfilling her everyday needs is very evident. First-class staff, first-class facilities and

Richmond Village, Nantwich is the gold standard of Care Homes. Yes, it's not cheap, but you do get what you pay for. This I have especially seen during the Covid-19 outbreak where the love and care of the Residents have been outstanding. Richmond Village has ensured that during the lockdown all families
and residents have been able to keep in touch via video link, email, Facebook etc., plus have been sending out regular letters to families keeping us up to date about what's happening regarding testing, entertainment and other news. They have also ensured that if I need to contact them to ask anything at all, there are open channels of communication at all times.
Richmond Village is a safe and happy environment, and I hate to think what the situation would have been like if this had all happened a year ago when they were still independent living - especially as I live 200 miles away.
Thank you to the team at Richmond Village for being the best at what you do.

My mother who died in December 2019 aged 100, was very content at Richmond. She was not a sociable person but quickly developed warm relationships with the staff. Their care was outstanding. The facilities are excellent but it was the attitude of all staff that made her feel cared for and safe. It should
also be noted that the staff have a care for residents families also. Particularly when my mother died. We felt supported.

I was an independent villager until 12th October when I was admitted to hospital and returned to a room in the care unit on 20th. I will return to my flat on the 10th of January.
I am impressed by staff of all disciplines who are courteous, friendly and helpful, day and night.
I have lived here nearly
two years. The gardens are beautiful. I enjoy the varied activities, am and pm, seven days a week, catering for different mental and physical capabilities.
Good choirs, orchestras, slide and talk shows, exercises, bridge, mahjong, whist, bowls, croquet and occasional outings.
I choose to have lunch daily in the restaurant. The choice is very good and waitresses are friendly, remembering dietary needs.
I wish to emphasise how friendly and thoughtful are all the staff, which is so important. The maintenance men respond on the same day to requests. There is transport from Monday to Friday to supermarkets for one and a half hours and also Monday to Friday to dentists, hospital and doctors as needed. I have friends in care homes in the south and east of England and have not visited any which come up to the standard here.

My dad comes to stay at Richmond Village twice a year. He stays in the retreat which is lovely and has everything he needs. Staff are lovely, very approachable and always on hand if you need anything. Always something going on for my dad and he has made friends here. I feel happy knowing he has people

Attractive setting, rooms bright and beautifully decorated. Food first-rate, it is difficult to find fault with this excellent care home.
However, what raises it from the "excellent" to the superb is the staff. Never without a smile or greeting. Nothing is too much trouble. I have seen two workers
discreetly comforting a distressed/confused resident and another coaxing a reluctant eater, all with kindness and endless patience.
Therefore, the management is absolutely top rate.

Only visited for four days to sample village life with a view to buying. Staff friendly, helpful, welcoming. Village advisor friendly and informative. Grounds beautiful. Maybe office staff need help. I requested loan of pen, no spares at reception. However, one was found eventually. Repeated with a
few sheets of paper. I needed to cancel three activities and found people hunting me because not cancelled in book. None of this spoiled my stay, I enjoyed it. Cost of retreat expensive, would have stayed longer.

Lynne Griffin

Job Title: Village Manager Joined: 1996

Lynne has been working at Richmond Village Nantwich since 1996. Her role as Village Manager means she is responsible for all aspects of day-to-day life in the village. She spends time dealing with issues raised by residents, potential residents and staff. Lynne also provides support to all the Heads of Department in their roles and helps out as and when needed. She is also responsible for maintaining a set budget, future planning for the village, management reporting, etc. Lynne also spends time networking and promoting the village.


‘The best part of the day is when I am spending time with our residents. They have had amazing lives and I am proud that we are able to help them to continue to enjoy life to the full,’ says Lynne.

Allyson is the Head of Care/Registered Manager for the residential care home within the Richmond Village Nantwich and has to adhere to the care standards requirements of the care home thus maintaining the care rating given to us by CQC after our inspection report.


She organises all admissions and discharges from the care home and ensures that the care delivered to the clients is always of the highest standards, delivered safely and with dignity.


Allyson promotes an "open door" policy for all who live, work and visit the care home, and is always willing to listen to feedback.

Nicola also helps to organise events both in and out of the Village, including charity balls, fayres and exhibitions.
