My second visit was again very pleasant, everyone was very friendly and helpful when necessary. My one issue was, it was on the lovely sunny side, which unfortunately resulted in me having the curtains drawn on most days. On my previous visit (June 2018) I was in a room at the end of a corridor, where the light was ideal for my eyesight. I shall request this, if available, on future visits. My only issues on my last visit were the waste bins were not always emptied and occasionally the bed was unmade.
Thank you so much for review and for taking the time to complete this. We look forward to welcoming her back again very soon.
Mum stayed for one week's respite care. It was her first time away from home and she was very apprehensive. Richmond Village couldn't have done more to make her feel at home including breakfast in her room (at any time) if she wanted. Mum is a fussy eater, however, the food was first class and a homely touch was the various sweet snacks left out for the residents to take at any time. There were varied activities which were optional and she did join in more than we expected. We are now looking for a magic painting kit to use at home. The room was comfortable if slightly on the small side but perfectly adequate for one week's stay. We would go back to Richmond and would definitely recommend.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this review. It is lovely to hear that your mum enjoyed her stay here; we do have a number of different room types but we cannot guarantee the type of room that will be allocated for a short stay. We do hope that she will come back and see us soon.
I enjoyed my stay for the week. The staff were helpful and caring. This was a retreat week and everything was fine.
My mum recently had one week's respite at Richmond Nantwich. She loved it and the staff were so kind. The only issue was she was only showered twice in seven days. I did speak to one of the carers looking after my mum and she said she had asked my mum if she wanted a shower and she said no. My mum has dementia which obviously the staff were aware of. We did point out at her assessment you have to take control of some things eg 'yes you are having a shower'. It was during a very hot period of July. Perhaps more training on dementia?
Thank you for your review and your comments. The care we provide is very much centred around the person and we have to respect the wishes of each individual resident at all times. Whilst we are able to accommodate those living with dementia we are a residential home which we do make everyone aware...
Everything else was excellent.
Young lady who assisted with showers was kind and considerate and treated me with respect.
Although the Richmond experience comes at a premium compared to other care homes in Nantwich at the time, this is the only one we felt Mother would be comfortable in. The support and activities were excellent, always encouraging the residents to participate. Although the room was a bit cramped, careful arrangement of the furniture improved this and all rooms appear to have full toilet/wetroom. Lovely gardens.
Thank you for your lovely review. We were privileged to be able to look after your mum and miss her here in our Village.
The care and attention given to each individual resident is of an extremely high standard. Residents never feel rushed and are treated with kindness and affection. Nothing is too much trouble and all staff, from the cleaners to management, will always strive to ensure my mum is looked after and all her needs are met. There are lots of activities to socialise without anyone having to sit round the edge of a large room watching TV. Lots of lovely relaxing areas making it home from home.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Richmond Nantwich. The accommodation is great and the staff were never patronising to Mum but always straightforward and kind.
Thank you so much for your review - we all miss your mum and her wonderful smile!
Excellent room, good food, pleasant and welcoming staff.
Thank you for this review. It was a pleasure to see you and we hope you will return to stay with us again.
My wife and I went from one care home to another for a change of scenery. We found the staff very caring and friendly. We could have wished for more communal activities to share with other residents and be stimulated rather than left to our own devices - watching T.V.
Thank you for taking the time to fill out this questionnaire. As a more established village, we do not have the same leisure facilities that many of our newer villages enjoy such as spas, dedicated activity rooms and swimming pools however we do our very best to provide a stimulating and varied...
My 81-year-old mother and I visited Richmond Nantwich for a respite retreat weekend.
My mum is registered disabled. The staff were very attentive, professional and supportive. The meals provided, quality of service and menu options were plentiful. The standard of accommodation exceeded our expectations. My mum felt very relaxed during her stay and her needs were met with the care staff being on hand 24/7. I was able to bring along my pet dog and when mum was relaxing, we'd go off for a nice walk into the town centre and the beautiful riverside and to see the bird sanctuary. A lovely weekend was had, very restorative. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this lovely review; we are so pleased that you enjoyed your time with us and we hope that you will come and visit again soon.
Apart from two assistants, the staff were excellent and most polite. The room provided had problems:
Too small - no comfortable chair. Two hangers (one a battered wire one).
Double bedspread on a single bed - dangerous overhanging.
TV problems, many.
But good outlet, view.On the whole good food, particularly soups and puddings.
Thank you for your review.
I am aware that a member of staff spoke to you whilst you were here to explain that the room allocated was one of our standard respite rooms. Many of our rooms have recently been extended to include outside patios and balconies but these are occupied by our...
The staff were friendly and helpful and communicated with us when there was a problem. We would highly recommend Richmond Nantwich for all these reasons and the cleanliness of the whole area was good despite building work going on.
Thank you so much for your lovely review - it is lovely to hear that you are so happy with the support and care that they received whilst here. I hope that we see them both again very soon.
We came to visit a friend in your care home last month and we thought the staff were very friendly and helpful. The home had a lovely atmosphere and although we were only there for a short time. The first impression was very good indeed. The home itself was beautiful also the surrounding area.
Although there was work going on externally, the workmen were considerate.
The food was of a good nutritious quality. The catering staff were kind and courteous,
The care staff were excellent and offered help when needed. I was not afraid to ask for anything a really good standard. A little bit expensive but you pay for excellence.
Thank you so much for your review. We hope that you are continuing to improve now that you are back home.
Care and attention to detail which is much more than we expected. They genuinely want to help every resident to settle in and enjoy their day.
Thank you so much for your kind review - your comments are very much appreciated.
Accommodation, food etc is all good but the highlight is the attentiveness of the staff offering a level of care over and above that which is strictly required.
Thank you very much for your comments. We completely agree that it is most definitely everyone who works here that offers a level of care over and above that which is strictly required which makes it a lovely place to be.
My father is now in his sixth week following hospital discharge directly to Richmond his care has been exemplary during periods of exacerbated illness. During times when he has felt well, the staff have been very encouraging to include him in socialising and attending activities whilst my father would love to be in his own home Richmond has provided the next best thing.
Thank you for your lovely review. We could never hope to replace someone's home with all the cherished memories it holds, however, we all do our very best to make Richmond Nantwich, as you say "the next best thing".
Lovely decor throughout including painting on the wall and bright airy rooms. I was impressed with the dining areas and the wide range of activities taking place. A beautiful television room and everything was so clean. All the staff were very friendly.
Thank you for your review, Gillian, we very much appreciate your comments. We too love the decor which is chosen by an interior designer, the lounges are particularly warm and welcoming. We hope you will visit again soon.
This was my first visit and I was very impressed with everything. The home is beautifully decorated, very homely and spotlessly clean. As a visitor, I felt very welcome and the staff were helpful and friendly. My relatives room was lovely and she was obviously happy with the facilities and activities.
Thank you for completing this review; I am pleased you felt so welcome as we all feel that this is a very happy place to be whether living or working here or just visiting! Please do come and visit again!

The feedback from residents and families really speaks for itself, and it makes you feel proud to be part of something so well thought of." "No two days are ever the same, which I love, but what really stands out is the support from the whole village team. Whether it's care staff, hospitality, housekeeping, or kitchen teams, everyone works together to make sure residents receive the highest standard of care possible."
